Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 102: NZNT: Chapter 102

Seeing that the overall situation of the Valley of Clouds and Lightning battlefield had turned in favor of Konoha, Ōnoki sighed inwardly, realizing he was too late.

He had just arrived and saw Yusuke, alone, using the ”Four Red Yang Formation,” which was rumored to require four Kage-level ninjas to perform. He was shocked by Yusuke’s strength and didn’t dare to show himself easily.

The Konoha ninjas were busy chasing after the retreating Kumogakure forces. Most of their attention was focused on the battle between Yusuke and Gyūki, so they didn’t notice the Iwagakure force that had just arrived.

After appearing, Ōnoki, the Tsuchikage, shouted to Yusuke, ”Chief Advisor of Konoha, I’m here only to deal with Kumogakure. I have no hostility towards Konoha!”

Ōnoki’s words were half-truths. It was indeed his original main goal to strike at Kumogakure.

But after discovering the threat hidden within Yusuke and the Uchiha clan he led, his true goal in coming here was to help Kumogakure against Konoha.

Looking at Yusuke, who was calmly holding the half-dead Killer Bee, Ōnoki felt as if he had seen another Uchiha Madara. But there was no other Senju Hashirama in this world!

After pondering for a long time, Ōnoki didn’t dare to make a move. An enemy who had killed the Fourth Raikage, captured the Eight-Tails jinchūriki alive, and still seemed to be at ease wasn’t someone he could handle alone!

Yusuke couldn’t tell if Ōnoki’s words were true or not.

But no matter what the enemy’s intentions were, he wasn’t afraid, especially since he still had some strength left.

Of course, it was better not to fight if possible. After all, his ninjas had just experienced a major battle, and most of them were exhausted. If they fought, it would be a lose-lose situation.

”Since Tsuchikage-sama wants to ’pay his respects’ to Kumogakure, and I also need to rest my troops, I won’t bother you any further!” After exchanging a few casual words with Ōnoki, Yusuke bid farewell to him.

Thus, the ”Valley of Clouds and Lightning Battle,” which was about to shock the ninja world, ended with Kumogakure’s disastrous defeat.

In this battle, the Fourth Raikage was killed on the spot. The Kumogakure Two-Tails jinchūriki, Yugito Nii, and the Eight-Tails jinchūriki, Killer Bee, were captured alive by Konoha.

After retreating to their base, Yusuke arranged for Itachi to rest his army. He took Killer Bee to his tent.

To prevent Killer Bee from escaping after waking up, Yusuke used a sealing jutsu to seal Killer Bee’s chakra.

”Summoning Jutsu: Shinigami!”

Yusuke formed hand seals and pressed them against the ground, summoning the Shinigami.

The summoned Shinigami looked a little dazed, as if it hadn’t quite reacted yet. But Yusuke didn’t notice this. He wouldn’t have imagined that he had made a big mistake summoning the Shinigami this time.

Seeing that the Shinigami’s size hadn’t recovered, Yusuke was slightly disappointed. It seemed that the Shinigami wouldn’t be able to regain its original power for a while.

He had summoned the Shinigami this time to try and see how long it would take to extract a tailed beast from a jinchūriki using the Shinigami.

He placed Killer Bee in the center of a pre-arranged sealing array and ordered the Shinigami to extract the tailed beast from Killer Bee’s body.

Receiving Yusuke’s order, the Shinigami extended an intangible claw from its abdomen and grabbed Killer Bee’s abdomen.

The arm connected to the claw acted like a conduit, continuously extracting the tailed beast chakra from Killer Bee’s body and transferring it into the Shinigami’s body.

The Shinigami clasped its two palms together, but they weren’t touching. A sphere of condensed tailed beast chakra floated between them.

As the tailed beast chakra was continuously extracted, the chakra contained in the sphere became stronger.

Looking at the sphere between the Shinigami’s palms, Yusuke frowned. The Shinigami was extracting the tailed beast chakra much slower than he had imagined.

At the current rate, it might take half a month to complete.

It was clear that this makeshift method was inferior to the professional tailed beast extraction technique.

He ordered the Shinigami to stop extracting the tailed beast. The tailed beast chakra that had been extracted into the sphere returned to Killer Bee’s body.

”I can only extract the tailed beast after the war is over. I should go to the eastern front where I’m facing Kirigakure and get the Three-Tails too!”

When he had captured the Two-Tails jinchūriki, Yugito Nii, Yusuke had already sent his Genya crow to the eastern front where he was facing Kirigakure. The Genya crow was much faster than a person traveling on the ground. He estimated that it would reach its destination in a day.

”Now that I have all the tailed beasts, I wonder how Akatsuki will revive the Ten-Tails. And how will Obito or Madara become the Ten-Tails jinchūriki?” Yusuke couldn’t help but find it amusing.

Half an hour before Yusuke summoned the Shinigami, the Third Hokage was still in a fierce battle against Obito, or rather, White Zetsu.

At this time, the lower half of the giant wooden statue summoned by White Zetsu was stuck in a giant swamp. It was the result of the Third Hokage’s powerful Earth Release, ”Doton.”

But although the ”Doton” restricted the wooden statue’s movement, it couldn’t restrict its attacks. The wooden statue was originally enormous, and its attack range was still very wide.

The Third Hokage, wielding the Adamantine Staff, was quickly moving towards White Zetsu, who was standing on top of the wooden statue, while dodging the attacks of the hundreds of palms on the wooden statue’s back.

”Adamantine Staff: split wind blade

The Third Hokage dodged while spinning the Adamantine Staff in his hand, releasing extremely sharp wind blades. He shattered the approaching wooden statue’s palms. But there were too many palms. Under this endless barrage of attacks, the Third Hokage couldn’t reach White Zetsu.

Seeing the dense forest of giant wooden statue palms, the Third Hokage quickly changed the shape of the Adamantine Staff to protect his body.

”Adamantine Staff: Prison Wall

A small square cage formed by sixty Adamantine Staff surrounded the Third Hokage. Countless wooden statue palms slammed into the cage, but they couldn’t break through its defense.

The Third Hokage was already feeling a lack of chakra and stamina. He was panting heavily, leaning against the cage.

”I’m really getting old, aren’t I?”

He had been on the defensive throughout the battle with the enemy.

Although he had injured the enemy several times, the enemy’s recovery ability was also very strong. His attacks didn’t seem to have done much damage to the enemy.

”If I continue fighting like this, not only will I be unable to subdue the enemy, but I’ll also run out of chakra and stamina!”

The Third Hokage’s expression was serious. He began to think of a counterstrategy.

Below the giant wooden statue, Yamato was being surrounded by White Zetsu’s Wood Release clones to protect Naruto, Sasuke, and Yuta. The situation was becoming very precarious.

If White Zetsu hadn’t wanted to capture Yamato alive, Yamato would have already been killed like the Anbu members the Third Hokage had brought to support him.

The situation was very serious. The Third Hokage didn’t have much time left.

”It seems like it’s time for me to sacrifice myself!”

With his mind made up, the Third Hokage couldn’t help but think of his one-year-old grandson, Konohamaru.

A slight smile appeared on his lips. He quickly formed a very complex hand seal.

”Reaper Death Seal (Shiki Fūjin)!”

As the Third Hokage completed the hand seal, a two-meter-tall, soul-like monster appeared behind him. It was the Shinigami.

Sensing the cold aura radiating from the Shinigami behind him, the Third Hokage didn’t think too much. He just felt that the Shinigami wasn’t as powerful as he had imagined.

He didn’t know that the Shinigami behind him was actually a shrunken version that had been severely injured by Yusuke.
