Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

Yu Bao was thrown high into the air, left without a foothold.

Xue Li planted her feet, spread her wings, and a light blue, ring-shaped Energy Light Array lit up beneath her.

”Quack!”

’Die!’

WHOOSH!

A towering column of water surged from the Light Array, spiraling toward the airborne Yu Bao.

Water Element High Level Extraordinary Skill: Spring Bursting Impact!

But Yu Bao neither struggled nor tried to dodge. He let the column of water come at him, seemingly waiting for an opportunity.

”Yu Bao, now!”

”WOOF!”

The moment the water column drew near, a pale yellow Energy Light Array appeared beneath Yu Bao’s paws.

A massive Yellow Earth Wall shot out, caught by the rising column of water. Yu Bao stood upon the platform it created, completely unharmed.

The entire audience was dumbfounded. A few who were recording didn’t even notice that water damage had shut down their phones.

’You can use Yellow Earth Wall like that?!’

With a foothold secured, Yu Bao managed to activate Desert Concealment and flash back to the ground before the next attack arrived.

The instant he vanished, another powerful current arrived close behind, smashing the Yellow Earth Wall to dust.

That was the most common Water Element Output Skill—the High Level Extraordinary Skill, High-pressure Water Gun!

SWISH—

Yu Bao emerged from his Desert Concealment state, rolling as he landed.

Another blast from High-pressure Water Gun grazed past him. Yu Bao could even hear the faint whistle of the water cutting through the air.

Yu Bao dodged the attack, smoothly rising to his feet and locking onto Xue Li in the distance.

Sand and dust converged—Furious Sand Blade!

SPLASH—

This time, Xue Li chose not to dodge, instead conjuring a Flowing Shield to defend herself.

The rapidly vibrating Furious Sand Blade constantly kicked up spray from the shield’s surface, as the current relentlessly weakened its offensive.

Su Zhi’s expression turned grave.

Yu Bao’s Furious Sand Blade was already at Tier Two. A Tier One Defense Skill would be powerless against it, and even most Tier Two Defense Skills would have a hard time.

’Looks like Xue Li’s Flowing Shield has reached Tier Two as well!’

”Quack!”

With a stomp of her foot, Xue Li sent the Flowing Shield, still pressing against the Furious Sand Blade, flying back toward Yu Bao.

Not to be outdone, Yu Bao gathered quicksand into a shield and sent it flying toward Xue Li.

BOOM!

Sand and water collided in the center of the ring, splattering drops of mud in all directions.

”INCREDIBLE!!!”

Cries of amazement rang out from the audience. Many had already recorded it and were posting it to their social media feeds.

’I just came to watch some drama during the class break. I never thought it’d be this exciting! Totally worth it!’

’What Skills does that Yu Dian Dog even have? Who knows.’

’That’s what makes it so damn exciting—we have no idea what’s going on!’

”Quack!”

They had only just reached a stalemate when Xue Li raised her wings, and White Mist once again enveloped the entire field.

This time, Xue Li didn’t use a high-powered skill like Towering Waves. Instead, she darted about, firing off shots with High-pressure Water Gun.

A shallow current formed around Xue Li’s webbed feet, allowing her to glide about with agility.

This wasn’t a Skill, but an instinct developed by the Hao Waterfowl for survival. By controlling water currents to muffle the sound of their movement, they can silently approach prey or flee from predators.

All Yu Bao could do was dodge, unable to pinpoint Xue Li’s position from the trajectory of the attacks.

This was giving Su Zhi a major headache.

’Yu Bao struggled against White Mist back when he fought Cotton, and even now, I still haven’t figured out a good way to counter it.’

’This Skill naturally neutralizes Earth Force Field, obstructs vision, and even boosts the power of Water Element moves.’

’Plus, many of Xue Li’s moves are just unreasonably powerful Output Skills. You could say she’s Yu Bao’s natural counter.’

’Last time, Xue Li had used Towering Waves, which disturbed the mist and gave Yu Bao an opening to fight to a stalemate.’

’This time, Xue Li’s learned her lesson. She’s maintaining the mist while constantly whittling down Yu Bao’s stamina with High-pressure Water Gun.’

’Both of them have excellent Energy reserves, but given the Attribute Suppression, if this turns into a battle of attrition, Xue Li is guaranteed to win!’

’What to do?’

Su Zhi stared into the hazy mist, his mind racing as he recalled past matches he had watched.

’The biggest problem with White Mist isn’t how it weakens Earth Element Skills... it’s the unequal playing field when it comes to vision.’

’Because of the White Mist, I can’t see a thing.’

’Xue Li can’t really see Yu Bao either, but the White Mist has a sensory ability similar to Earth Force Field, so...’

’Huh? Wait a second...’

”Yu Bao, I’ve got it!”

”Woof?”

·

”Quack?”

As she zipped around, Xue Li tilted her head in confusion.

’Based on what I just felt... did Yu Bao activate Desert Concealment?’

’But what’s the point? As long as he’s inside my White Mist, I’ll be able to sense him.’

’Besides, using Earth Element Skills in a damp environment is even more draining.’

SWOOSH!

As she was lost in thought, a powerful Furious Sand Blade pierced through the mist, whistling as it came.

Xue Li hurriedly manipulated the current beneath her feet and narrowly avoided it.

”Quack!”

’You’re unbelievable, you little sneak!’

Xue Li puffed out her chest in a huff.

But there was no response from Yu Bao within the mist.

RUMBLE—

The sound of rock walls sprouting came from the other side of the mist. Through her White Mist senses, it seemed Yu Bao had summoned countless Yellow Earth Walls, as if preparing for an all-out confrontation.

’So you really want to play the sneak, huh?’

Subconsciously recalling that irritating grin that made her so mad, Xue Li’s expression hardened, and she began to glide even faster.

Simultaneously, she fired her High-pressure Water Gun at Yu Bao with increasing frequency.

’Yellow Earth Walls are stationary, but you’re not! Don’t think you can fool me with such a clumsy trick!’

CRACK— CRACK—

Under Xue Li’s attacks, the Yellow Earth Walls shattered one after another.

Yu Bao scrambled to evade while constantly firing back with Furious Sand Blade.

However, Xue Li maintained her high-speed gliding, making it impossible for Yu Bao to land a hit by just countering along the attack’s trajectory.

”Quack!”

’The dumb puppy’s counterattacks are getting unusually fierce!’

”Hold steady! This is a pointless waste of energy for them. Just endure, and you’ll win!”

”Quack!”

Though slightly fatigued, Xue Li’s spirits rallied.

She had waited far too long for this battle!

More and more Yellow Earth Walls sprung up, some even appearing directly in her path.

However, for Xue Li, who had gone through hellish training, all of Yu Bao’s tricks seemed feeble and useless.

One by one, the Yellow Earth Walls crumbled, and Yu Bao’s evasions grew slower and less efficient.

Finally, after firing a Furious Sand Blade, Yu Bao briefly paused, seemingly at his physical limit.

After fighting for so long, Xue Li had actually reached her physical limit as well. But her senior had taught her—

’Even when exhausted, you must make your opponent believe you can fight forever!’

”Quack!”

Xue Li dismissed the current under her feet and threw herself at Yu Bao, unleashing High-pressure Water Gun at extremely close range.

This was her final blow!

Three Yellow Earth Walls rose up in succession before Yu Bao, as if in a final, desperate struggle.

However, before the surging torrent, the Yellow Earth Walls were useless. They were all pierced in a single blast!

Yu Bao, cowering behind the Yellow Earth Walls, had no room to dodge and shattered on the spot!

”Quack?!” Xue Li was shocked.

Hearing the faint sound of frantic paws behind her, Xue Li whipped around. The sight that met her eyes was an attacking dog’s face...

BAM!
