Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 106: NZNT: Chapter 106

For now, Yusuke had only temporarily sealed the two tailed beasts using sealing arrays. Every day, he had to reinforce these sealing arrays to ensure the seals remained stable and prevent the tailed beasts from escaping.

The power contained within the tailed beasts was too immense. Sealing arrays alone couldn’t seal them for long. Normally, tailed beasts needed to be sealed within a jinchuriki or a special sealing artifact, such as Sunagakure’s Shukaku’s jar.

Killer Bee and Yugito Nii, from whom the tailed beasts had been extracted, weren’t dead. They had their powers sealed and were imprisoned in Konoha’s Military Police Force prison.

Although a jinchuriki would die if their tailed beast was removed, this wasn’t always the case.

There were several special cases in the original story. For example, after Killer Bee’s Eight-Tails was extracted, the Eight-Tails left a tentacle’s worth of chakra, saving Killer Bee’s life.

Yusuke used the same method, leaving a bit of the tailed beast’s chakra within Killer Bee and Yugito Nii to sustain their lives.

After all, Yusuke wasn’t a murderer, and there was no need to kill prisoners he had already captured. However, given that Killer Bee and Yugito Nii were both quite strong, it wouldn’t be easy for Kumogakure to redeem them from Yusuke.

Now that the tailed beasts had been extracted, Yusuke placed a ”two Four Symbol Seal” on the back shoulders of Izumi, Itachi, and Kabuto.

Izumi and Kabuto received the ”Reverse two Four Symbol Seal,” which sealed the Yang Release chakra of the tailed beasts, while Itachi received the ”Positive Two Four Symbol Seal,” which sealed the Yin Release chakra.

The base material for the ”Positive Two Four Symbol Seal” was gradually refined cellular fusion liquid, while the base material for the ”Reverse two Four Symbol Seal” was two soul fragments that Yusuke had cut from the Shinigami’s body and condensed into ”Yin Release Chakra Crystals.”

Looking at his three disciples, who were already eager to try, Yusuke smiled and said, ”Later, I will seal the Yang Release and Yin Release chakra of Gyūki into Izumi and Itachi, respectively, and the Yin Release chakra of Matatabi into Kabuto.”

Considering the chakra levels of the tailed beasts, the Eight-Tails was clearly stronger than the Two-Tails. Yusuke, the partial teacher, planned to give the Yang Release chakra of the Eight-Tails to his sister, Izumi, while Kabuto, who also needed Yang Release chakra, passively received the Two-Tails.

However, Izumi wasn’t satisfied with Yusuke’s distribution, ”No, the Eight-Tails octopus bull is so ugly. The Two-Tails cat is much cuter!”

Itachi also nodded thoughtfully, ”Teacher, I’m also a cat person. If possible, I’d also like the Yang Release chakra of Matatabi.”

Looking at his two picky disciples, Yusuke shook his head helplessly. He hadn’t expected the powerful Eight-Tails, Gyūki, to be rejected for its looks.

But since they had made their choices, Yusuke didn’t force them. He redistributed the chakra according to their preferences.

”Kabuto is still the most obedient. My careful teaching wasn’t in vain,” Yusuke thought to himself.

Kabuto then timidly said, ”Teacher, actually, I don’t really like the Eight...”

Yusuke glared at him, and Kabuto immediately swallowed his words.

Patting Kabuto’s head, Yusuke nodded in satisfaction, ”Good, this is my good disciple!”

Yusuke then sealed Gyūki’s Yang Release chakra into Kabuto’s seal, and sealed Matatabi’s Yang Release and Yin Release chakra into Izumi and Itachi’s seals, respectively.

As for the remaining Yin Release chakra of the Eight-Tails, Yusuke kept it for himself. His seal, besides the Nine-Tails, now also contained another Eight-Tails, minus a tentacle and a horn.

After injecting the tailed beast chakra into the seals, Yusuke looked at his three disciples and smiled, ”How do you feel? You can try releasing the seal and getting familiar with the power of the tailed beast.”

The principle of the ”Two Four Symbol Seal” is completely different from the principle of sealing jinchuriki. Users cannot transform into a tailed beast or use their abilities. They can only extract the tailed beast’s chakra to strengthen their own abilities.

However, users of the seal wouldn’t face the risks and troubles associated with jinchuriki, such as being consumed by the tailed beast or being disturbed by the One-Tails like Gaara, who couldn’t sleep. The user is in complete control.

Itachi, Izumi, and Kabuto exchanged glances and simultaneously released the seals. The seals spread from the seal to their entire bodies. Three powerful chakra streams surged out of their bodies.

Looking at the three disciples’ unbelievable expressions as they controlled such a large amount of chakra for the first time, Yusuke smiled, ”The amount of chakra a tailed beast possesses far exceeds that of a human. For you, this chakra is just an aid. If you want to reach a higher level, you still have to rely on your own efforts.”

However, as he said this, Yusuke also knew very well that the upper limit in the Naruto world still relied on talent and external factors.

A person with average talent, no matter how hard they try, can only reach the Kage level at most. Of course, Yusuke didn’t include special external factors like the ”Eight Gates Formation.”

With the seals, the three disciples’ strength had undergone a qualitative leap. With the support of the Eight-Tails’ Yang Release chakra, Kabuto could absorb more natural energy. Senjutsu was easier to use, and its power was even stronger.

Itachi’s jutsu mostly combined genjutsu and dojutsu. With the support of the Two-Tails’ Yin Release chakra, his lack of chakra was completely made up for. With the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, there were few ninjas in the ninja world who could fight him.

Izumi, who specialized in kenjutsu, had improved in all aspects of her physical abilities with the support of the Two-Tails’ Yang Release chakra. At critical moments, combined with her Mangekyō Sharingan abilities, she was also difficult to defeat. As long as Yusuke solved her eye problem, her strength would improve even further.

Looking at his three grown-up disciples, Yusuke, as their teacher, was very proud.

Just then, Yusuke suddenly remembered the Hokage succession issue that had been bothering him lately.

”Right, Kabuto, you need to step up the treatment of the Fourth Hokage during this time. This is your most important task now!”

Because of Danzō and the Third Hokage’s deaths, and Yusuke’s prestige in the village had reached its peak. The two original Hokage advisors, Homura Mitokado and Koharu Utatane, gradually gave in and even offered to support Yusuke to become the Fifth Hokage. But Yusuke refused.

But even though Yusuke had temporarily refused to become the Fifth Hokage, if the village didn’t have a suitable candidate for a long time, he would eventually have to accept.

Therefore, Yusuke now pinned his hopes on Kabuto, hoping that he could quickly restore the Fourth Hokage to consciousness. Then, he could also breathe a sigh of relief.

Hearing Yusuke’s instructions, Kabuto nodded seriously, ”Teacher, don’t worry. I’ve now mastered the technique of incorporating senjutsu into medical ninjutsu. It will greatly improve the treatment of the Fourth Hokage.”
