Global Game: I Have Portable Store

The factory district in the outer city seemed particularly silent at night, with no one on the streets and no lights, only the silhouettes of stray dogs could be seen.

”I didn’t expect you would actually agree,” Angisun said, appearing deeply moved.

Adis smiled, ”We are bonded by life and death. Without you, I couldn’t have escaped from the dungeon.”

”Besides, I think your plan is good. If it succeeds, it might even crush the Black Rope Sect.”

Though Angisun didn’t say anything, he felt deeply touched inside, believing Adis was doing this because of him. Despite not knowing each other for long, they shared mutual camaraderie, probably because such a bond allows open conversation.

A group of dozens of them snuck through the alleys from the warehouse district. The Black Rope Sect’s chapel wasn’t in the city’s center, initially similar to the situation with the All Beings Sect, so the chapel was located on the city outskirts. Few civilians lived here, though during the daytime, many workers would come to work.

The second bell of the night rang out.

This was the signal for Yifa and others to initiate an attack.

They would launch a fierce assault on the Black Rope Sect at this time to divert attention and help them get close to the chapel of the Black Rope Sect.

Then.

Loud gunfire erupted from the distant streets, echoing through the night sky of Du Lancheng, awakening many from their sleep.

The Black Rope Sect was alert, immediately deploying surrounding believers to support and assist in that direction.

Right then.

Adis and others heard heavy thumps on the street, like something was running fiercely, then saw two giant shadows passing through the street beside them, without noticing their presence.

”Those are werewolves!” Adis instantly identified what they were and couldn’t help but gasp.

Two werewolves were not 1 + 1; their fighting power was definitely 1 + 1 > 2. Even if their group could defeat the two werewolves, it would be with heavy casualties, leaving no strength to ambush the Black Rope Sect’s chapel.

Angisun also took a deep breath, ”Luckily, we weren’t discovered, but we must be careful; there might be more werewolves. It seems the Black Rope Sect has made many such monsters, as if they’ve gone mad.”

”I’m sure there’s an Evil God behind them,” said another man with a short beard wearing a worker’s cap, named Sherlock. Earlier he was a Guard of the Antu Commerce Association, and his fighting ability was top-notch, as evident from the Big Axe he carried in his left hand.

Angisun retorted without politeness, ”Nonsense, only a cult would create werewolf kinds of creatures.”

They hadn’t yet reached the chapel of the Black God Cult when they heard quite a commotion ahead, like someone singing in a strange tune, unclear what the song was.

”This is already Black Rope Sect’s place, what are they up to?”

Adis peeked out to see a small square with many believers gathered there. In the middle, there was a bonfire, and more than a dozen blood-soaked naked people were tied to stakes, surrounded by numerous bundles of straw.

Angisun looked back, ”Should we take them out? This seems like the Black Rope Sect’s Priest ceremony. There are many ancient writings on the ground.”

Adis shook his head, ”Don’t alert them; we’ll quietly bypass them. Our goal is to assassinate Valian, others don’t matter.”

He knew their purpose clearly for this mission.

Silently bypassing, they didn’t disturb the people in the square, but shortly after they walked past, they heard a wolf howl behind them.

”They are creating those monsters!” Angisun suddenly realized, understanding that the Black Rope Sect was transforming people into monsters through this method.

Adis looked up at the chapel ahead and said, ”No time, we’ll go straight ahead. If we don’t handle the Black Rope Sect today, tomorrow there might be a surge of monsters.”

They were a group of Death Warriors with no retreat, likely none would survive today, but they were determined to kill the Great Sect Leader of the Black Rope Sect.

He had a strong premonition that they would definitely succeed.

Indeed, as they approached the chapel, they saw from afar that the large chapel had no Guards, only scattered believers occasionally going in and out.

Due to Yifa and others’ attack, most of the Black Rope Sect’s believers had gone to defend.

”I’ll go in first. Wait until you hear gunfire, then charge in. If there’s no movement within ten minutes, stick to the plan,”

Adis told others, disappearing into the night, his figure transformed into a shadow getting closer to the Black Rope Sect’s chapel.

During today’s surprise blockade, he discovered that his Divine Position wasn’t too limited, even outside the All Beings Sect’s Faith area, it still worked, albeit with some degree of weakening.

Just entering the Black Rope Sect, Adis had a bad feeling, as if a pair of eyes was secretly watching him.

Who was it?

Yet the chapel showed no abnormality.

He glanced at the central statue in the chapel, depicting a man entwined in countless serpents, those serpents seemed alive, their tongues vibrating audibly, emitting a hissing sound.

His heartbeat gradually accelerated, and unconsciously, his palms were sweaty.

Finally.

In a small room in the side hall, he found the Great Sect Leader, Valian’s figure.

”Let them have their fun for another night, tomorrow we’ll show them!” Valian said with a hint of anger, his aged face full of cunning.

Beside him, an Elder with a broken leg leaning on a crutch spoke deeply, ”The All Beings Sect guys must have other intentions if they’re attacking so actively, otherwise they wouldn’t do this.”

Tonight’s actions of the All Beings Sect seemed odd to them, like a bluff, since the Black Rope Sect had many people, even if some died, it wouldn’t affect them much.

”Whatever they intend, it’s not significant. The Black God is very interested in these people from the All Beings Sect and is willing to grant us more Power.”

”Gentlemen, the barriers of the world are growing thinner, we’ll move towards a glorious future!”

As the words fell.

The rotating fan on the table made a noise, the room lights flickered suddenly.

A shadow swiftly appeared in the small room, sticking to the wall, slashing with a sword towards the crippled Elder.

Clang~

With a loud collision sound.

The legless Elder surprisingly used his crutch to block the slash!

But, Adis wasn’t targeting him, turning his head towards the Great Sect Leader while raising the Firearms.

”How did you get in?” Valian asked with a frown.

Then, the gunfire rang out.

Adis’s shooting skill was poor, but at such distance, he had a great chance of hitting.

Bam~

With the sound of a firearm, Valian was startled.

The shot precisely hit the wall above his head, forming a small but noticeable indentation.

Valian stiffly laughed, ”Kid, your shooting skills seem lacking!”
