Yusuke placed a hand on the mask, and the black mask slowly receded from his face, causing the unsettling oppressive feeling to immediately vanish. Everyone present felt the oppressive aura lift.

His gaze swept across the assembled Espada high command, finally settling on Kurotsuchi Mayuri. ”Hollowfication? Indeed, quite satisfactory.”

Yusuke’s tone was even, yet all present felt a chilling aura of power emanating from him. The Espada high command sensed a palpable shift in the power dynamic.

They knew his strength had increased to an unprecedented level; his power had undergone a quantum leap.

Resuming his gentle smile, Yusuke said, ”My apologies for the disruption. Unless you have further business, please depart. Kurotsuchi Mayuri, remain; I have something to discuss.”

Upon hearing Yusuke’s words, the Espada high command respectfully bowed and departed from the palace, leaving only Kurotsuchi Mayuri behind.

”Yusuke-sama, you haven’t assigned me another task, have you? I completed all your research assignments ahead of schedule and wanted to pursue my own projects,” Kurotsuchi Mayuri said with a smirk, a hint of playful annoyance in his tone.

As Kurotsuchi Mayuri stated, he had indeed exceeded expectations on all assigned research tasks. He was arguably Las Noches’ most indispensable asset, a crucial contributor to Yusuke’s operations.

”Those who can do more, do more. And this task, I believe, will interest you,” Yusuke said slowly, his voice calm but carrying an undercurrent of authority.

Kurotsuchi Mayuri chuckled, a slightly sardonic sound. ”Power corrupts. Yusuke-sama, please state your task.”

”Having mastered Hollowfication, the next step is integrating a perfected Hōgyoku. I possess a Hōgyoku made from Hollow souls; Aizen has one made from Shinigami souls. We need one made from Quincy souls.” ℴ

Yusuke paused for emphasis, allowing the implications of his words to sink in. He continued, ”My plan is to obtain the soul of history’s strongest Quincy within a century. At that time, will you be capable of creating such a Hōgyoku using their soul?”

Hearing Yusuke’s question, Kurotsuchi Mayuri’s face wrinkled in thought, a thoughtful frown creasing his brow. ”Yusuke-sama, you have a scientific background. You know creating a Hōgyoku isn’t simple. While we’ve created a Hōgyoku from Hollow souls, replacing them with Shinigami or Quincy souls doesn’t guarantee success. Many significant challenges remain to be overcome.”

Yusuke smiled. ”Then what support do you need?”

Kurotsuchi Mayuri grinned, a wide, excited expression spreading across his face. ”Sufficient Quincy subjects for experimentation. This will allow me to adequately prepare for the complexities of this undertaking.”

Yusuke nodded. ”Quincies? When the time is right, I will provide you with the most suitable experimental subjects.”

”That sounds most interesting. Honestly, I’ve long harbored a desire to research Quincy abilities!” Kurotsuchi Mayuri said, his eyes gleaming with unrestrained excitement.

After this meeting, Yusuke immediately returned to the Seireitei to begin the process of delegating his duties within the Fifth Division.

With his deployment to the Human World, his lieutenant, Yū, would assume full responsibility for the Fifth Division’s operations.

This was already the case for the majority of the division’s ongoing work; Yū was already effectively managing the Fifth Division’s affairs.

When the Fifth Division members learned that their captain was deploying to the Human World, many of them expressed their envy openly, revealing their curiosity about the Human World.

The Human World, to them, represented a strange and wondrous realm, a world vastly different from their own; the vast majority of Shinigami never had the opportunity to experience modern society firsthand.

Using a Senkaimon gate connected to the Human World via the Technical Development Bureau, Yusuke traversed the Dangai and arrived in Karakura Town, the gateway opening within an unoccupied residence.

This residence contained a secret room equipped with the Senkaimon gateway and numerous specialized devices installed by the Technical Development Bureau, giving the impression of a modern military command center.

Upon Yusuke’s arrival in Karakura Town, a Shinigami, clad in a Shinigami uniform and sporting a striking hairstyle, was already waiting for him.

This Shinigami, appearing to be approximately forty years old, possessed notably thick eyebrows, giving him a somewhat comical, middle-aged appearance.

”Captain Uchiha, I am Zennosuke Kurumadani of the Thirteenth Division, responsible for Karakura Town’s purification duties. I look forward to working with you in the future.”

Upon witnessing Yusuke emerge from the Senkaimon, Zennosuke Kurumadani immediately bowed respectfully, his greeting loud and clear.

Yusuke clapped Zennosuke Kurumadani on the shoulder, smiling warmly. ”Mr. Zennosuke, you’ve dedicated many years to guarding Karakura Town; your dedication is commendable. In terms of seniority within the Gotei 13, you are actually my senior.”

Even before Yusuke’s arrival in the Seireitei, Zennosuke Kurumadani had been stationed in Karakura Town for an extended period, serving as one of Captain Jūshirō Ukitake’s veteran Shinigami within the Thirteenth Division.

Seeing Yusuke’s approachable and respectful demeanor, Zennosuke Kurumadani relaxed, scratching the back of his head sheepishly. ”Senior or not, I simply joined the Gotei 13 a little earlier. But Captain Uchiha, despite your relatively recent arrival in the Seireitei, your accomplishments are legendary. You’re one of the captains I most admire.”

After a brief exchange of mutual compliments, Yusuke casually inquired about any potential sightings of Kisuke Urahara or Shiba Isshin.

As Yusuke anticipated, Zennosuke Kurumadani had no leads. Given their cautious nature and clandestine operations, it was highly unlikely that Kisuke Urahara and Shiba Isshin would be easily discovered by members of the Gotei 13.

Over the subsequent years, Yusuke, while discreetly monitoring the activities of Kisuke Urahara and Shiba Isshin in Karakura Town, occasionally intervened to assist Zennosuke Kurumadani in dealing with Hollows that preyed upon the souls of innocent humans.

By this time, Shiba Isshin had adopted the surname Kurosaki, becoming Kurosaki Isshin. In addition to Ichigo Kurosaki, who was steadily growing up, he and Masaki Kurosaki had subsequently had twin daughters: Karin Kurosaki and Yuzu Kurosaki.

During this period, the Kurosaki family enjoyed a life of happiness and harmony. Kurosaki Isshin, a former Shinigami, and Masaki Kurosaki, a former Quincy, had both relinquished their past identities, embracing a tranquil existence as ordinary humans.

However, this period of tranquility would not endure indefinitely. As Ichigo Kurosaki, a character destined for a pivotal role, matured, trouble would inevitably seek them out, drawn to their unique circumstances.

When Ichigo Kurosaki reached the age of nine, the most significant and devastating event to impact their family was about to transpire.
