Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

Upon receiving the latest information from Yu Bao, Su Zhi acted decisively:

”Don’t hesitate! Use Yellow Earth Wall to interrupt it!”

”Woof!” (Understood!)

SWISH SWISH SWISH—

A pale yellow Energy Light Array instantly appeared around the ring, and tall Yellow Earth Walls emerged one after another, completely surrounding it.

But the moment the Yellow Earth Walls extended, the once-calm air suddenly burst into violent flames. Even the non-flammable Yellow Earth Walls were more than half-destroyed by the fire.

——Nether Flame Spirit Racial Skill, a Fire and Telekinesis Element Low Level Elite Skill, Dark Flame Strangulation!

The Nether Flame Spirit’s fire was very special. When it burned, it was as still as water, yet possessed an extremely high temperature and combustion power.

Under the Nether Flame Spirit’s conscious control, these flames would be ”sealed away” in a special form.

They would lose their heat and become invisible to the naked eye, only to instantly erupt in flames upon contact with other objects.

The Nether Flame Spirit was famous for its elusiveness, precisely because of this move.

You never knew where it had set its dark flames; your own Pet Beast might just inexplicably catch fire.

The audience below cheered endlessly. The ring was shrouded in ruins, and the purplish-red flames blazed, looking especially impressive.

Peng Kai was stunned.

’How did this boy see through the trap I laid?’

Stunned as he was, Peng Kai didn’t hesitate to order Diya to commence a Strong Attack.

The most important ability on the battlefield is to remain calm and think clearly even when your opponent does something unexpected.

However, just as the Nether Flame Spirit began to move, Yu Bao’s Sandstorm had already struck first!

BOOM!

The raging sandstorm engulfed half the ring, completely shattering the Yellow Earth Walls that encircled it.

While the wild sands were still howling, the Nether Flame Spirit had already torn through the Iron Curtain of Sand, charging forward unstoppably.

No holding back, no concessions; both sides opened with killing moves!

”That’s Nether Flame Spike! Aaaah, I can’t believe I’m seeing it live!”

”That kid’s Yu Dian Dog is amazing too! It actually saw through the Beast King’s first wave of attacks! If it were me up there, I’d have been instantly defeated!”

”Give me a break. If you fought that kid, you’d be the one getting instantly defeated...”

Flames flickered on the ring, and the audience below couldn’t get enough of the thrilling sight.

As expected of Peng Kai. Even a Pet Beast he just contracted two weeks ago could perform at this level!

While marveling at Peng Kai, everyone was also filled with admiration for Su Zhi.

Everyone knew the Beast King was getting serious. Nether Flame Spike was famous for its speed, its attacks as dense as rain. There was no way Yu Bao could withstand this barrage.

But to have made it this far, the kid was already remarkably accomplished for his age. Even if he los—

Huh? It looks like he hasn’t lost yet?!

”What?!”

Seeing Yu Bao skillfully use Desert Concealment to evade Diya’s attacks, Peng Kai was both shocked and delighted.

The shocking part was that a Yu Dian Dog could actually master a skill belonging to a Desert Pet Beast, and even reach Tier Two Skill Level.

The delightful part was that Peng Kai clearly sensed that Desert Concealment and the previous few skills all belonged to that unfamiliar system.

’This student hadn’t just randomly assigned moves; he’s a true genius!’

’A genius who surpasses me!’

Diya punched left and right, pressing forward rapidly; Yu Bao used Desert Concealment to repeatedly sidestep, handling it with ease.

”Sa?” (It can actually keep up with my rhythm?)

”Woof!” (You’re not so tough after all!)

Yu Bao had faced a Cyan Feathered Falcon, a Valley Tiger Hunter, a White Flame Battle Spirit... It was already used to this level of intensity.

’Mobile Pet Beasts? I eat mobile types for breakfast!’

Although Diya had no face, its expression still darkened upon hearing Yu Bao’s taunt.

’I’m a dignified Pet Beast from the national team, and this stupid little country mutt is a fucking nobody!’

Diya fell silent and secretly increased the frequency of its attacks.

After speeding up the tempo, many of Diya’s attack patterns were made without thinking, following subconscious habits. This, in turn, lacked that hard-to-perceive spark of inspiration.

Yu Bao had been consciously observing, and now it figured out Diya’s offensive patterns with little effort.

It looked like Diya was attacking ferociously, but Yu Bao’s awareness always kept it one step ahead, allowing it to dodge with ease every time!

Instead, it was Diya who was put in a tough spot, having all the momentum but being unable to press its advantage.

”Interesting. He’s probing your attack patterns.”

Peng Kai licked his lips with great interest, exposing the situation in a single sentence.

”Sa!?”

Diya broke out in a cold sweat from shock.

Oh wait, it’s a Fire Element; it doesn’t sweat.

”Sa?” (Then what should I do?)

”Play along! Keep attacking just like this to mislead Yu Bao!”

”Sa!” (Yes, sir!)

Diya’s attacks became even more relentless, and Yu Bao continued to offer up spectacular dodges. The audience below roared with excitement, loving every moment.

Yu Bao was also quite pleased. ’This little bro fell for the trap so quickly. His mental game is weak.’

But Su Zhi didn’t allow Yu Bao to take the opportunity to defend and counter-attack.

His order was:

Stay alert, and keep observing!

The opponent’s attack patterns were basically figured out, and it had even fallen into the trap of continuously exerting itself without gaining an advantage. This was naturally the perfect time to counter-attack.

But Su Zhi felt something wasn’t right. The Nether Flame Spirit’s attacks seemed a little too predictable.

Although it was possible he was just being paranoid, his intuition still told him not to be reckless at this moment.

WHOOSH!

The Nether Flame Spirit feinted a punch and suddenly retreated.

Even though Yu Bao was prepared, it was still thrown off by the extremely consistent feint, losing its balance.

Su Zhi was shocked. The fully-focused Yu Bao had actually failed to see through the opponent’s feint!

Seeing Diya spread its claws, Su Zhi’s heart leaped into his throat. ”Yu Bao! Defend, now!”

This starting stance was for Ghost Explosion Shockwave, a Nether Flame Spirit Core Skill. It could attach a high concentration of Ghost Element to flames and fire them, possessing immense destructive power!

Yu Bao quickly summoned a Quicksand Shield to defend, but the expected attack never came.

Diya had only taken the stance for Ghost Explosion Shockwave without actually unleashing it. A purplish-red halo now swirled around its body.

This was the Ring of Nether Flame, an Enhancing Skill that makes the Nether Flame Spirit’s fire more active and vigorous, boosting its attack power and speed...

Su Zhi almost fainted from anger.

’So the bastard was bluffing me!’

’Then again, I think I’ve pulled the same trick on others...’

On the other side of the ring, although Diya had successfully cast its skill, it also had a look of utter confusion.

’What the heck is this round shield made of constantly spinning sand?’

’It couldn’t be... Flowing Shield??’

’It had also received professional pre-contract training. It remembered that Earth Element Pet Beasts don’t have this skill, right?’

”Yu Bao, don’t panic! No regrets, commit to the move! Smack it with the shield!”

”Woof!”

With a fierce look in its eyes, the Quicksand Shield gathered in front of Yu Bao shot toward Diya with a WHOOSH.

Take this!

Diya hurriedly fired a Nether Flame Missile to stop it, but against the powerful, heavy shield, it was as futile as a mantis trying to stop a chariot; it couldn’t even slow the shield down.

THUD!

The shield slammed hard onto the ring, letting out a dull thud.

”Sa?!”

Diya dodged with a look of utter terror, narrowly escaping.

’How is the effect exactly the same as Flowing Shield? And sand hurts way more than water!’

’Could it be...’

Diya looked blankly across the ring, its Dao heart wavering.

’Is Yu Bao a duck?!’
