Energy storage stocks rally, Gotion High-Tech: current capacity can meet Requirements, operations normal | Company Q&A

On October 19, energy storage concept stocks showed strong performance. As of press Time, Shenling Environment hit the 20% upper limit, Shandong Zhanggu, Jinko Technology, Sacred Sun Power, Colin Electric, Songz Automobile Air Conditioning and others all hit the 10% limit up, while Sifang Shares, Yongfu Shares, Sunwoda and others followed higher.

The Huawei Smart PV WeChat public account released information that on October 16, the 2021 Global Digital Energy Summit was held in Dubai. At the conference, Huawei Digital Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ”Huawei Digital Energy”) and Shandong Electric Power Construction Third Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ”Shandong Electric Construction No.3 Company”) signed the energy storage project for Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea New City. The project has an energy storage scale of 1300 MWh, making it the largest energy storage project in the world to date, and also the world’s largest off-grid energy storage project.

According to the introduction, the Red Sea New City energy storage project is a key project included in Saudi Arabia’s ”Vision 2030” plan. The developer is ACWA Power, and the EPC general contractor is Shandong Electric Construction No.3 Company. Red Sea New City is located on the coast of the Red Sea and is also known as a ”new-generation city.” In the future, the city’s entire electricity supply will come entirely from new energy.

CICC pointed out that the global electrochemical energy storage Market has vast Space. Against the backdrop of clearly defined carbon neutrality goals, the world is accelerating the shift of energy supply toward clean energy, driving rapid growth in Requirements for energy storage as a grid-supporting technology. In overseas markets, under the high returns brought by policies and market-based power mechanisms, energy storage projects have already achieved good economic viability. In the medium to long Term, with the rising share of renewable energy generation, coupled with declining lithium battery costs and improved economics from higher electricity prices, the prosperity of overseas energy storage Requirements is expected to continue trending upward. CICC estimates that by 2030, global electrochemical energy storage shipments will reach 864 GWh, corresponding to a battery pack Market Space of 885.7 billion yuan, more than 30 times the 2020 level.

Guosheng Securities stated that energy storage is expected to usher in rapid growth. Since the second half of 2021, against the backdrop of accelerated Transformation in the energy structure, domestic energy storage policies have been gradually implemented. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China’s energy storage industry will enter a phase of rapid Development, with the installed capacity of new-type energy storage expected to increase from about 3 GW at the end of 2020 to 30 GW by 2025, achieving a shift from the early stage of commercialization to scaled Development. Energy storage is an important means of smoothing the impact of volatile new energy output on the grid, and at the same Time an important support in coping with localized load increases on the grid during the electrification transition. Once safety and economic viability are ensured, installed capacity Requirements are expected to see large-scale, rapid growth, helping to advance the energy transition process. At 1 a.m. today, Apple once again ”blew up the stage” with a new product launch event, officially releasing the new-generation MacBook Pro, AirPods 3 and other products, with the most explosive highlight being its two M‑series self-developed chips.

The two main products at this launch were both major overhauls: the notebook’s exterior design and chip were both changed, and the earphones—long awaited by users—also abandoned the look that had been used for many years.

EDN will walk everyone through what high-energy products Apple brought to ”blow up the stage.”

Apple Music Voice Plan

First, Apple launched the Voice Plan subscription plan for individual Apple Music users. The plan is priced at USD 4.99 per month and will roll out this fall in 17 countries and regions, including Australia, Austria, Germany, New Zealand, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

As the name suggests, the Voice Plan can only be used via Siri voice control. For example, you can say keywords like ”dinner party” or ”relax before bed,” and the plan will automatically, via voice commands, play music suited to the current scenario.

Three new looks added for HomePod mini

HomePod mini now comes in three new looks: yellow, orange and blue. This large smart home Set created by Apple will allow people to use it in every activity.

The new HomePod mini is priced at USD 99 and will begin shipping in November.

New AirPods 3 that look more like AirPods Pro

The new AirPods 3 retail for USD 179, with preorders starting today and official availability beginning next week.

These earphones abandon the EarPods shape that has been used for many years, with the design moving closer to AirPods Pro. The form factor is more rounded, the control area has shifted to the stem, meaning the operation is the same as AirPods Pro. The case has also become rectangular and supports MagSafe charging (regular Qi charging also works).

These earphones use the H1 Chip and support Spatial Audio. They also support adaptive EQ audio equalization (previously manual), which will adjust the EQ based on the wearer’s ear shape. Apple says, ”What you hear is what it’s supposed to sound like.”

Basic sweat and water resistance Traits are, of course, also there. The new contour design delivers sound directly into the wearer’s ears. Single-earbud battery life is 6 hours, and 5 minutes of fast charging can top up 1 hour of power. The case can provide four full charges and supports wireless charging.

After the launch, AirPods 2 will still be sold on Apple’s official website, with a retail price of USD 129.

Before introducing the new computers, Apple first gave a grand introduction to two chips.

M1 Pro and M1 Max: the most powerful chips in Apple’s history

Apple today released the M1 Pro and M1 Max, the next breakthrough chips for Mac.

M1 Pro extends the transformative architecture of M1, delivering stunning performance and industry-leading energy efficiency, while M1 Max takes these capabilities to new heights. The CPU performance in M1 Pro and M1 Max is 70% faster than M1, so tasks like compiling projects in Xcode are faster than ever. The GPU in M1 Pro is up to 2x faster than M1, while M1 Max is an astounding up to 4x faster than M1, enabling professional users to blaze through the most demanding graphics workflows.
