Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

H-hello...

”ROAR!”

After less than a second of silence, the Earth-necked Dragon stretched its terrifyingly long neck and lunged, snapping at Yu Bao in the sky.

Yu Bao manipulated its Suspended Sand and Flying Fire to barely evade.

The Earth-necked Dragon looked incredibly clumsy, but everything above its neck was absurdly nimble. The pressure it put on Yu Bao was no less than any highly mobile Pet Beast!

”Create some distance! Don’t get caught up in a direct fight!” Su Zhi commanded just in time.

Yu Bao flew out of the Earth-necked Dragon’s attack range, giving it no further chance to strike.

But a green light shone from the Earth-necked Dragon’s mouth, and a wave of white air blasted toward the Pet Beasts in the sky.

A High Level Extraordinary Wind Element Skill, Wind Blade!

Only then did Yu Bao realize that despite its massive size, the Earth-necked Dragon also had the Wind Element!

”SWOOSH SWOOSH SWOOSH”

A dense barrage of Wind Blades zipped past Yu Bao. All it could do was dodge, completely unable to mount a counterattack.

The other aerial Pet Beasts weren’t faring any better. A Cyan Feathered Falcon was struck directly on its left wing and had to stumble away from the battlefield to recover.

These were Wind Blades from a Two-star Exotic Beast. Their power, density, and duration far surpassed those of any Wind Element Pet Beast Yu Bao had ever faced.

Yu Bao was being completely suppressed.

The fact that it hadn’t been hit yet was already quite an achievement.

The one in the worst state was Diya. It had tried to be clever and bait out the dragon’s center of gravity with its positioning, but now it could only keep moving under the Earth-necked Dragon’s body. It didn’t dare come out—the moment it did, it would get hit.

”Have you figured out how to fight it yet?” Peng Kai asked, looking at Su Zhi with a smile.

”As long as the Earth-necked Dragon falls, everything will be fine.”

Su Zhi said, then shook his head. ”Just knocking it down isn’t enough... We need to strike its weak spot. Like catching a snake.”

Peng Kai nodded in approval.

”But that’s not realistic...” Su Zhi frowned again. ”Mainly, making it fall is unrealistic. It has... far too many legs. Even if Yu Bao used its Earth Force Field to reshape the terrain, the dragon could quickly readjust its center of gravity.”

Peng Kai sighed. ”That’s precisely what makes this battle so difficult.”

”RUSTLE RUSTLE”

As they spoke, the surrounding grass suddenly rustled.

Then, the bushes were crushed to either side as a giant, gleaming black Unihorn Ant shot out with a WHOOSH!

[Pet Beast: Black Fighting Emperor (Mark: Wu Bao)

Attribute: Wood Element, Fighting Element

Race: Middle Elite

Real-time Energy Value: 2012]

Su Zhi’s eyes lit up with pleasant surprise. ”Wu Bao?”

He hadn’t seen it in a while, and Wu Bao had actually broken through to One-star!

”Wuu!” Wu Bao also used its middle leg to give Su Zhi a thumbs-up.

’Don’t you worry, your unofficial second Pet Beast is here!’

The other Alliance Members were a bit confused.

’Su Zhi doesn’t have a Tier Three Beast Taming Space yet, right? So who does this Black Fighting Emperor belong to?’

”ROAR!”

Seeing another reckless fool appear, the Earth-necked Dragon roared and diverted some of its Wind Blades to attack downward.

The Wind Blades struck Wu Bao’s carapace, but only produced a series of sharp CLINK CLINK CLINK sounds, not harming it in the slightest.

The moment before the Wind Blades hit, Wu Bao’s carapace suddenly turned a gleaming, jet-black. It was a Perfect Block!

”Wuu!”

As the Wind Blades subsided, Wu Bao brandished its horn, pointing it at the nearby Earth-necked Dragon.

’Are you done with your attack?’

’Now it’s my turn. No objections, right?!’

The whistling of the wind died down. Wu Bao planted its four feet on the ground and charged swiftly toward the Earth-necked Dragon.

Yu Bao quickly retracted the Earth Force Field. Wu Bao had the Wood Element, and it would be a real mess if it got burned by its own sworn brother.

Wu Bao’s attack successfully diverted the Earth-necked Dragon’s attention, giving the aerial Pet Beasts a chance to catch their breath.

Yu Bao seized this golden opportunity. It empowered a Furious Sand Blade with Thick Earth Blessing and struck down at the Earth-necked Dragon with unstoppable momentum!

This was Yu Bao’s current strongest single-target move. No one who’d been hit by it had left a bad review.

However, the Earth-necked Dragon twisted its neck and nimbly dodged the blow.

The missed Furious Sand Blade sliced backward across the Earth-necked Dragon’s broad back. While it did send a huge spray of blood flying, the wound only looked terrifying; it hadn’t caused any real damage to muscle or bone.

At that moment, Su Zhi became even more certain of his tactics: what couldn’t be taken down by a Strong Attack could only be defeated with control, following Peng Kai’s line of thought.

”Wuu!”

Wu Bao rushed in front of the Earth-necked Dragon, its massive horn enveloped in a faint layer of white air, and rammed toward the beast with unstoppable force.

The Earth-necked Dragon was no fool. It didn’t take Wu Bao’s charge head-on. Instead, it lifted a leg to sidestep, then quickly brought it down after Wu Bao had lunged forward, stomping firmly on its horn.

Su Zhi’s heart leaped into his throat. ”Wu Bao!”

However, the one that stumbled unsteadily was the Earth-necked Dragon.

With its strength alone, Wu Bao managed to pry up the Earth-necked Dragon’s massive, mountain-like body.

”Wuu!”

Wu Bao heaved upward violently.

’So you’re the one they call the damn Earth-necked Dragon, huh?!’

The Earth-necked Dragon promptly pulled back its front leg, giving Wu Bao no chance to exert more force. At the same time, it whipped its long, lash-like neck around, striking Wu Bao heavily.

Although Wu Bao’s hide was thick and it wasn’t injured, the blow still managed to knock it back, creating distance between them.

”What a shame!”

Su Zhi and Peng Kai sighed in unison.

Peng Kai shook his head. ”If the Earth-necked Dragon had been a bit more stubborn, your Black Fighting Emperor would have already flipped it over. You might have even won.”

”Wuu~” Wu Bao was feeling pretty smug.

’That red-haired guy just said ”your Black Fighting Emperor”.’

’Hehe.’

”A real shame, indeed.”

Su Zhi agreed with a sigh, but then his eyes lit up. ”But at least this shows that the Earth-necked Dragon is wary of Wu Bao. If we can get Wu Bao to flip the Earth-necked Dragon... we might just be able to win this!”

”That’s a tall order. The Earth-necked Dragon is quite cautious. You didn’t succeed the first time, so what’s the chance of success if you attack again with the same trick?”

”That’s true...”

The two of them looked at the Pet Beasts still struggling against the Earth-necked Dragon in the distance, pondering their next move.
