Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

At the same time, the omnipresent flames considerably hindered Yu Bao’s positioning. He could no longer use Desert Concealment as he pleased.

Seeing that Yu Bao’s condition was indeed developing as predicted, Xuan Huang’s tense gaze relaxed slightly.

’As long as the two most difficult threats are eliminated, everything will be fine...’

”WHOOSH!”

Before Xuan Huang could finish his thought, rolling dust and sand suddenly gathered within the fiery battlefield, swirling into the shape of a round shield that came whistling toward him.

The buff from Thick Earth Blessing made the Quicksand Shield emit a faint Golden Light, making it appear solid and powerful. This shield should have been a Defense Skill, but at this moment, it presented an offensive threat.

Under Yu Bao’s control, it decisively broke through the combined blockade of the Giant Fire Pillar and Fireball Technique, flying straight for Xuan Huang!

Xuan Huang’s heart jumped in alarm, and he hurriedly dodged.

This strange, large shield was a Skill he had never heard of. ’But judging by its form, it looks a bit like... a Hao Waterfowl’s Flowing Shield?’

’Could it be that Yu Bao is a duck?’

The attack didn’t hit Xuan Huang because of its slower speed. Even so, Xuan Huang was still shaken. Whether Yu Bao was a duck or not, he sensed the gravity of the situation.

He had originally thought Yu Bao’s strength lay in delicate control. He never expected him to also have such a powerful and heavy Skill!

With this, his meticulously arranged flame blockade was completely undone. Yu Bao could easily break through with this single move. Such a trump card was truly beyond Xuan Huang’s expectations.

’But stay calm. It should be fine.’

’A Skill like that must be harder to control. The wind-up and recovery must be significant, making it difficult to immediately follow up with other Skills...’

Tuoba Jing’s voice suddenly came from the Beast Taming Space: ”Xuan Huang, watch your back!”

Xuan Huang was startled. He subconsciously turned around, only to be met with a Furious Sand Blade coming straight for his face.

”SWOOSH! SWOOSH!”

This time, the Furious Sand Blade struck Xuan Huang’s body.

Xuan Huang faltered for a moment. The Flame Battle Armor on his body flickered—a situation that only occurred when an attack was too strong for the Yanhuang Blessing to completely negate.

Although he had braced himself, the impact of the blow was still beyond his expectations.

Unlike the previous Furious Sand Blade and its variations, this attack had been converted from the Quicksand Shield. It had a plentiful amount of sand and was exceptionally dense, clearly designed to counter the flame defense of the Yanhuang Blessing.

The activating effect of the Thick Earth Blessing further increased the energy required to melt the Furious Sand Blade. With these two effects combined, it successfully broke through the Yanhuang Blessing’s defense.

”Arf!” A glint of excitement flashed in Yu Bao’s eyes.

His last battle with Lala had left a deep impression on him. That Flame Battle Armor, which was like some kind of cheat, melted all of his Skills the moment they got close, which had thoroughly frustrated him.

If he hadn’t accidentally disabled Lala’s ”cheat” in that match, it was hard to say who would have won.

Afterward, Yu Bao had been constantly pondering, ’How do I break through defenses?’

After trying various approaches, he finally determined the optimal solution he could currently achieve: increase the density of the Earth Element entities in his Skills and activate them with Thick Earth Blessing.

And today, facing a similar situation, the move had finally worked!!

”Grrrr...” Xuan Huang stared intently at Yu Bao.

”You’re right,” came Tuoba Jing’s voice from the Beast Taming Space. ”The opponent is constantly adjusting their Skills and tactics based on our performance, and they clearly have the ability to do so. The longer this drags on, the more disadvantageous it is for us.”

”So, let’s end this quickly! We’ll settle this with the next move!”

Xuan Huang nodded. The Golden Light and Flame that had been radiating outward began to converge. At the same time, his brown eyes, like red-hot branding irons, began to emit a faint but scorching red light.

Xuan Huang opened his mouth slightly, his sharp fangs already coated in a dense golden hue. Flame flowed between his teeth, making him look even more imposing.

Yu Dian Farm Dog Racial Skill, an Earth and Fire Element High Level Elite Skill, Earth-Splitting Flame-Piercing Fang!

”Yu Bao, it’s coming!” Su Zhi shouted, having also sensed the opponent’s intent. ”Get ready! The next attack will be the decisive, final blow!”

”Arf!”

Yu Bao also prepared for the final showdown. Immense clouds of dust and sand floated and gathered around him, forming a giant Furious Sand Blade that positioned itself before him.

Due to structural issues, the Furious Sand Blade couldn’t maintain an overly large form on its own.

What Yu Bao did now was the same as during the city league finals: he became part of the Furious Sand Blade, using his own body as the edge to support the massive Sand Battle Saber!

”SHIIING—”

The two rushed toward each other.

They clashed, bit, and separated.

There was no grand, earth-shaking scene. Even the decisive blow was clean and simple, just like the inherent style of a Yu Dian Dog.

”CRACK!”

After a moment of stillness, the Furious Sand Blade in front of Yu Bao could no longer hold its form. It cracked and crumbled into dust, which soon scattered with the wind.

Yu Bao looked back.

Xuan Huang stood still for a moment, then began to tremble, the shaking growing more and more violent. Finally, his legs gave way, and he collapsed to the ground with a thud.

”Whine...” Xuan Huang looked at Yu Bao, unwilling to accept defeat.

”Xuan Huang used up all his Energy to meet Yu Bao’s attack. He has no strength left to fight.”

Tuoba Jing walked up to Su Zhi and said with a smile, ”Congratulations, Su Zhi. Your skill proved superior, and you’ve claimed victory.”

Su Zhi cupped his fists in return. ”Not at all. Our strengths were evenly matched; either one of us could have won. Yu Bao is at his limit, too...”

”Aaarooo—”

Before he could finish, Yu Bao flopped onto the ground, his tongue hanging out as he panted heavily.

’I finally won, but I’m dead tired. Even fighting Jin Lin in the team tournament finals wasn’t this exhausting!’
