Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Chapter 507: Chapter 91: ?? Butcher

[Bloody hand Butcher (Daytime, combat effectiveness halved)]

”What the hell? Is it because of my strength?”

Su Changxing found out that his task was completely different from others, and his identity was actually the boss character.

This was something he hadn’t anticipated before.

”I really didn’t plan on becoming a homicidal maniac.”

Su Changxing staggered up from the ground, a bit unsure how to react. The tasks the Doomsday Game assigned to him were strange, and it seemed difficult for him to harm ordinary people.

Does this count as the big villain?

It was daytime. On a nearby branch, a worn yellow straw hat, a brand-new blue t-shirt, and a pair of punctured jeans were hanging.

Su Changxing inspected his surroundings and noticed that the soil on the ground was loose, as if newly dug up and refilled, with a blood-stained shovel leaning against a tree.

He knew he had just killed someone and buried the body. He could even smell the fresh stench of blood mixed with the earth.

”Hmm, the cleanup is not finished yet.”

Su Changxin hesitated for a moment, frowned, picked up the shovel, and compacted the soil.

This should be considered part of the task; getting discovered at this moment would mean big trouble.

He hadn’t even figured out what was going on yet.

What kind of experience is it to be forced to become a killer?

It’s exactly like his current state, confused and helpless, not wanting to do it, yet having no choice.

He’s not a killer, but he is a killer.

Su Changxing changed his clothes, handling his old tattered outfit in the process, and then walked toward the farm not far away.

It was his farm, inherited from his father, or rather from Klein. Under his management, the farm’s size had more than tripled.

Walking back to the farm, there were still employees working inside.

A woman with brunette hair, wearing gloves and an apron, saw Su Changxing enter and called out:

”Boss, there was a new order just now, it’s on the table. Take a look to see if you can take it.”

[Your employee, Isha, a timid woman whom you took in during her most difficult time.]

Su Changxing looked at this slender but capable white woman and said with a smile, ”Alright, you keep busy.”

The woman showed no signs of abnormality, as if he was indeed Klein, or perhaps he really was.

On the other side of the farm, thousands of pigs were enclosed, and they were quite unusual. Not only were they not afraid of people, but they would also sometimes chase people, appearing somewhat terrifying. The local children didn’t dare to come close to observe them.

Su Changxing had barely sat down in a room, intending to rest and consider his next move when he sensed activity outside.

Looking out through the window.

A group of police officers in dark uniforms was coming inside.

His face stiffened, feeling it was too soon, and he had no choice but to go out and greet them.

The leader was a fat chief with a long bushy beard and a delicate black pipe at his waist. Looking at Su Changxing, he said:

”Hello, you must be Klein? I’m Chief Ford. We received a report that someone has gone missing around here, so we’re here to investigate.”

Su Changxing thought this was not good. It looked like the task might be over even before it started. Was he supposed to deal with the chief and the policemen, as well as the surrounding employees?

Then, his face showed anger blended with urgency, and he immediately said:

”Missing? How could that be? We’re a legitimate farm. There’s no way something like that could happen. Someone must be jealous of us.”

Chief Ford, understanding, smiled and said, ”We’re just following procedure, don’t be nervous. There are always busybodies and idle fools, haha.”

Su Changxing was a bit surprised, thinking there would be trouble, but seemed there was a turn for the better.

Chief Ford’s attitude seemed rather perfunctory, not really like he was conducting an official investigation.

Understanding the situation, he smiled and said:

”Feel free to look around. Would you like something to drink? I could even fry up some pork chops. Everyone knows my chops are the best.”

Who doesn’t like a butcher who can fry pork chops?

Chief Ford politely smiled again and said, ”That wouldn’t be appropriate, we’re on duty. But thank you for the kind offer.”

Soon enough,

The officers took a quick look around without finding anything wrong and felt that someone as straightforward as Klein couldn’t possibly have issues, so they left.

Watching the officers leave, Su Changxing wore a look of surprise. He finally understood why private detectives were necessary in this era.

The police basically had no initiative in investigating cases, or rather, they didn’t want to. Less trouble was better unless it was unavoidable.

This was a world possessing Extraordinary Powers, yet most ordinary people were unaware of its existence.

But where were the players?

Su Changxing raised an eyebrow, sensing that one of the officers had been eyeing him oddly, seemingly scrutinizing him constantly.

”Was that a player?”

He took a deep breath, feeling the dull pain from his injuries still lingering. Fortunately, he wasn’t exposed just now; exposure would have been a big problem. He was seriously injured, and his powers were also weakened.

A character panel with an experience bar appeared in front of him.

[28000/20000 XP]

Not only was his experience full, but it also exceeded by 8,000.

It wasn’t surprising for it to be full, as his Mysteriousness was already full. But why did it exceed by 8,000?

”So, just by relying on experience, it’s impossible to reach my current state... Advancing still requires a Fossil Stone.”

Su Changxing looked at the deep black Fossil Stone in his hand. After a moment of hesitation, he crushed it, and blue light spread along his arm.

[New waiting, forming a position...]

He somewhat anticipated his next tier position. Tier Seven is generally related to combat professions, and his position should be related to a Gunman.

He was confident in this point.

Until the moment it’s completely solidified, everything is unknown. The randomness of the Fossil Stone is significant, but the formed position has a high Compatibility.

······

A massive amount of dense information popped up.

The Doomsday Game began to spasm again, as if entering some kind of dead loop.

Su Changxing roughly understood what this was about. His position, formed by the heretic Matrix, wasn’t a normal Extraordinary position.

It wasn’t surprising that such issues would occur in the Doomsday Game.

But as it continued to be stuck in this state, what should he do... Su Changxing stared at his phone, his mind beginning to guess aimlessly. If the Doomsday Game couldn’t form the corresponding position, he really didn’t have a solution at the moment.

Relying on self-insight to break through?

That’s a bit exaggerated and unlikely. Often, you need to stand on the shoulders of predecessors to go further.

Soon, the Doomsday Game responded.

[Tier Seven, ?? Butcher: 28000/40000 XP]

[Advance upon full XP]

”Butcher? Why is it a Butcher?”

Su Changxing was puzzled. He originally thought the formed position should at least be related to firearms, but it had no connection at all.

Hmm, not entirely unrelated. A Butcher can also wield a gun, there’s a slight connection.
