Chapter 333: NZNT: Chapter 333

The two Ryūjin Jakka, one large and one small, both blazing with intense, high-temperature flames, collided with a thunderous crash. A towering explosion of fire erupted, spreading outwards towards the surrounding area.

The nearby Shinigami immediately retreated, while Tōshirō Hitsugaya, already awakened by the intense heat, displayed remarkable loyalty, shouldering the unconscious Komamura Sajin—several times his size—before escaping the flames.

The explosion of fire melted the surrounding stone for hundreds of meters, transforming the area into a sea of churning magma.

Yusuke, controlling Susanoo, continued his intense exchange with Yamamoto Genryūsai amidst the fiery landscape.

Meanwhile, Ichigo Kurosaki and Mirai Saru’s battle reached a fever pitch, two dark figures constantly clashing, the clang of steel echoing through the air.

Their strengths were nearly evenly matched; Mirai Saru possessed slightly superior speed, but Ichigo Kurosaki held a greater spiritual pressure.

However, under the strain of this high-intensity battle, Ichigo Kurosaki began to feel the pressure.

He was currently using his Bankai, a power he couldn’t sustain for long.

Mirai Saru, on the other hand, was only using his Shikai, showing no signs of fatigue. It was clear that a prolonged battle would inevitably result in Ichigo Kurosaki’s defeat.

Realizing he could maintain his current state for only about a minute, Ichigo Kurosaki decided on a mutually destructive strategy: to act as bait, drawing Mirai Saru’s attacks, and seizing an opportunity for a decisive counter-strike!

With his plan set, Ichigo Kurosaki ceased his evasive maneuvers.

Instead of dodging Mirai Saru’s attacks, he directly countered, aiming for Mirai Saru’s vital points, adopting a reckless, all-or-nothing approach.

Mirai Saru noticed the shift in Ichigo Kurosaki’s fighting style.

However, holding back his full power, Mirai Saru had no intention of a mutually destructive outcome, showing considerable restraint in his attacks.

Then, Mirai Saru spotted an opportunity: Ichigo Kurosaki’s speed had slowed, a consequence of his waning Bankai and a deliberate opening left by Ichigo Kurosaki!

Seizing the chance, Mirai Saru instantly struck at Ichigo Kurosaki’s undefended chest, a spray of crimson blood arcing through the air.

Ichigo Kurosaki, suppressing the intense pain, grabbed Mirai Saru’s blade with his left hand. To Mirai Saru’s astonishment, Ichigo Kurosaki unleashed his ultimate technique.

”Getsuga Tenshō!”

In this state, Ichigo Kurosaki’s Getsuga Tenshō was a black crescent, significantly more powerful than the usual white version.

If Mirai Saru, whose defenses weren’t particularly strong, were struck by this attack, he would be severely injured, if not killed outright.

At this critical juncture, Mirai Saru could no longer hold back, unleashing his Bankai.

”Bankai: Ma’on Hannya!”

Mirai Saru’s already grotesque grin deepened, tears of blood welling in his upturned eyes, an ancient-style crown appearing atop his head, his already blurred form becoming even more elusive.

With his Bankai activated, a powerful surge of black spiritual pressure erupted from him, and his speed increased dramatically.

Moving like a phantom, Mirai Saru seemingly vanished in place, effortlessly evading Ichigo Kurosaki’s deadly Getsuga Tenshō.

To onlookers, it appeared as though Ichigo Kurosaki’s black crescent blade had passed directly through Mirai Saru!

The expected spiritual pressure fluctuation from a successful Getsuga Tenshō was absent. Ichigo Kurosaki realized his plan had failed, the triumphant smile freezing on his face.

The Getsuga Tenshō had depleted Ichigo Kurosaki’s remaining spiritual energy, causing his Bankai to collapse. His black coat vanished, reverting to his standard Shinigami uniform.

Mirai Saru, however, showed no intention of ceasing his attack; his form vanished from Ichigo Kurosaki’s sight, his unsettling eyes flashing with lethal intent.

”Jigoku Zange - Second Style: Heart Extraction!”

His black sword, wreathed in a chilling dark energy, pierced towards Ichigo Kurosaki’s heart, aiming to rip it out.

In this life-or-death moment, Ichigo Kurosaki’s consciousness plunged into his inner world.

Through some unknown method employed by Zangetsu and White, the time flow within Ichigo Kurosaki’s inner world differed significantly from the outside world. To Ichigo Kurosaki, time outside appeared to have stopped.

Amidst countless skyscrapers suspended in the void, the abhorrent White appeared before him.

Looking at White, a perfect mirror image of himself but with an unsettling white hue, Ichigo Kurosaki stated coldly, ”You again. What do you want?”

White grinned, a disturbing sight. ”Ichigo, do you know that your death is imminent?”

Ichigo Kurosaki paused, remembering Mirai Saru’s disappearance after evading his attack.

If White was correct, Mirai Saru was likely launching a fatal attack.

”Lend me your power. If I’m not mistaken, if I die, you’ll likely perish as well,” Ichigo Kurosaki said to White.

The situation was dire, and despite his aversion to White, he couldn’t refuse his power.

Hearing Ichigo Kurosaki’s words, White laughed. ”Ichigo, a weakling like you, even with my power, cannot defeat your opponent! You have only one choice: release me, and I will deal with him!”

Ichigo Kurosaki replied coldly, ”I don’t trust you!”

White instantly appeared before Ichigo Kurosaki, his pale, unsettling face almost touching Ichigo Kurosaki’s.

His eyes radiated a dangerous light as he slowly spoke, ”Ichigo, while time flows slower here, the outside world isn’t completely frozen. Consider your options.”

With that, White vanished.

White knew Ichigo Kurosaki bore the responsibility of saving his companions. He wouldn’t risk his life in a gamble.

True to White’s assessment, Ichigo Kurosaki didn’t hesitate long. With no other choice, he relaxed his mind, surrendering control of his body to White.

Just as Mirai Saru’s sword was about to touch Ichigo Kurosaki’s back, Ichigo Kurosaki unleashed the same spiritual pressure as when he’d activated his Bankai. However, this time, the black spiritual pressure was infused with a crimson energy.

The surge of spiritual pressure prevented Mirai Saru from striking Ichigo Kurosaki, forcing him to retreat and create distance.

”Impossible. He should have exhausted his spiritual energy!”

Looking at the figure enveloped in black and crimson spiritual pressure, Mirai Saru was filled with doubt.
