Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Su Changxing stared at the scene, falling into a brief silence, ”The power is still very strong, actually directly piercing through Big Horn’s flesh.”

The next moment, Big Horn broke free from the trap. Although he seemed to have a big hole in his abdomen, with blood gushing out continuously, it didn’t affect his movement, nor counted as a major injury.

”Ah!!”

With his clumsy brain, clumsily realizing he seemed to have stepped on quite a crude trap, he let out a roar of anger and shame.

”Who would put such a trap here, without other zombies stepping on it?” Su Changxing looked around but didn’t see anyone else, as if this was just a trap left behind by someone.

It might just be an accident.

Just after taking a few steps along the street, Su Changxing saw another similar spike trap quietly placed behind an abandoned, rusty bus, seemingly waiting for them.

If the previous trap could be explained as an accident, then having another trap here was inexplicable. Did someone deliberately put them here, waiting for them?

Just at this moment, Su Changxing watched as Big Horn walked straight onto the spike trap, as if he didn’t see it.

Snap~

The trap was triggered again, slender spikes piercing Big Horn’s body, bringing out dark red blood.

Su Changxing was stunned for a moment, couldn’t help but comment, ”Can’t you see such an obvious trap? You’re stepping on it again after just triggering one.”

He even suspected Big Horn was purely seeking excitement, thus stepping on it again, possibly having a masochistic tendency.

The Monkey King had a masochistic tendency back then...

This reminded him of the lost ”Monkey King” in this world, wandering in the No-Man’s Land, likely turned to dust in the passage of time.

Big Horn broke free from the trap again, letting out an angry roar, hearing Su Changxing’s words, defended himself, ”Haa ya.”

Meaning he indeed didn’t purposely step on it, nor noticed the trap, saying it was too concealed, causing him not to notice it.

Too concealed?

Just placed on the street, what concealment...

Su Changxing paused, realizing Big Horn might not have missed it or stepped on it intentionally, perhaps some Extraordinary Power was influencing him secretly.

But why wasn’t he affected, while Big Horn was? That was strange, logically speaking, Big Horn as a Tier Eight Extraordinary Creature should have stronger resistance in this aspect.

Snap~

A crisp sound came to his ears. Before the trap closed, Su Changxing anticipated it in advance, retracting his leg, narrowly avoiding the spike on the trap.

Unknowingly, he stepped on a trap, smaller than those Big Horn stepped on, with finer wooden spikes.

If not for his quick reaction, his entire thigh might have been pierced by the wooden spikes, potentially affecting his mobility if bones were injured.

Big Horn once again broke free from the trap, appearing rather embarrassed this time, with likely a broken bone, limping in his movement.

Someone was quietly watching them like a hunter, setting traps, waiting for them to step into them and bring doom upon themselves.

This person was very strong, at least stronger than Big Horn. Without Su Changxing, Big Horn would likely be toyed to death by these traps, unable to escape after stepping on one or two more.

”Possessing special hiding abilities, probably nearby, just hiding using abilities or some Mysterious Item.” Su Changxing looked down at the closed trap, instinctively taking a step back, then felt something unusual. Looking up, he saw a black spear shooting straight at him from the front.

Very fast.

However, dodging was still possible.

With a sidestep, Su Changxing easily dodged the black spear. The spear struck the dilapidated bus, sparking and making a piercing sound.

Snap~

The trap was triggered. In this situation, he finally didn’t react in time, his left foot pierced by the trap’s wooden spike.

”Don’t move recklessly.”

Su Changxing saw Big Horn trying to come over, reminded him, looked around at the silent surroundings, then checked in the direction where the spear came from, which was straight ahead on the street, but didn’t see the target.

There were only a few fallen zombies, with fresh wounds, their heads punctured.

Su Changxing didn’t immediately chase after them, mainly because he wasn’t clear how many traps were set here.

He could see the largest trap, but Big Horn couldn’t, while the smaller ones he also couldn’t see.

His combat power wasn’t weak, but his defense was frail. Even these small traps could cause effective damage to his body.

Stepping on one or two didn’t matter much, but stepping on several could cripple both feet, losing mobility, which was fatal.

The opponent was also rather cautious, not showing up after Big Horn stepped on two traps.

Note, Big Horn was a Tier Eight Extraordinary Creature, while the opponent was just a Tier Nine Extraordinary Creature. The opponent’s attention should be more on Big Horn.

When Big Horn stepped on the second trap, that should have been the best time for the opponent to attack.

So...

Su Changxing showed caution, strongly feeling the opponent came for him, possibly from the nearby settlement, having a grudge since he killed that six-person Extraordinary team, deliberately coming to hunt him down.

This person’s power was excessively strong, unexpectedly, at least a top-level Tier Eight Extraordinary.

While he was just an ordinary Extraordinary Zombie. Without Big Horn, the situation might be harder to handle, with Big Horn stepping on traps as a warning, otherwise, he might have already fallen for it.

Swish.

Another spear shot over from the front, arriving in front of Su Changxing in the blink of an eye, but he hadn’t escaped the trap yet, with the wooden spikes still stuck in his left thigh.

He had no choice but to swing the Silver-White Machete in his hand, precisely hitting the side of the spearhead, deflecting it.

The power from the spear was strong. If his ability hadn’t been further enhanced, he might not have successfully deflected it.

Then, Su Changxing opened the trap with his hands, groped forward, trying to sense the traps around, but achieved no results.
