Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

After confirming that Yu Bao and Shan Bao were mostly fine, Su Zhi breathed a small sigh of relief.

The destructive power of a magnitude 7 earthquake was terrifying, but thankfully, his Treasures were no pushovers.

Shan Bao was the ultimate tank; this level of intensity was just a warm-up for her.

Yu Bao wasn’t as durable, but with an Overlord Skill like Thick Earth Blessing, withstanding an earthquake was still no problem.

And there was no need to even mention Wu Bao. Its Perfect Block was practically a cheat code.

’Which means the biggest weakling here is me...’

”Woof?” ”Chirp?”

Yu Bao and Shan Bao both turned their concerned gazes toward the weakling Beast Tamer.

”It’s nothing, I’m okay too. My butt just hurts a little from being knocked around...” Su Zhi’s mouth twitched.

’A human’s constitution is no match for a Pet Beast’s...’ But still, he was a Tier Four Beast Tamer, a cut above ordinary people. Coupled with the thorough protection from Yu Bao’s Yellow Earth Wall, Su Zhi checked himself over and found he was basically uninjured.

And just to clarify, he meant his butt hurt from being knocked against rocks. Please don’t let your imagination run wild.

”By the way, where’s Wu Bao?”

”Chirp.”

”Oh, right. In your Flash Gold Flash Space...”

On a sudden whim, Su Zhi tried to recall Shan Bao into his Beast Taming Space.

Seeing the pale blue Beast Taming Light Array, Su Zhi looked disappointed and summoned Shan Bao back out.

”Chirp?”

”It’s nothing.”

’Nothing my ass...’ Su Zhi was already cursing up a storm in his head.

’Brother Yan, what are you scared of? Don’t pity me just because I’m some delicate flower! You should be ruthlessly ravaging me!’

The potential promotion to a Tier Five Space had just gone down the drain. Anyone would be going crazy.

’Ah, forget it... Promotions have always been a matter of metaphysics. Rushing it won’t help...’

BEEP BEEP BEEP.

His phone suddenly rang.

Su Zhi froze for a moment, then struggled to dig out his phone.

When he saw the caller ID was Shao Ya, with a notification that this was her tenth call, Su Zhi’s heart jolted. He answered immediately.

”Hello?”

”Su... Su Baby?”

Su Zhi tried his best to make his voice sound calm. ”It’s me. You... you’re in Hundred Rivers?”

The other end of the line was silent for a moment.

Then, a faint sob was heard, which soon turned into tears of joyful relief.

”You... you’re okay! Thank goodness! You’re okay...”

”Yeah, I’m okay.”

Su Zhi took a deep breath. ”I’m sorry. I made you worry again...”

”Stop!”

The young woman cut him off.

A moment later, Shao Ya’s voice softened. ”I don’t want to hear an apology... You being safe and sound is more important than anything.”

A sharp pang hit Su Zhi’s nose, and he felt his eyes unconsciously welling up.

”I promise, I’ll take good care of myself so you won’t have to worry.”

”If you dare break your promise, I’ll... I’ll bite you to death...”

The young woman tried to sound threatening, but her tone only grew softer. Just from her voice, he could picture her with tears in her eyes, overjoyed but still trying to wrinkle her nose and pout to look fierce.

Su Zhi, not knowing whether to laugh or cry, replied, ”Well, I’ll do my best.”

’If I can’t keep it, I’ll just have to obediently accept the punishment.’

Shao Ya: ”You’re near Fuguang Lake, right?”

Su Zhi: ”I think so. We’re buried under rubble of an unknown depth right now, and we have no idea what the situation is outside.”

Shao Ya: ”Just hang on a little longer! Try not to move or talk. Captain Sai and I are on our way! We’ll be there soon!”

After saying that, the young woman fell silent but didn’t hang up.

Su Zhi chuckled softly and set the phone aside. He really wanted to say it wasn’t a big deal; for Yu Bao, a master of the Earth Force Field, escaping a place like this was hardly a difficult task.

Besides, he still had Wu Bao and Shan Bao, each one a heavyweight contender.

”Yu Bao, step up!”

”Woof.”

Yu Bao indicated that he wanted his points added first.

”Huh? There are new Points already?” Su Zhi blinked in surprise.

After thinking back for a moment, he remembered these Points had appeared the instant Yu Bao tried to control the Golden Sand Flower. They were a one-time ”Enlightenment Type” bonus.

’Could it be because Yu Bao’s Perception and control over Gold Element Energy reached a new stage... or did it directly awaken the Gold Attribute?’

’As expected of Yu Bao, he truly has the makings of a Great Emperor!’

At this thought, Su Zhi couldn’t wait to see what Yu Bao would be like after this settled, and the rhythm of his hands unconsciously quickened, making Master Yu repeatedly call for a stop.

[Pet Beast: Yu Bao (Yu Dian Farm Dog)

Intelligence: 3.39 -> 3.60

Constitution: 1.42

[Real-time Energy Value: 5700]

”Woof...”

Yu Bao shook his dizzy head. ’This Beast Tamer has no Martial Virtue, actually using the point allocation to get some petty revenge...’

Su Zhi innocently clasped his hands, looking as if he hadn’t a single bad thought in his head.

”So, Yu Bao, how are you feeling now?”

Yu Bao nodded thoughtfully.

It was completely different. If he had to make a comparison, he felt like a proper Gold Dual Attribute Pet Beast now!

”Chirp?” The real Gold Dual Attribute Pet Beast, Shan Bao, tilted its head curiously.

’Does that mean big brother Yu Bao is going to become a free-range chicken too?’

Shan Bao then imagined a Yu Bao with the body of a bird and the head of a dog, and felt its entire worldview being shaken.

Su Zhi clasped his hands. ”Elaborate?”

”Woof!”

Before the sound of its bark faded, Yu Bao’s body was instantly covered in a thick Golden Light—Thick Earth Blessing.

The narrow space within the ruins was instantly filled by the dazzlingly bright light, which almost felt like it was about to overflow.

Receiving Shan Bao’s feedback, Su Zhi looked at Yu Bao in surprise. ”You awakened... an Earth And Gold Dual Attribute Thick Earth Blessing?”

”Woof!” Yu Bao corrected him—it was Thick Earth Golden Might!

’As I thought, no matter how much he evolves, that chuuni soul will never change...’ Su Zhi’s mouth twitched, but at the same time, he couldn’t stop a hint of a smile from appearing in his eyes.
