Global Game: I Have Portable Store

”First, take shelter in the surrounding houses, and don’t run around to avoid being accidentally injured!”

The believers were organizing the crowd to take refuge in the surrounding houses. Running on the street at this time made them live targets, easily accidentally injured.

However, even so, quite a few civilians on the street were shot, falling into a pool of blood, or tripped and trampled.

The scene was chaotic.

Meanwhile, the battle between both sides was getting fiercer. At first, there was a distant firearms exchange, but then the Black Rope Sect realized they weren’t at an advantage with this method and charged with weapons for close combat with the All Beings Sect.

Although many died during the charge, the Black Rope Sect gathered a lot of people, numbering two to three thousand, and more were still joining them.

Adis was shocked by this scene, not expecting the Black Rope Sect to create such a huge spectacle, nor expecting them to gather so many people in such a short time.

”With so many people, I fear we are not their match!” His eye twitched slightly, feeling very uneasy.

The Black Rope Sect had too many people, so much that the gap in numbers was evident at a glance, and such a gap was likely hard to bridge.

Angisun was also stunned, not expecting the Black Rope Sect to have developed to this extent during his time in the dungeon, becoming a full army capable of confronting Du Lan head-on.

”No wonder they’re so rampant. I suppose the All Beings Sect also has a backup plan, considering the High Priest is standing at the door watching with no sign of panic.”

He glanced back at Nobu, who was standing at the door smoking, looking indifferent.

The civilians on the street had mostly evacuated, and believers of the Black God Cult were charging down the street, led by dozens of guards in iron armor.

Such equipment could somewhat defend against firearm shots, but the All Beings Sect used the latest firearms with immense power, easily penetrating the iron armor worn by the guards.

In ten seconds or so, the guards at the front had been shot two or three times and fell to the ground, convulsing.

When their iron armor could no longer withstand the shots, it became a burden, making them run slower and easier targets for firearms.

With so many firearms firing simultaneously in the area, visible black smoke drifted around, and the pungent smell of gunpowder was distinctly detectable.

Yifa was the captain of the Law Enforcement Team, theoretically the highest combat force in this expedition army, blessed by the Lord, holding a divine position, a Temple Knight.

Behind him followed a dozen knights also carrying heavy swords, wearing leather armor and boots, with hair tied at their nape.

”Are you ready?”

Nobu put down his pipe, the energy around him becoming unstable, white light flashing in his eyes.

He waved his left hand, a dozen white lights blessing Yifa and others, forming a halo like armor.

The next moment.

Yifa led his men, forming a line along the street, colliding with the advancing Black Rope Sect believers.

At the first instance.

Their giant swords ruthlessly slaughtered dozens of Black Rope Sect believers.

With an enormous strength, he used his shoulder to knock a Black God Cult believer flying, also toppling dozens more behind him, overwhelming twenty or thirty people with his own power.

Such divine power was unprecedented.

They only needed to charge and attack freely, as incoming bullets would be deflected by the white halo, as were the sweeping blades.

”Kill, for the Lord!” Yifa roared wildly, a far cry from his usual calm and collected self.

At this moment, he seemed like a beast, a beast that only knew rage.

Being too far ahead alone, surrounded by Black Rope Sect believers, wounds both light and heavy appeared on his body, blood staining his blue and white church vestments.

”Light!”

He shouted again, raising his great sword, an invisible force pushing people around away, forming a large circle in the crowd.

The nearby people showed terrified expressions, knowing he was a monster, a monster that looked like a human.

Humans shouldn’t possess such immense power.

With Yifa and his men rampaging, the approaching Black Rope Sect believers were forced to retreat, leaving many corpses along the street.

At this time.

A man with an elderly face, dressed in ornate robes, watched from a nearby bell tower; he was Valian, leader of the Black God Cult.

The moment Yifa and others appeared, he felt uneasy, sensed a power not belonging to humans, a power breaking the world’s constraints.

”Their Divine Spirit has intervened in mortal affairs, this...”

He felt that their Black God was too unconcerned with them, communicating only during sacrificial rites and granting just a tiny bit of power.

”We can’t sit back and wait; arrange the sacrificial ceremony immediately. We need to seek more blessing from the Black God to win this war.”

Valian knew well that the All Beings Sect was not simple; just the fact that they could cure the plague was evident enough.

This was something their Black Rope Sect had always wanted to achieve but never had the power to accomplish.

The Elder beside him nodded: ”No problem, I’ll arrange it right away, the people are ready. Surely the Black God won’t be stingy with blessings this time, given these guys have become a threat to us.”

They had already been prepared to destroy the All Beings Sect since their arrival; this was their territory, allowing no interference, not even a speck of dust.

Moreover, the All Beings Sect was no mere dust, but a huge threat.

Valian nodded: ”Remember, spare no cost. If we can seize the plague cure from them, controlling the entire Southern Continent isn’t impossible.”

If the Black Rope Sect had such means, they would have long controlled the surrounding cities, becoming far stronger than now, and establishing a Church Nation once the plague ended wouldn’t be impossible.

So they never even considered negotiating with the All Beings Sect.

From the start, they planned to eliminate them.

They had been gathering people from the beginning, just not showing their intentions, to relax the All Beings Sect’s vigilance.

The battle continued, gunfire mixed with hand grenade explosions; with Yifa and other Law Enforcement members present, the All Beings Sect had a significant advantage.

However, the battle remained brutal, people falling every moment.

It became clear that as the fight progressed, the All Beings Sect’s advantage grew, each person fighting madly ahead, disregarding life and death.

From the battle’s start, no one retreated or fled; everyone fought like the most elite, highly trained warriors.

The night bell tolled in the city as the Black Rope Sect forces began to collapse, realizing they faced demonic madmen.

Two hand grenades exploded in the middle of the street, and the Black Rope Sect believers at the back began to flee, running in all directions, even crouching down, discarding their black robes.

The sunset’s afterglow cast an unusual beauty over the blood-soaked streets. Seeing the Black Rope Sect retreat, Yifa did not lead a pursuit but stood still, watching them leave.

The power from the Lord could only be wielded where faith spread.

”Clear the casualties, execute those still alive on the ground.” Yifa casually instructed beside him while carrying the great sword.

The Law Enforcement Team was a military force, trained for the expedition.

He was the fourth person in the All Beings Sect granted a divine position, able to endow himself and nearby believers with unimaginable power.

The bloody street made those considering joining the All Beings Sect pause slightly, but many still rushed to join, as the All Beings Sect seemed to have won this battle.
