Fairy Tail: Collapsing Stars

Chapter 432: Why Is a Guild with Only Dragons and No Fairies Called Fairy Tail?

”Dragon?!”

”That is a dragon, right?!”

”If Iʼm not mistaken, that is a dragon, right?”

Lucy looked at Kurnugi, who spread his wings and released powerful magic power, and widened her eyes as she spoke shakily.

Pitch-black wings, dark gray dragon scales, powerful magic power that was being released at all times, and vast magic power that made the air viscous. Without a doubt, Kurnugiʼs appearance was exactly the same as the image of dragons in legends and stories in Lucyʼs mind!

”Lucy, what are you afraid of?”

Happy spread his small white wings and flew beside Lucy, asking with concern.

”You ask what Iʼm afraid of? I want to ask you, why are you not afraid? You know, that is a dragon!”

”In this world, what Mage Guild has such a terrifying thing inside it?”

”Besides, shouldnʼt dragons live in forests?!”

After hearing Happyʼs question, Lucy widened her eyes and asked Happy.

”Huh?! Dragons all live in forests?”

”Lucy, you really donʼt understand dragons~”

”Dragons can also turn into humans and live together with humans~”

”Besides, isnʼt it normal for a Mage Guild to raise a dragon or something?”

”I think aside from Fairy Tail, other Mage Guilds should also raise a few dragons, right?”

After hearing Lucy, Happy scratched his cheek and asked in confusion.

”Completely abnormal!”

”Completely abnormal, okay?!”

”Also, Mage Guilds other than Fairy Tail absolutely do not raise dragons!”

”What do you think dragons are? Dragons are not cats or dogs! They are creatures standing at the pinnacle of the magic world, beings that only exist in myths or legends!”

Lucy crossed her hands in front of herself, making an X, and repeatedly shook her head at Happy.

”Is that so?!”

Happy froze for a moment. Because he had never been to other Mage Guilds, he did not know whether other Mage Guilds had dragons or not. In any case, their Guild had quite a lot of dragons.

However, Lucyʼs line that dragons were not cats or dogs still made Happy feel very angry. What was wrong with cats and dogs? Fairy Tailʼs cats were even rarer than dragons~

And so, Happy decided to directly deduct the salted fish he had originally planned to give Lucy...

”I thought dragons were very common in this world~”

”In fact, originally, Natsu and I went to Hargeon to look for the Fire Dragon~”

After thinking for a while, Happy looked at Lucy and explained.

”Youʼre saying that what you and Natsu went to Hargeon to find was actually this thing?!”

For a moment, Lucy suddenly understood. Only now did she understand what Natsu had said to her earlier.

So dragons really could turn into humans and hide around humans...

”This is way too ridiculous! Itʼs even more absurd than the stories Iʼve read...”

Lucy felt her brain spin and her head hurt.

She suddenly discovered that her real life was even more absurd than the stories she read...

”Sword, come!”

Before Lucy could think more, Erza, who was at the center of the battle, raised her hand toward the sky. Immediately, accompanied by a sound breaking through the air, a figure made a shining entrance.

The one summoned by Erza was none other than Erzaʼs exclusive weapon, the Dragon Slayer Holy Sword Gajeel.

At that moment, Gajeel looked gloomy as he stared at Erza, who had summoned him.

”Sword? Thatʼs a person, right? That is definitely a person, right?”

Even from far away, Lucy could not help frantically complaining at the scene before her.

It was not that Lucy did not want to control herself, but there were simply too many points to complain about right now. She could not control herself at all...

”Roar!”

Just as Erza summoned the Holy Sword to her side, Kurnugi let out a roar. He spread his wings and charged toward Erza.

”Kurnugi, wake up! Look clearly at who I am!”

”Forget it, Iʼll just beat you awake!”

”Kurnugi, eat my Dragon Slayer Secret Art: Rotating Super Electromagnetic Gray Gajeel!”

Erza remained calm in the face of danger. She directly used the awakened ability of her Magnet-Magnet Fruit, attracting Gajeel onto her right hand, then launched that overwhelmingly powerful strike at Kurnugi.

”Buzz! Boom!!”

Accompanied by a series of dazzling electric lights, Gajeel, whose entire body had been infused with Dragon Slayer power, was like a flying sword as he flew toward Kurnugi with cyan lightning.

”What?!”

After Kurnugi sensed the sound breaking through the air, it was already too late for him to dodge. He could only watch helplessly as a gray figure shot toward his head.

”Boom!”

Before Kurnugi could think any further, accompanied by a roar, that gray figure collided with his head, instantly producing an explosion-like howl.

At this moment, the earth, atmosphere, and even the magic power in space were all trembling slightly...

In merely the blink of an eye, Kurnugi, who had transformed into a dragon, collapsed to the ground! His eyes rolled white, and he lost consciousness...

The one who lost consciousness along with Kurnugi was Erzaʼs exclusive weapon, Anti-Dragon Holy Sword Gajeel.

”Kurnugi, you finally quieted down!”

Erza looked at the unconscious Kurnugi and slowly let out a sigh of relief.

”Gajeel, as my exclusive weapon, youʼve done your best.”

Immediately afterward, Erza looked toward her exclusive weapon, who had also collapsed to the ground. Regarding Gajeelʼs performance today, Erza smiled and gave him a thumbs-up.

”So brutal! Although this girl is very beautiful, she is especially brutal!”

”No! I should say that all the Mages in this Guild are especially brutal!”

Lucy looked at Erza and widened her eyes. At that moment, she already did not know what to say. She had been completely intimidated by Erzaʼs power.

”But the battle is finally over...”

”Next, everyone should calm down, right?”

”Speaking of which, all of Fairy Tail has already become a complete mess!”

Lucy looked at the unconscious Kurnugi, Gajeel, and Natsu and the others subdued by Mirajane.

As well as Erza and Mirajane, who had already lost their will to fight. The corners of her mouth rose. As expected, Fairy Tailʼs Mages were still very harmonious...

...Like hell they were!

”The entire Fairy Tail Guild has already been destroyed into a complete mess! There isnʼt a single good table or chair left in the Guild, the ground is covered in cracks, and the walls are still shaking, looking like they could collapse at any moment! What kind of light Mage Guild is this?”

Lucyʼs amber eyes continuously surveyed everything around her. Looking at the broken tables and chairs, the ruined and crumbling walls, and the cracks in the ground caused by the shaking, she could not help frantically complaining.

Regarding the behavior of Fairy Tailʼs Mages, Lucy expressed that these people were far too brutal!

So brutal that it almost made people feel fear! At the same time, at this moment, young Lucy had only one thought in her heart...

You call this a light Mage Guild?!

If light Mage Guilds were already this brutal, then what would Dark Mage Guilds be like? Hell?

”Uh...”

When Lucy thought of this, she no longer dared to continue thinking. Just imagining it made her shudder.

”Lucy, be careful. The warm-up is over! The terrifying thing is coming next!”

At this moment, Makarov walked to Lucyʼs side with his hands behind his back. His gaze was serious as he warned Lucy.

”You call that thing just now a warm-up?!”

”Hehe, if you hadnʼt said that, I would have thought it was some kind of life-and-death battle!”

After hearing Makarovʼs words, Lucy first froze, then the corners of her eyes began twitching uncontrollably.

At that moment, Lucy felt that she must have heard wrong...

The Fairy Tail Guild Master before her had actually said that the battle between Mirajane, that beautiful red-haired girl, and that fierce dragon just now could only be called a warm-up battle?!

If that thing was called a warm-up, then what did a formal battle look like?

Did everyone prepare super magic powerful enough to destroy the Kingdom of Fiore?

”That shouldnʼt happen, right?”

Thinking of this, Lucy could not help revealing a bitter smile. Although she could not imagine what a formal battle looked like in Makarovʼs eyes, it should not be as exaggerated as what she had just imagined.

”Buzz!”

Just as Lucy smiled bitterly, suddenly, inside Fairy Tailʼs hall, a portal made of flowing water lit up. Immediately afterward, amid a wave of violent magic power, that portal slowly opened...

The first thing that entered everyoneʼs eyes was a pair of snow-white and slender long legs. Immediately afterward was a perfect figure that made every male feel his blood surge, especially that pair of plumpness that swayed and shook, making oneʼs mind tremble...

”A troublesome person has arrived!”

As those snow-white legs first entered everyoneʼs eyes, all the members of Fairy Tail swallowed their saliva. They were not stirred by desire because of those beautiful legs, but felt fear!

Yes, the owner of those beautiful legs made even the mad Fairy Tail feel fear. For a time, the Mages in the Guild directly held their breath. They did not even dare breathe heavily, because they knew that the truly troublesome one had only just arrived.

”That is...”

At that moment, Lucy also noticed the heavy atmosphere inside Fairy Tail, and she looked toward the portal as well.

What entered Lucyʼs sight was a beautiful woman wearing a modified kimono and a shrine maiden hat, with pale golden long hair and a charming face. This woman had a pure and noble temperament as well as a seductive fox-like face, truly combining two kinds of charm in one body...

”So beautiful!”

Looking at the beautiful woman who had arrived in the Guild through the portal, Lucy felt her heart ripple.

Yes, this woman before her was a being that even a young girl like Lucy would find beautiful!

If one had to use a single adjective to describe the beautiful person before Lucy, then the womanʼs beauty was like the soft and bright moonlight released by the eternal full moon hanging in the sky of Earth-land, illuminating the dark night...

In Earth-land, there was also a custom of moon-viewing. In other words...

This beautiful woman with pale golden long hair, in Lucyʼs eyes, was like a work of art that one could admire quietly from afar.

”How embarrassing, Kurnugi~”

”You actually lost to that bastard Ireneʼs child...”

Just as Lucy looked at the woman, who seemed as sacred as moonlight, with almost infatuated eyes, the moon goddess-like woman suddenly spoke.

The woman glanced at Kurnugi lying on the ground, and a trace of disdain flashed in her eyes. Her words were filled with contempt toward Kurnugi, as well as the disappointment hidden deep within her tone...

”Ireneʼs daughter, you hit my son. Tell me, how should we settle this account?”

Immediately afterward, the moonlight-like woman ignored Kurnugi on the ground, turned to look at Erza with her crimson long hair, and asked.

”Aunt Selene...”

”I believe this is a matter between us juniors!”

”Kurnugi lost because his skills were inferior, so I do not think I need to give you any explanation.”

Erza held the hilt of her knight sword with both hands and stood before Selene. Her expression was calm, and she had no intention of explaining anything to Selene.

”Hehe, as expected of Erza. It seems not only has your strength improved, even your courage has grown~”

Yes, this moon goddess-like woman who seemed to have walked out from the full moon was none other than Moon Dragon God Selene...

At that moment, after hearing Erzaʼs words, Selene merely smiled lightly, her tone carrying a hint of sarcasm.

”Hm?!”

This made Erza furrow her brows, her expression seeming somewhat uncomfortable.

”Forget it. I canʼt be bothered with childrenʼs matters~”

”Let that bastard Irene come out...”

”Of course, if you agree to give your older brother to me, todayʼs matter can also end here~”

”I can even make the decision to give Kurnugi to you as a sandbag!”

Selene seemed too lazy to deal with Erza and directly said she wanted to have a parent-teacher conference with Erzaʼs guardian.

To Selene, Erza was still too young...

Mm, too young in every aspect!

”To deal with you, why would Mother and Brother need to come?!”

”I alone am enough!”

As Erza spoke, an incomparably surging magic power erupted from her body. The terrifying magic power was like a crystal-clear column of water, shooting straight into the sky...

Immediately afterward, Erza held her katana and charged toward Selene.

”Haha~”

”Erza, you really have grown up~”

”You have already become as cute as Irene~”

Selene looked at Erza charging toward her and revealed a bewitching smile.

Then she extended one finger toward Erza...

”Buzz!”

For a moment, magic power surged into the sky, and Erza instantly flew backward.

The speed was so fast that even Lucy, who had been staring fixedly at Erza and Selene the entire time, still could not see clearly.

”Little Erza, you tried your best~”

In response, Selene revealed a gentle smile.

”Youʼve got to be kidding me! That girl who could fight evenly with Miss Mirajane was actually sent flying with one strike?!”

At that moment, Lucy, who was hiding together with Makarov, looked at Erza being sent flying by Selene with one strike and widened her eyes.

”Thatʼs only natural! Although Erza is very strong, her opponent is, after all, the one with the title Moon Dragon God...”

After hearing Lucy, Makarov smiled and began explaining to her.

However, before Makarov could finish speaking, accompanied by a whistling sound, Erza flew toward Makarov like a cannonball...

”Bang!”

Accompanied by a roar, Makarov was directly crushed to the ground by Erza.

”A-Are you okay?!”

Seeing this, Lucy nervously asked Makarov.

”Iʼm fine! My body is very sturdy!”

At the same time, Erza, who slowly stood up from the ground, moved her neck. While making cracking sounds, she smiled faintly at Lucy and indicated that she was fine.

”No, no, no! I meant Guild Master Makarov, who was crushed beneath you...”

Hearing this, Lucy could not help pointing at Makarov beneath Erza and speaking.

”What?!”

After hearing Lucy, Erza immediately looked down.

She looked at Makarov, who had already fainted, with a nervous expression...

”Guild Master Makarov, are you all right?”

Erza tightly gripped Makarovʼs shoulders with both hands and kept shaking him.

”...”

Makarov, who felt Erzaʼs ”enthusiasm,” rolled his eyes back, foamed at the mouth, and remained silent.

Uh, all right! In fact, it was not that Makarov had nothing to say, but that he simply had no strength to speak...

”N-No! I think I saw something like a soul floating out of Guild Master Makarovʼs mouth!”

Sharp-eyed Lucy looked at Makarov, who was being shaken continuously by Erza, and froze.

Then Lucy seemed to notice something. She pointed at the transparent object that kept floating out of Makarovʼs mouth with Erzaʼs shaking and spoke in shock.

”Damn Selene! She actually beat Guild Master Makarov into this state. Absolutely unforgivable!”

Hearing this, Erza became angry and threw Makarov onto the ground.

At the same time, she looked coldly at Selene in the distance.

”Ah!”

However, the already elderly Makarov, after being thrown onto the ground by Erza...

This made Makarov, whose body was already covered in countless hidden injuries, even worse! His body became even more exhausted...

”No! Actually, the injuries on Guild Master Makarov were caused by you, right?”

In response, Lucyʼs eye twitched slightly as she silently complained while looking at Erza.

”Buzz!”

Just as Lucy was continuously complaining about Erza and Makarov, another portal appeared in Fairy Tailʼs hall...

Unlike Seleneʼs portal, the newly appeared portal was scarlet!

Immediately afterward, a woman wearing a magic robe, with flame-like scarlet long hair, an appearance almost carved from the same mold as Erzaʼs, but more mature and even more graceful than Erza, stepped into Fairy Tail in high heels.

”So beautiful!”

This was the second time Lucy had been attracted by a womanʼs beauty. Although the newly appeared woman looked extremely similar to Erza, that aura of supremacy, as if only she reigned above heaven and earth, made the woman even more gorgeous and moving! With just one extra glance, Lucy was almost subdued by the womanʼs conqueror-like aura.

”Irene, you finally came out~”

Selene looked at the beautiful woman before her and smiled, speaking the womanʼs name.

”Selene, I only went one week without beating you, and youʼre already itching again, arenʼt you?”

After hearing Selene, Irene raised the corners of her mouth and asked aloud.

”Less nonsense! Come!”

Selene had long since become shaped like Fairy Tail. She laughed loudly, and while boundless energy erupted from her body, she attacked Irene like lightning.

”Hmph!”

Facing Seleneʼs offensive, Ireneʼs eyes were disdainful. She raised the staff in her hand and blocked in front of herself.

”Buzz!”

”BOOM!!”

In the blink of an eye, Irene and Seleneʼs attacks instantly collided!

Immediately afterward, centered on Irene and Selene, enormous magic power directly spread throughout all of Fairy Tail...

”Uh!”

For a moment, Lucyʼs eyes were covered by light.

”W-What happened?”

A moment later, when Lucy opened her eyes, she looked around in confusion.

She remembered that she should have been inside Fairy Tail earlier...

However, what entered her eyes now was only a field of ruins.

”Yo! Youʼre awake, Lucy~”

Just as Lucy woke up, Mirajane and Erza, both wrapped in bandages, came to Lucyʼs side.

”Where is this?”

Lucy looked at Mirajane and Erza with confusion and asked.

”This is Fairy Tail~”

Erza and Mirajane smiled at Lucy as they spoke.

”Then where is the Guild?”

Hearing this, Lucy turned her head and looked around. After confirming that there were only ruins and no Guild, she asked Erza and Mirajane.

”The Guild exploded~”

After hearing Lucyʼs question, Mirajane answered calmly.

”Donʼt worry, newcomer!”

”Our Guild explodes once every day. Youʼll get used to it!”

The kind-hearted Erza even reached out and patted Lucyʼs shoulder, comforting her.

”No, no, no...”

”You canʼt get used to something like this at all, right?”

”Speaking of which, why can you say something like the Guild exploded so calmly?”

”This is way too strange, isnʼt it?”

Lucyʼs eyes twitched. She already did not know how many times she had complained today. She now wanted to find some god in the sky and pray: please, let this Guild have fewer things to complain about!

”Boom!”

Just as Lucy kept complaining to Erza and Mirajane, bursts of thunder sounded in the sky.

Irene and Seleneʼs battle had begun to intensify...

”BOOM!!”

There was naturally no need to say much about Irene. At that moment, she had already entered her awakened mode. Her body became slender and more suited for battle, while ribbon-like flame clouds surrounded her. At that moment, Irene was like a goddess descending from the sky, beautiful!

”ROAR!!”

As for Selene, she was finally forced by Irene to reveal her true form. Only fluffy tails could be seen rising into the sky, blotting out the sun! The moon goddess-like Selene had disappeared, replaced by a golden nine-tailed heavenly fox!

”Fox?!”

”No! This is a dragon! Itʼs a dragon, right? Another dragon?”

Lucy looked at the dazzling nine-tailed fox in the sky, her expression shocked.

Dragons that were hard to encounter elsewhere, she had already encountered two of them in just a short while!

”Roar!”

Just as Lucy was shocked, accompanied by that nine-tailed foxʼs roar!

The entire sky suddenly darkened. Endless night enveloped all of Magnolia Town, and a golden full moon rose into the sky, gently caressing the earth with its pale golden light.

”Ah...”

In response, Lucy was directly stunned. Her mouth opened wide, and she could not speak for a long time. Facing the scene before her, Lucy was completely at a loss for words and already did not know what to say.

”Youʼre Sister Lucy, who Brother Natsu brought into the Guild, right?”

Just as Lucy was shocked, a clear voice sounded beside her ear.

”Mm, you are?”

Hearing this, Lucy looked down and saw a boy who appeared to be only around five or six years old standing beside her, smiling at her.

”Me? My name is Romeo. Iʼm the son of Fairy Tail member Macao! In the future, I will also become a member of Fairy Tail...”

”Of course, because Iʼm still too young right now and havenʼt mastered powerful magic, those jobs are too dangerous for me, so Iʼm not an official member of Fairy Tail yet...”

The boy, Macaoʼs son Romeo, smiled as he introduced himself to Lucy.

”No! Now isnʼt the time to talk about that!”

”Romeo! First tell this sister, what exactly is going on right now? How did the sky suddenly turn into night?! And how did such a huge moon suddenly appear in the sky?”

At that moment, Lucy had endless questions in her heart. She grabbed Romeo and kept asking.

”Huh?!”

”Could it be that Sister Lucy doesnʼt know?”

”When Aunt Selene gets angry, the sky turns into night! Because Aunt Selene is a super Mage who can control the moon~”

”This should be common knowledge, right?”

”Everyone in Magnolia Town knows it...”

After hearing Lucy, Romeo scratched his cheek. He opened his watery, sincere eyes and asked Lucy.

”What kind of joke is this?!”

”What kind of common knowledge is that?”

Lucy held her head, becoming chaotic in the night wind.

”But ever since I was born, whenever the sky suddenly turned from day to night, all the adults explained it to me like this...”

”Every adult in town teaches their children this. If you donʼt believe me, go ask around town!”

Romeo looked confused as he spoke to Lucy.

”I was wrong! It isnʼt just Fairy Tail thatʼs abnormal!”

”All of Magnolia Town is abnormal!”

Lucy held her head, becoming even more chaotic.

”BOOM!!”

Just as the gentle moonlight lightly fell upon everyoneʼs cheeks, another great sun suddenly appeared in the sky!

This was not a metaphor, but real, as if another sun had truly appeared! It directly dispelled the darkness on the earth, and the entire town was once again covered in light...

Unfortunately, however, the sunʼs light vanished when approaching the moon in the sky, causing Magnolia Townʼs sky at this moment to be half surrounded by night and covered in moonlight, while the other half was illuminated by the great sun, with endless light filling heaven and earth!

For a time, the marvelous spectacle of the sun and moon shining together actually appeared above Magnolia, a remote town in the Kingdom of Fiore, which was itself considered a rather remote country on the continent of Ishgar!

”What is going on now?”

In response, Lucy looked at Romeo in shock and asked. At the same time, Lucy felt the scene before her seemed somewhat familiar...

As if back when Natsu saved her, he had used the same magic and also summoned a great sun. Only, the sun Natsu had summoned could only count as a small flame compared to this enormous fireball before her that looked like a real sun!

”Ah! Itʼs Natsuʼs older brother Ignia making a move~”

Before Romeo could speak, Happy answered Lucyʼs question.

”Natsuʼs older brother?”

After hearing Romeo, Lucy could not help asking aloud.

”Mm! Natsuʼs older brother, Fire Dragon God Ignia!”

Happy seriously introduced him to Lucy.

”Fire Dragon God?”

After hearing Happy, Lucy raised her brows. An ominous feeling immediately rose in her heart.

”Yes! As you heard, Natsuʼs older brother is a dragon!”

Hearing this, Happy smiled slightly.

”Dragon?!”

Lucyʼs pupils trembled. She found Happyʼs words hard to believe.

”ROAR!!”

Just as Lucy was shocked, a dragon roar suddenly came from the sky. That red skin and ferocious appearance all proved that Happyʼs words were correct...

”How can a fight not include me?”

The crimson dragon coldly asked Selene and Irene.

For a time, three dragons faced off against one another, splitting Magnolia Townʼs sky among themselves...

”Ah...”

Lucy looked at the dragons in the sky and fell silent.

”So our Fairy Tail Guild has three dragons in total?”

Lucy asked Happy.

Because Irene was not in dragon form, Lucy did not treat Irene as a dragon...

”No! Our Guild has many dragons, and a group of Dragon Slayer Mages too. They just didnʼt come!”

Hearing this, Happy shook his head at Lucy.

”...”

Lucy fell silent after hearing this.

”Then please allow me to ask you something presumptuous...”

After thinking for a long time, Lucy softly asked Happy.

”Hm?”

Happy nodded lightly, signaling that Lucy could ask him anything she did not understand.

”Does our Fairy Tail Guild have fairies?”

Lucy looked at Happy and asked seriously.

”Hiss...”

”I really havenʼt heard of that!”

Happy sucked in a cold breath, then shook his head.

”Then here comes my question...”

After hearing Happy, the corners of Lucyʼs mouth rose slightly, revealing an expression that said she had expected this.

”Inhale~”

In order to ask the question in her mouth, Lucy took a deep breath.

”Since our Guild has no fairies and only dragons, then why is our Mage Guild called Fairy Tail and not Dragon Tail? Please answer me!”

Lucy looked at Happy and complained.

”Aye!”

Happyʼs brain instantly crashed, and in the end, he could only say his catchphrase to Lucy.

”Why are you saying aye?”

Lucy looked at Happy, her eye twitching.
