The Empress Wants a Divorce Every Day

Chapter 209: Chapter 209: Teaching Her to Ride (Bonus Chapter)

”Fifth Princess, now you know why that woman dares to be so arrogant and disregards everyone. It’s because the Prince favors her.”

”She really knows how to flaunt her favor. Oh dear, will we have to give way to her every time we see her in the future?”

Upon hearing this, the Fifth Princess was completely furious. As a princess of the Dayan Royal Family, her own mother was the Empress Dowager, and the Emperor was her brother. How could she give way to that ugly creature Feng Qing? On what grounds?

The Fifth Princess gritted her teeth and said fiercely, ”Hmph, I will never give way to that ugly creature.”

As she spoke, she swiftly mounted her horse and galloped straight towards the Hunting Ground, followed closely by guards who quickly mounted their horses to protect her.

Li Yunrui, Xia Yingfu, and others were also skilled riders, so they mounted their horses and followed suit.

The Fifth Princess was this angry, she must be going to settle accounts with Feng Qing, so they went along to watch the excitement.

The group headed directly to the Royal Hunting Ground.

Rong Ling and Feng Qing had no idea about this. At that moment, Feng Qing was absent-mindedly riding her horse. Although she appeared to be cautiously riding, inwardly she was terribly anxious. Rong Ling was constantly by her side, so how could she make it to the first mountain pass to implement her plan of feigned death?

Although anxious inside, Feng Qing showed no trace of it on her face. Ever since she learned that Rong Ling could discern her thoughts through her micro-expressions, she had been mindful not to display her intentions on her face or body.

Although Rong Ling learned micro-expression psychology from Feng Qing, he was not yet proficient, so many times he couldn’t discern anything from her face.

Laughing with pride, Feng Qing casually showed off to the side as she rode, ”Prince, what do you say? I am quite talented, aren’t I? Not bad at riding, right?”

Feng Qing’s ostentatious grin made Rong Ling smile and twitch his lips. Having just mounted and ridden a few steps, she was already so smug. Imagine how elated she would be when she truly learned to ride.

But this side of Feng Qing made him feel cheerful. As long as she wasn’t like a porcupine, pricking him now and then, he was willing to pamper her.

”Be careful, don’t get overconfident and fall. If you do, don’t think of riding again next time.”

Thinking of Feng Qing’s fall yesterday, Rong Ling’s face turned somewhat stern.

Feng Qing pouted and replied, ”Got it.”

When Rong Ling saw her being obedient, like a docile cat, his mood improved even more. His flawless face broke into a slight smile, and with that smile, he looked even more extraordinary, as if he were an ethereal being from beyond the world.

Feng Qing glanced at him several times, lamenting inwardly that such a handsome man was destined to be out of her reach. It was truly one of life’s great regrets.

As Feng Qing was reflecting, the sound of horse hooves arose in the distance, and several steeds galloped towards them. When they reached the front, the riders quickly dismounted. The leader respectfully saluted Rong Ling.

”Greetings, Prince Yong.”

Upon seeing the newcomers, the elegant and extraordinary demeanor of Rong Ling immediately turned cold, with a trace of hostility in his eyebrows.

”What is it?”

The newcomer quickly stood up and reported, ”To inform the Prince, the Emperor requests your presence. He intends to compete in a riding and archery contest with the Heir of Prince Su and several Imperial Family members who are not skilled in riding and shooting on the outskirts. The Emperor asks you to serve as a judge.”
