My Youth Began With Him

-Inside a break room of the hotel –

Huo Yanyan’s daughter was sitting on the couch with a pink doll.

“Uncle, when can I go home?” Tiantian said with her puppy-like eyes.

“Soon, I’m busy right now, but when I’m done, I’ll send you home,” Huo Siqian kindly replied.

“Okay.”

“Do you want to go home now?” Huo Siqian sat down beside the little girl.

“Mhm, if I stay out for too long, I think Mommy will be worried,” Tiantian said in a low voice.

“Does your mommy treat you well?” Huo Siqian suddenly asked.

“I guess, but sometimes, when she’s in a bad mood, she throws things. I get scared.”

“Does your dad visit?”

“Only a few times and he was asking for money…Mommy said that Daddy was a bad guy and he_ll get what is coming to him eventually. She said that Uncle Shen is a good guy, because he treats us well, gives us money, and buys us things.”

Your mommy teaches you that?” Huo Siqian was a little surprised. Learning this made him look down on Huo Yanyan even more.

She actually taught her child how to hate others based on their financial situation. It was no way to educate a child.

Mian’s daughters weren’t like Huo Yanyan’s at all. It seemed like children finding the right family to be born into was also a tough and skillful task, and if you suck, you will find your way into families of people like Huo Yanyan.

“Uncle, are you not in a good relationship with my mommy?” Tiantian hugged the doll tightly and meekly asked.

“Why do you say that?” Huo Siqian laughed.

“Because I’ve never seen you before, that must mean Mommy doesn’t really like you.”

The girl had a point. Huo Siqian remained silent for a while, and then he smiled and said, “Our relationship… It’s not great, but it’s not your fault. Also, don’t be like your mom. She’s so hateful, and you’re still so young. When you get older, you have to learn how to differentiate right from wrong by yourself.”

Tiantian didn’t seem to understand, and Huo Siqian was a little shocked that he was actually giving her a life lesson. To be honest, if she wasn’t Huo Yanyan’s child, he would really like her.

She was honest, well-behaving, smart, and not spoiled.

It was too bad that…

Huo Siqian was still thinking when his subordinate approached him and quietly asked, “Sir, Miss Huo is here.”

“Be clear, which Miss Huo?” Huo Siqian wanted to make sure if it was Huo Yanyan or…

“It’s Miss Mian, she’s just outside.”

“Okay, get the kitchen to prepare food.”

“Okay.”

“Tiantian, I’ll get someone to take you home now.”

“Okay, but…” The girl seemed hesitant.

“What’s wrong?” Huo Siqian curiously asked.

“Uncle, can I bring the toy with me? I really like this doll, I want to bring it home, is that okay?” The girl observed Huo Siqian’s expression carefully.

“Of course.”

“Yay! Thank you.” Hearing of Huo Siqian’s approval made the girl jump in joy.

“Wang, drive her home. Leave her at the security’s office,” Huo Siqian ordered.

Yes, Sir；

After taking care of Tiantian, Huo Siqian walked out and saw Huo Mian sitting there without a hint of facial emotion. “Mian, you’re here.” Huo Siqian was always incredibly gentle when he saw her.

“Where’s Huo Yanyan’s kid? I’m here now, it’s your turn to release her,” Huo Mian impolitely requested.

“She’s already on her way. Don’t worry, I always stay true to my word.” Huo Siqian smiled.

“Mian, let me guess, how did Huo Yanyan convince you to come here?” After speaking, Huo Siqian smiled mysteriously.
