Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 108: NZNT: Chapter 108

After being scolded by Kushina in his mind, Minato felt ashamed for having neglected his son, Naruto, while focusing on village matters.

Getting out of bed, Minato went to the Konoha Orphanage with Kakashi. Yusuke, who had other matters to discuss with them, accompanied them.

Although Minato had been bedridden for a long time, medical ninjas gave him muscle massages daily.

Therefore, Minato’s physical condition remained good. After a short recovery period, he could return to his peak strength.

”You were in a coma, and Naruto’s identity is sensitive. For safety reasons, the Third Hokage entrusted Naruto to the orphanage. However, the Third Hokage secretly arranged for someone to take care of Naruto, so you can rest assured about his well-being.”

While walking towards the orphanage, Kakashi explained Naruto’s situation to Minato.

Hearing Kakashi’s words, Minato and Kushina, within him, were relieved.

Yusuke, on the other hand, didn’t say much. Only he knew what kind of treatment Naruto would receive in Konoha if Minato had truly died.

Soon, the three arrived at the orphanage, but Naruto was nowhere to be found. He had obviously gone out to play.

”I think Naruto might be visiting the Uchiha compound.”

Yusuke recalled Naruto frequently appearing in the Uchiha compound. He had seen Naruto, Sasuke, and Yota training together in the Uchiha clan’s training grounds more than once.

The group then went to the Uchiha compound and found Naruto in a training ground, just as Yusuke had expected. Sasuke and Yota were also there.

Seeing Naruto’s cheerful and happy smile on the training ground, Minato and Kushina, within him, felt an indescribable emotion, unable to calm down for a long time.

After a while, Minato, having regained his composure, thanked Yusuke again.

Kakashi thought Minato was thanking Yusuke for letting Naruto play freely in the Uchiha compound. Yusuke, however, knew that Minato was thanking him for giving him and Kushina the chance to see Naruto smile.

Yusuke waved his hand, ”Fourth Hokage, if it weren’t for you and Kushina’s sacrifice, the village would have suffered immeasurable losses that night. This was nothing for me.”

”Now that you’re awake, shouldn’t you reunite with Naruto?”

Hearing Yusuke’s words, Minato smiled, ”Of course! But I haven’t fulfilled my responsibilities as a father these past few years. I’ll reunite with him after we become more familiar.”

The group watched the children for a while. Yusuke then said to Kakashi, ”Kakashi, do you remember mentioning the recovery of Obito’s Sharingan before the war?”

After Yusuke spoke, Minato frowned, unaware of this matter.

Kakashi nodded, saying solemnly, ”Advisor-sama, as the head of the Uchiha clan, I have no objections to recovering Obito’s Sharingan.”

”However, I hope you’ll tell me the real reason. Then I can rest easy. Otherwise, I can’t face my deceased friend.”

Yusuke’s expression turned serious, ”Since the Fourth Hokage is here, I can reveal more information.”

Yusuke then recounted Obito’s abilities and some of the incidents involving him, without revealing Obito’s identity.

Minato and Kakashi’s expressions grew increasingly grave as Yusuke spoke.

Minato himself had fought Obito on the night of the Nine-Tails attack and knew how troublesome this opponent, who possessed space-time ninjutsu, was.

”You mean Obito’s eyes can be used against this enemy?” Kakashi asked.

Yusuke nodded, ”Yes. Obito’s eyes possess a space-time dojutsu that can counter this enemy. However, without Uchiha bloodline, you’ll struggle to utilize its power.”

”If I have Obito’s Sharingan, I’m confident in defeating this enemy next time.”

”Also, Yamato is in this person’s hands. Intelligence suggests he’s using Yamato as a vessel for a certain jutsu. Defeating him increases the chances of rescuing Yamato.”

Hearing Yusuke’s explanation, Minato and Kakashi understood his actions.

This enemy, who possessed space-time ninjutsu, was indeed very troublesome. The Nine-Tails incident, Root’s attack on the Uchiha, and the Third Hokage’s recent death were all connected to him.

Defeating this enemy would be beneficial for Konoha.

”I understand. If using the eyes is to defeat Konoha’s enemy, Obito would agree! Please, Advisor-sama, arrange the surgery,” Kakashi sighed.

Taking his friend’s entrusted eyes was difficult, but he felt relieved.

He had reluctantly agreed to Yusuke’s request to recover Obito’s Sharingan using his authority as the Uchiha clan head.

Now, knowing the true purpose—for the village—resolved his inner conflict.

Seeing Kakashi’s relief, Yusuke guessed his thoughts.

I wonder how Kakashi will feel when he learns the enemy is Obito, Yusuke thought.

After bidding farewell to Minato and Kakashi, Yusuke went to his laboratory in the Research Institute.

Taking a scroll from a shelf, Yusuke began his research.

After the Third Hokage’s death, Yusuke temporarily took over as Hokage. He took this opportunity to find a treasure trove of forbidden jutsu from the Hokage’s office—the Scroll of Seals.

Yusuke hadn’t had time to properly study the forbidden jutsu in the Scroll of Seals due to his duties as acting Hokage and extracting the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails from the two jinchuriki.

The known forbidden jutsu in the Scroll of Seals included the Flying Thunder God Technique, Edo Tensei, Eight Gates Formation, and Multi-Shadow Clone Technique.

Besides these, Yusuke also found other useful jutsu, such as the Darkness Walking Technique and the Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tag.

After roughly browsing all the jutsu in the Scroll of Seals, Yusuke couldn’t help but exclaim,

”Tobirama Senju is truly the founder of ninja science. Even Orochimaru only stands on his shoulders to achieve his current level.”

Yusuke discovered that most of the jutsu in the Scroll of Seals were developed by the Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju, covering a wide range of areas. This shows Tobirama Senju’s understanding and mastery of ninjutsu.

Compared to Tobirama Senju, the Third Hokage, known as the ”Professor of Ninjutsu,” fell far short.

The Third Hokage had hardly developed any representative or particularly useful jutsu, merely combining common jutsu to create some more powerful composite jutsu.

In Yusuke’s opinion, the title ”Professor of Ninjutsu” was more suitable for Tobirama Senju.

After studying the Scroll of Seals for several days, Yusuke had mastered most of the jutsu. However, he couldn’t use some jutsu that required extremely high aptitude in a particular area.

For example, the Flying Thunder God Technique and its related expansion jutsu, such as the Flying Thunder God Second Stage and the Flying Thunder God Slash.

The Flying Thunder God-related jutsu required very high spatial aptitude, something Yusuke lacked.

”It seems there will be many new research topics for the institute in the next few years!”

Most of the forbidden jutsu in the Scroll of Seals were of high research value in Yusuke’s opinion. With the support of the entire Konoha Research Institute, Yusuke now had many ideas he wanted to realize.

In the Land of Snow, in a vast expanse of snow, two figures, one tall and one short, wearing black and red cloud cloaks, were slowly walking forward. They were Orochimaru and Sasori from Akatsuki.

”The monk you introduced last time seems to have pleased the leader. We’ve been given a long vacation,” Orochimaru’s hoarse voice echoed.

”Naturally. He is an expert in dealing with tailed beasts,” Sasori said calmly.

”But since we’re on vacation, why are you following me to the Land of Snow?”

”Consider it a vacation. But I won’t help you.”

Seeing the walls of the Land of Snow’s capital city in the distance, the two stopped.

”Just watch. I’m afraid you’ll be reckless.”

Orochimaru quickly formed hand seals and pressed his hands against the ground.

”Summoning Jutsu!”

Thousands of snakes appeared in the snow, varying greatly in size. The largest was Manda.

”Yusuke-kun, next time we meet, I wonder who will be stronger!”
