A Warm Marriage After Rebirth

Chapter 365: Chapter 365: Won (5)

”Fall out!”

”Yes, sir!”

”The basics of military posture! Feet apart at a sixty-degree angle, legs straight, hands hanging naturally at your sides. Suck in your stomach, puff out your chest, head up, eyes forward, shoulders back.”

It was almost a subconscious reaction. For every command the instructor barked, Seraphina Sterling followed it to the letter. Everyone watched, dumbfounded. It was too perfect—just as perfect as the instructor’s own demonstration just moments before!

”Very good. Hold that position—for one hour!”

Er—Seraphina stared at him, stunned. ’You bastard!’ ’So in the end, you were going to punish me anyway!’ She felt the overwhelming urge to strangle him.

She had thought university life would be wonderful and peaceful! Seraphina Sterling never imagined she’d be punished with an hour of standing at attention on the very first day of military training. Even though she had the foundation of Terrence Grant’s inhumane training, being forced to stand at attention for an hour for no reason still left Seraphina incredibly ticked off.

It seemed the instructor was now dead set on challenging Seraphina. Every day after that, whenever they learned a new movement, he would absolutely pull Seraphina out to do a demonstration. But no matter the movement, Seraphina performed it perfectly, leaving even the instructor with no reason to punish her.

As for Shelby Fenton, during that one-hour punishment on the first day, she hadn’t even made it to forty minutes before fainting. She was carted away by an ambulance and had been recuperating in the hospital ever since. She never appeared at training again. Whether she was genuinely ill and needed to recover, or if she was just using it as an excuse to get out of the grueling military training, only Shelby herself knew.

For two weeks straight, Seraphina Sterling became the model cadet. Her demonstrations were even more precise than the instructor’s—in all of Aethelgard University, she was one of a kind. After two weeks, there wasn’t a single person in the class who didn’t admire her. A girl performing every single drill so perfectly... that was something even the boys couldn’t do. Many times, even they could tell the instructor was deliberately making things difficult for her, yet Seraphina never uttered a single word of protest. That was a feat not just anyone could manage.

Thanks to Seraphina’s brilliant performance under this ”special treatment,” and because of the instructor’s abnormal harshness, the Management First Class’s military training scores were consistently number one in the entire university. The boys thought, ’We can’t let a girl outperform us,’ while the girls thought, ’If Seraphina can do it so well, so can we!’ With that kind of mindset, how could the Management First Class’s scores not be excellent in the weekly evaluations? The instructor was more than satisfied with this outcome.

「The fifteenth day of military training.」

”Yesterday, we finished learning military combat boxing! Starting today, we learn hand-to-hand combat! I’ll demonstrate it for you all once!”

While the instructor demonstrated, Seraphina wasn’t idle. She committed his every move and footstep to memory. ’Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.’ When they learned military combat boxing, the instructor had only demonstrated it once before making her repeat it. A single mistake meant fifty push-ups. ’This instructor has been targeting me from the very beginning! I can’t be careless this time.’

After finishing his demonstration, the instructor’s gaze landed directly on Seraphina Sterling. ”Seraphina Sterling, fall out!”

”Yes, sir!”

Everyone couldn’t help but sigh collectively. ’Here we go again!’ ’Does this instructor have a grudge against Seraphina or something? He punished her with an hour of standing at attention on the first day, and just a few days ago, he made her do fifty push-ups!’ ’And now this?’ ’Who knows what kind of twisted new trick this psycho instructor has come up with to deal with Seraphina?’

”Don’t be so tense, everyone! I know, you’re all just incredibly envious of Seraphina’s special treatment, aren’t you? Anyone else want this special treatment? Raise your hand!” The instructor narrowed his eyes. ’This bunch of little brats! They’re all cursing me out in their heads? They really don’t know their place! They’ve got a death wish!’
