Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 119: NZNT: Chapter 119

”Orochimaru’s Ice Release kekkei genkai is incredibly powerful, far exceeding the limits of ordinary ninjas. I need to tell Sensei immediately.”

Leaving Wave Country, Itachi was wary of Orochimaru’s power.

Izumi nodded, ”Indeed. But Brother’s gone to the ancient city of Rōran. He’s checking if the legendary Ryūmyaku can solve my Mangekyō Sharingan chakra depletion problem. I don’t know when he’ll be back.”

Over the past six years, Yusuke had tried many ways to solve the chakra depletion problem of the Mangekyō Sharingan, but none were satisfactory.

Using Hashirama cells was a viable option, as Obito used his Hashirama cells to use the Kamui without depletion.

Similarly, Danzō used Hashirama cells to transplant numerous Sharingan.

Hashirama cells’ powerful Yang Release chakra nourishes the Mangekyō Sharingan.

However, after numerous experiments, the Konoha Research Institute found Hashirama cells too powerful. Transplantation resulted in a grotesque transformation like Obito or Danzō. Yusuke wouldn’t use this method for Izumi.

Yusuke then considered using tailed beast Yang Release chakra or weakened Hashirama cells, but both failed.

Finally, Yusuke thought of Rōran’s Ryūmyaku chakra.

Ryūmyaku chakra possessed incredible restorative power. In the Naruto movie, Mukade, empowered by the Ryūmyaku, was virtually immortal.

Only when Sāra, the Rōran queen, severed the Ryūmyaku did Naruto and Minato have a chance to destroy his energy core.

Yusuke had taken leave from the Fourth Hokage and traveled to the desert west of the Land of Wind.

Standing amidst the sandstorm, Yusuke looked at the ruins of Rōran, sighing.

This prosperous city, flourishing for centuries, had fallen into ruin in just a few decades.

In the movie, Naruto, after three years of training with Jiraiya, pursued Mukade to the Rōran desert, twenty years after the Fourth Hokage sealed the Ryūmyaku.

When the Fourth Hokage visited Rōran, it was still prosperous.

Now, to escape war, Rōran had relocated, leaving behind the lost city.

Entering the ruins, Yusuke quickly found the Fourth Hokage’s seal.

”This is the seal for the Ryūmyaku? It uses space-time jutsu.”

”Minato was a genius with space-time ninjutsu. The Ryūmyaku’s power is almost limitless; ordinary seals couldn’t contain it. Using space-time sealing to redirect the overflowing energy was a brilliant idea.”

Seeing the space-time seal, Yusuke understood why Mukade and Naruto traveled to the past in the movie.

He slowly removed the chakra kunai from the seal’s core. As expected, a powerful spatial distortion appeared, disrupting the space-time around the seal.

After a spin, the scene changed.

The ruins vanished, replaced by a unique city.

”I’ve traveled to the past Rōran. I wonder what time period this is.”

Observing the intact towers and the people passing by, Yusuke realized this was the former Rōran.

Although called an ”ancient city,” the architecture had a technological feel. Most buildings were towers at least a hundred meters tall, connected by bridges. Robot-like guards flew in the sky. He admired Rōran’s craftsmanship.

The Naruto world, though not large, had many small countries with unique technologies.

Yusuke could still sense his Karasu clone, allowing him to use the ”Flame Walk Technique” to return to his time. The feeling of being in two different times was strange.

Yusuke’s goal was clear: find the current queen and the sealed Ryūmyaku.

Without knowing the queen’s location, he knew the tallest, most ornate tower would be hers.

Walking towards the tower, Yusuke admired the lost city.

His attire and demeanor drew attention. Many looked at him curiously.

”Stop! All outsiders must register. Come with us!”

Several men, clearly guards, stopped Yusuke.

Yusuke glanced at them; they instinctively took a step back.

Yusuke, Konoha’s Chief Advisor, Uchiha clan head, and head of the Military Police Force and Research Institute, naturally exuded an air of authority.

Though he suppressed his spiritual pressure, his presence intimidated ordinary people.

”This is Rōran’s rule. Please cooperate.”

The lead guard instinctively explained, something unheard of before.

”Then take me to your queen.”

Using genjutsu, Yusuke controlled the guards, leading him to the tallest tower.

With the guards leading the way, they encountered no further problems.

Along the way, Yusuke learned the current era from the guards.

The current queen was Sāra, the young queen Naruto met in the movie. Mukade, disguised as the regent, controlled Rōran.

”I’ve traveled to a few years before Naruto’s arrival. Mukade assassinated Sāra’s mother and began using the Ryūmyaku’s power.”

”Perfect. I can observe the Ryūmyaku chakra’s effects before dealing with him.”
