Fairy Tail: Collapsing Stars

Chapter 424: On the Difficulty of Whitewashing the Strongest Dark Guild, Fairy Tail

Inside the Fairy Tail guild...

”In short, for our guildʼs good and positive image in the Fiore Kingdomʼs magic world! We have decided to shoot a promotional video that promotes our guildʼs image!”

Evan threw the half-dead Ignia aside and used the clean rag beside him to wipe his palm clean.

Then he looked at the Mages inside the guild and spoke with a heavy expression.

Yes, because Fairy Tailʼs new members were becoming fewer and fewer, and because Magnolia was becoming less and less suitable for ”humans” to live in, the members who had originally joined the Fairy Tail guild were also constantly being lost...

Mainly, for some Mages with weak strength, Fairy Tail really was not a place humans should stay!

So for the future of the Fairy Tail guild, Makarov asked Evan to shoot a promotional video promoting Fairy Tailʼs magnificent image...

And Evanʼs mind had also received a sudden mission from the system!

[Sudden Mission: Help the worldʼs number one Dark Guild, Fairy Tail, shoot a whitewashing promotional video.]

[Complete Whitewashing: Reward one 100-year quest medal.]

[Reluctant Whitewashing: Reward one 10-year quest medal.]

[No Whitewashing: Reward one SS-Class quest medal.]

[Making It Even Darker: Reward one S-Class quest medal.]

”A 100-year quest medal? In the systemʼs eyes, whitewashing our Fairy Tail is a mission of the same difficulty as subjugating the Five Dragon Gods? But our Fairy Tail is white to begin with, so what is there to whitewash?”

Evan looked at the systemʼs mission rewards and froze, while his heart was filled with doubt.

Evan looked at the system mission in his mind, as well as the mission rewards, and frowned. He always felt that the system probably had some misunderstanding about their Fairy Tail guild. Their Fairy Tail guild was clearly the worldʼs strongest Light Mage Guild, so how had it become the worldʼs number one Dark Guild in the systemʼs eyes?

Regarding this, Evan said that there was a major problem with his system! If the system did not have a problem, then it was Evan who had a problem, but there was absolutely no possibility that Evan had a problem...

However, whether the system was wrong or Evan himself was wrong, the problem was not big! As long as he completed the mission given by the system and obtained another 100-year quest medal, then Evan was confident that he would become an existence surpassing gods...

”A promotional video promoting the positive image of our Fairy Tail guild? This difficulty is not ordinarily high!”

Macao, who was playing poker with the guildʼs little companions under the name of small gambling for fun, frowned after hearing Evanʼs words and secretly thought that this was not good! At the same time, Macao fell into thought. Did their Fairy Tail guild have such a thing as a positive image?

Although Macao could not find the guildʼs positive image, he could find several hundred sheets of A4 paper filled with negative materials and the ”misdeeds” of Fairy Tail guild members. These misdeeds were sent over by the Magic Council last month. According to Senior Warrod, he wanted the members of the Fairy Tail guild to restrain themselves a little. He could hardly bear to keep watching.

Of course, there were no major mistakes like burning, killing, looting, and robbing. They were all small mistakes of good intentions causing bad results...

”Thatʼs right!”

Evan nodded lightly, expressing affirmation.

”Evan is right!”

Just as Evanʼs voice fell, the former Guild Master of Fairy Tail, current Fairy Tail Guild Master assistant, and part-time next Guild Master of the Fairy Tail guild, Makarov, stood up from the bar counter, lightly leaped, and landed beside Evan.

The little old man placed his hands behind his back and looked at the Mages of his guild before him, speaking in a deep voice.

”First is the image problem!”

”Those like Ignia, who have tattoos on their body, are unqualified!”

Makarov continued Evanʼs words and began scolding the Mages inside the guild. The first person he named and criticized was Ignia, who was currently lying on the ground like a corpse.

”Hah?”

Hearing this, Ignia slowly sat up from the ground. At this moment, the wounds covering his body had already completely healed under the dragon raceʼs powerful self-healing ability. He moved his neck and looked at Makarov with a face full of dissatisfaction.

”Evan...”

Makarov was stared at by Igniaʼs fierce gaze until his heart went numb. After all, Ignia was a Dragon King-level monster. Makarov, who was being stared at the whole time by Ignia, the highest-level predator called a dragon that stood at the peak of life in Earth-land, had the fear hidden in his DNA surging out like a flood, to the point that Makarov directly sent a signal for help toward Evan behind him.

”Cough, cough...”

Evan said nothing. He merely coughed twice at Ignia.

”Tch~”

After Ignia felt Evanʼs gaze, he helplessly curled his lips.

If it was the face of a mere human, he could refuse to give it...

But Evan, who was a dragon of the same level as him and even had a power stronger than his hidden inside his body, had face that Ignia could only helplessly give.

”These tattoos have special meaning. They are not some strange tattoos, and they are not something I can erase just because I want to...” Ignia first explained the meaning of the black patterns on his body, then proudly said to Evan and the others, ”I think you should have seen my old man, right? His body also has the same symbols as mine. This is a kind of inheritance! The inheritance of the King of Fire Dragons~”

”This is for you~”

Evan was too lazy to waste words with Ignia. He directly threw a jacket to Ignia.

”Hah? Itʼs for me?”

Ignia looked at the jacket and raised his brows.

”At least put on the jacket and cover the patterns on your body!”

Evan explained to Ignia.

”So troublesome...”

Ignia said it was troublesome, but his body honestly put on the leather jacket Evan gave him.

It had to be said that Ignia, who already had a bit of delinquent aura, looked a little steadier after putting on the leather jacket, and that delinquent aura instead added a few bits of roguish handsomeness to Ignia.

”After putting on clothes, you do look somewhat human...”

Evan looked at Ignia wearing the leather jacket and nodded lightly, expressing affirmation.

”Hah? I inherited all the advantages of my father and mother. According to the dragon raceʼs aesthetics, Iʼm super handsome, alright?”

After hearing Evanʼs words, Ignia looked somewhat displeased.

”Alright, your problem is already solved!”

”Next is the most serious problem!”

”Lyon and Gray, can you two put your clothes on?”

”As long as you are in this guild, it is not wholesome at all and has no positive image!”

Evan ignored Ignia, who looked unhappy but was actually secretly admiring himself, and looked toward the greatest obstacles preventing the Fairy Tail guild from moving toward wholesomeness—Gray, Lyon, and their master Ur, speaking coldly.

”Hehe...”

”Is that so? As long as we put on clothes, we become wholesome, right?”

Lyon crossed his arms in front of his chest. His entire body did not have a single strip of cloth, only that black-as-ink basketball.

”Yes...”

Evan nodded lightly, while his eyes narrowed slightly.

”But I refuse! The greatest interest of my life, Lyon, is saying no to those who force me to wear clothes!”

”Evan, can even you not understand me? I thought you were different from everyone else in the guild! You were someone who understood me. It seems you have ultimately become a commoner too!”

Lyon looked proudly at Evan and spoke arrogantly.

”Actually, I donʼt want to take off my clothes!”

”I just keep forgetting to wear clothes...”

Gray scratched the back of his head, then pulled up the half of his pants that he had unknowingly taken off.

As he grew older, he had already noticed his own problem. He could not keep running naked in the streets like a child anymore.

”Gray-sama, who has already learned to wear clothes, is also very handsome~”

Juvia, who had joined the Fairy Tail guild about a month ago, looked at Gray, who had noticed his own problem and corrected his mistake after realizing it, her face flushed.

In truth, ever since a month ago, after Gray accepted a job about a rain woman frequently appearing in a nearby town and fought Juvia, who was a rain woman, Juvia, just like in the original work, had become filled with love toward Gray.

As for the specific process of this, Evan was not too clear either. He only sighed emotionally that sure enough, Gray and Juvia, who could tolerate him, were a perfect match~

”Gray, you betrayed me! We clearly agreed that we would stay naked together until old age...”

Lyonʼs eyes were blood-red. He angrily rebuked Gray. He looked down on Grayʼs betrayal from the bottom of his heart, and at the same time launched an attack toward Gray.

”Go to hell! Unless I lost a game and it was a punishment game, I would never make such a heaven-condemned poisonous oath with you!”

After hearing Lyonʼs words, Gray blocked Lyonʼs attack with one hand. As the two wrestled with each other in the guild, Gray angrily rebuked.

”So you did make that disgusting oath?”

Mirajane looked at Gray and Lyon, this pair of senior and junior brothers who were hostile to each other as usual. She scratched her cheek and asked Gray.

”What kind of joke is that? How could I possibly make such an oath! Of course I didnʼt~”

After hearing Mirajaneʼs words, countless beads of sweat appeared on Grayʼs forehead. He turned around and spoke nervously.

”In short, whether there was an oath or not is not important. At least when shooting the promotional video, Lyon and Gray, put your clothes on properly...”

Evan pointed at Lyon and Gray and ordered.

”Absolutely impossible...”

Lyon seriously refused Evan. If he wanted him to put on clothes, it would be better to kill him.

”Then thereʼs no helping it! It seems I can only temporarily kill you...”

Evan sighed. Magic power erupted from his body, and he prepared to send Lyon flying with a punch.

”Um, Brother Evan! Actually, there is also a place in the guild where Lyon, Gray, and Ur, these three perverts, can appear, right?”

Erza touched her chin and thought for a while, then seemed to have thought of something and asked Evan.

”Hey, hey, hey! Donʼt arbitrarily lump us together with that pervert Lyon!”

Ur and Gray protested after hearing Erzaʼs words.

”Hm?”

At the same time, Evan, who had originally been preparing to blast Lyon into the sky with one punch, suddenly stopped moving and turned sideways to look at Erza.

”Our guild has a swimming pool, right?”

Erza pointed out a building that Fairy Tail possessed but almost never used.

”Speaking of which, we really did build that thing. It was even a high-floor sky pool!”

After hearing Erzaʼs words, Evan finally reacted. Their guild indeed had built something like a swimming pool.

In short, although the Fairy Tail guild had now been constructed up to the eighteenth floor, even Evan himself was not too clear about its various facilities, because most of the time, August handled the guild construction issues.

”But when we shoot, we can only shoot the upper body! If we only shoot the upper body, no one will notice Lyon is a pervert, right?”

Erza told Evan her idea.

”So thatʼs how it is...”

After hearing Erzaʼs words, a trace of realization flashed across Evanʼs expression. A road he had never imagined had increased.

”Lyon, you are saved! You donʼt need to die! Because according to what Erza said, you, Ur, and Gray, the three perverts of master and disciples, can be considered to have a use...”

As Evan spoke, he patted Lyonʼs shoulder and comforted him.

”Hehe, hearing you say that, I really have to thank you properly! Evan, I thank you~”

Lyon looked at Evan and expressed his most sincere greeting.

”I already said, donʼt lump me together with that guy Lyon!”

Ur frowned tightly. She felt that her reputation had been harmed.

”...”

Lyon looked at Ur, who at some point was left only in a set of lace underwear, and fell silent.

Forget the others, Ur and Gray absolutely had no qualification to say that about him, right?

Speaking of which, Ur was still quite different from Lyon and Gray...

Gray and Lyon had taken off their clothes outside the Fairy Tail guild, while Ur was different. She had relied on her own magic power and will to break free from Seilahʼs Curse, then took off her clothes inside the guild.

In other words, Urʼs strength was completely above Seilahʼs! And Seilahʼs Curse had an extremely weak binding force on Ur, whose magic power had already reached a nonhuman realm. It seemed that in Seilahʼs Curseʼs judgment, Ur, who had completely fused her magic power with Ice-Make Magic, could no longer be judged as a normal human...

”Then there is the placement problem of the scumbag. How do we handle Gildarts?”

Evan looked at Gildarts, who was sitting at the bar counter drinking wine and thought this so-called promotional video had nothing to do with him, and asked aloud.

”Scumbags must die!”

In response, Erza gave Evan her suggestion on how to handle Gildarts.

”Then thereʼs no helping it!”

Evan sighed, then looked at Cana beside him, his eyes carrying some apology.

”Go ahead and do it. If he dies, itʼs on me!”

After Cana felt Evanʼs gaze, she nodded forcefully and gave Evan a thumbs up at the same time, giving Evan affirmation.

”Sorry, Gildarts...”

Evan turned around and apologized to Gildarts.

”Please wait a moment! Actually, I am also very useful!”

Gildarts shivered after feeling Evanʼs pure gaze. He could feel from Evanʼs eyes that Evan really intended to ”kill” him. In response, Gildarts believed it was time to save himself.

”Oh? What use can a scumbag still have? Playing with women?”

The female Mages in the guild cast disgusted gazes toward Gildarts.

”In truth, this is not me boasting, but I have ample experience interacting with women!”

Gildarts first introduced himself.

”Ptooey~”

Before Gildarts could finish speaking, the female Mages inside the guild were already planning to drown Gildarts with saliva.

”So I can rely on my advantage and start a host project in the guild! To fish rich women for the guild!”

Gildarts finally decided to sacrifice himself for the guild, spending his later years accompanied by rich womenʼs happy balls.

”Oh! So thatʼs how it is...”

”Speaking of which, handsome uncle types are very popular outside right now! Perhaps Gildarts might have a market.”

Levy pushed up the nearsighted glasses on the bridge of her nose. She held a market research manual in her hand and gave affirmation to Gildartsʼ appearance, temperament, and image.

”OK! The scumbag problem is solved too.”

After hearing Levyʼs words, Evan nodded lightly, while his gaze swept across the guild.

”Uh...”

Inside the Fairy Tail guild, all Mages whose bodies were stared at by Evan trembled one after another. They felt incomparably anxious and uneasy in their hearts, afraid that the next person Evan named would be them.

”Alright! The guildʼs problems are temporarily solved! We can start shooting the promotional video...”

After Evan swept his gaze over everyone in the guild, he finally revealed a smile.

”No! The guildʼs problems have fundamentally not been solved, alright?”

Regarding Evanʼs words, the Mages inside the Fairy Tail guild all complained in their hearts.

Aside from the problems of tattoos, streaking, and scumbags, there were still vile behaviors like alcoholism, gambling, fighting, and so on inside the guild that had not been handled, alright?! However, wanting to completely handle all the problems inside the Fairy Tail guild was impossible, so they directly skipped to the promotional video shooting stage.

Regarding the shooting issue, Evan found Fairy Tailʼs exclusive professional photographer Jason!

”The atmosphere of our Fairy Tail guild is harmonious...”

Jason held a camera and read the narration Evan had given him, while the image he shot was a scene of a group of Mages fighting.

”It is filled with truth, kindness, and beauty...”

The scene changed, and Jasonʼs image focused on Macao, Wakaba, and several gamblers.

”Guild members often enjoy helping others!”

Jason continued speaking.

”Please! That is the money for my childʼs schooling. It is money that absolutely cannot be lost! If my wife discovers that I used it to gamble, she will definitely kill me! In short, lend it to me first. I will return it to you in a few days!”

At this moment, Macao knelt before Cana in a pure dogeza posture and requested.

”I really canʼt do anything about you. Remember, even being late one day on repayment is not allowed! Otherwise I will tell your wife!”

Cana looked at Macao kneeling before her and sighed helplessly. Macao was good everywhere, but his occasional gambling problem was very serious. As for Cana, ever since the Fairy Tail guildʼs drinks became free, she basically stopped spending money. The amount of money she saved in a year was an astronomical figure.

”Thank you, Cana!”

After Macao borrowed money from Cana, he slowly breathed a sigh of relief.

In truth, he had not touched gambling for nearly three years. Usually, he only gave others references. Today, he felt his luck was pretty good, and in addition, he wanted to hire a better literature teacher for his child, so he walked onto an irreversible crooked path.

”The guild has a swimming pool.”

Jasonʼs camera image changed, arriving at the Fairy Tail guildʼs swimming pool.

”Splash~”

Accompanied by the sound of entering water, Gray, Lyon, and Ur jumped into the pool, fully displaying a healthy posture! Of course, it would have been even better if Lyon was not fully naked, and Gray and Ur were wearing swimsuits instead of underwear.

”At the same time, there is also an area for all ladies to relieve stress!”

As Jason spoke, he continued adjusting the camera.

At the Fairy Tail guildʼs bar counter, Gildarts, dressed in a suit and fully displaying mature charm, looked toward the camera, revealed a handsome uncle smile, and then softly said, ”Girl, want to meet up? Iʼm super amazing at night~”

”How is this a host? Gildarts is completely playing hooligan, right?”

The Mages inside the guild listened to Gildartsʼ words and mercilessly complained.

”Jason, temporarily shoot somewhere else. The front is unsuitable for children!”

Just as Jason was about to continue shooting, Evan reached out and blocked Jasonʼs camera.

”Huh? Selene? Irene? Ur? Seilah? Mirajane... and my daughter Cana, what are you going to do?”

Gildarts looked at the Fairy Tail womenʼs association members heroically charging out, and the corner of his eye twitched slightly.

”Justice execution!”

Irene and Selene, who led the womenʼs association, smiled lightly after hearing Gildartsʼ question, then used their sexy red lips to speak coldly to Gildarts.

”Huh?”

Gildartsʼ body trembled. After hearing Irene and the othersʼ words, his expression changed wildly. Unfortunately, it was already too late.

”Ah!”

A shrill scream resounded inside the camera, becoming a moving BGM. Even without looking at the terrifying scene before them that resembled a hell scroll, just hearing that shrill scream was enough to make people have nightmares.

The camera image continuously adjusted and finally had an image again. Only, the handsome uncle who had originally been wearing a suit had already disappeared. In the image, only a broken bar counter and a ”corpse” remained.

”...”

In response, even Jason himself did not know what to say.

Afternoon, dusk had arrived.

Jason was alone checking the footage he had recorded.

”How is the progress?”

Evan crossed his arms in front of him and looked at this ace reporter of the magic magazine Sorcerer as he asked.

”Haha, not a single one can be used~”

”Your guild is simply like the eighteen layers of hell.”

Jason laughed and spoke lightly.

”As expected?”

In response, Evan and Makarov looked at each other, their expressions helpless.

”But the problem is not big! In short, as long as it is edited a little, it will be OK~”

”Just wait properly for my news~”

As Jason spoke, he gave Evan a thumbs up by himself, then ran away with his camera.

”This is the only way.”

Evan looked at the departing Jason and sighed.

Evan glanced at the mission icon in his mind, which was still gray. He knew in his heart that it seemed this mission had to be put aside temporarily and could not be completed now!

Time flew by.

In the blink of an eye, four months quietly passed, and time arrived at the hot month of July!

Ultear, who had been cultivating with Ur and Precht the whole time, began attempting to use the Arc of Time to interfere with life after cultivating her Arc of Time to a completely new level.

Yes, according to Prechtʼs research, the complete Arc of Time could interfere with life, and the Arc of Time he had taught Ultear was incomplete. Precht was ultimately only Ultearʼs guide on the path of magic. As for the rest of Ultearʼs path, Ultear needed to walk it herself!

After Ultear completely drew out that enormous talent she had inherited from Ur, as well as the enormous magic power and potential sufficient to intimidate former Magic Development Bureau Director Brain, Ultearʼs strength advanced by leaps and bounds with the help of Ur and Precht, directly soaring to the level of the human limit.

At the same time, it was precisely when Ultear advanced toward the nonhuman domain that the Arc of Time she controlled changed. Ultear discovered that her Arc of Time could actually slightly interfere with life. After Ultear discovered that the Arc of Time could interfere with life, the first target she experimented on was herself.

Under Ultearʼs accidental success, or perhaps under fortunate coincidence, Ultear unexpectedly discovered that their development of the human body was incomplete! The body of a Mage, meaning the container used to store magic power, could still continue to expand!

This part that had not been discovered by Mages, had not been used by Mages, and was hidden within the human body, Ultear called the Second Origin.

Therefore, Ultear sought out Evan.

”Evan, I think I found a way to make everyone in our guild stronger!”

Ultearʼs gaze burned as she looked at Evan. She decided to give Evan, who always frightened her, a scare.

”Oh! You found the Second Origin?”

In response, Evan calmly asked.

”Huh?!”

Hearing this, Ultear froze in place.
