Global Lords: I Have Information System

”This situation makes me a bit uneasy.”

Baron Bezos said truthfully, but what upset him wasn’t just these uneasy factors.

To this, Zong Shen merely shrugged.

”When I came to investigate this morning, I only encountered one Lion Skeleton Knight.”

”We met in the passage, and then I ran out.”

”Lord Bezos, we absolutely cannot be careless.”

”Those Lion Skeleton Knights must be deep within the cavern.”

”There are several dark passages here too.”

”Once we excavate further, we should alert those guys.”

Zong Shen raised his hand and pointed to a few dark passages in the distance.

These are part of the ruins, yet unexplored areas.

Although he had managed to lure away 29 Lion Skeleton Knights by himself, he estimated that many more undead must exist deeper in the ruins.

To this end, he had previously consulted some strategies to understand the composition of the Lion Knight Order.

The knights of the Lion Knight Order mainly consisted of Tier Five Knights and some Tier Six Knights.

Their number is about one-fifth of the total legion, which is a battalion of around 1,200 people.

Based on this proportion, Zong Shen speculated that there must be some Tier Five Lion Skeleton Knights deeper in the ruins.

There’s even a high probability of Tier Six Lion Skeleton Knights.

Back then, this garrison left at least hundreds of troops.

Excluding those who died in the final explosion, the number of those who endured other hardships and turned into undead is at least 60 to 100.

Because during the final days, there wasn’t just an explosion; those revived Lion Skeleton Knights all wore tattered battle armor, with bones marked by sword scars, further confirming his previous thoughts.

That is, the Era consisted of many trials, with the explosion just being the most apparent one.

For the above reasons, Zong Shen was so certain there must be more undead deeper in the ruins.

If his speculation was wrong, then he could just make up another excuse.

Just say that those Lion Skeleton Knights might have run away on their own.

After all, Baron Bezos couldn’t grasp the situation here.

With a plan in mind, Zong Shen became much more calm.

His words weren’t without reason.

The current exploration progress is only about 50%.

It’s barely halfway done.

Baron Bezos could only nod, placing his hopes on the yet-to-be-excavated places.

...

The excavation work continued until the early morning.

To ensure safety and basic rest.

Baron Bezos ordered a halt to the excavation, having the laborers return to the surface along the passage.

Zong Shen also put away the two Magic Energy Drilling Machines.

He and Baron Bezos, with their respective warriors, were responsible for the rearguard.

Though no dangers emerged in the cavern, Baron Bezos wouldn’t have everyone rest in the ruins, regardless of arranging shifts for night watch.

Should the Lion Skeleton Knights suddenly attack, it would undoubtedly cause significant casualties.

Zong Shen naturally had no objections to this.

Eight to nine hours of excavation had left the laborers very tired.

The pace of their march considerably slowed down as a result.

It took over an hour for everyone to return to the mountaintop from the ruins.

At midnight, strong winds howled across the mountaintop.

Due to the altitude, with no trees surrounding the cliffs to block the wind.

The wind could sweep through unimpeded.

The makeshift tents set up earlier became resting places for the laborers and Bang City State Warriors.

Under the strong wind, they flapped noisily.

Fortunately, the tent poles were reinforced by supply boxes.

Baron Bezos’s sleeping arrangement was also simple, but much better than the others’.

He assembled four supply boxes to form a bed, covered with several layers of soft fur.

This bed couldn’t compare to a castle’s, but it was certainly better than sleeping on the ground.

Zong Shen and Wenresa slept beside Eagle.

Eagle, with its body over ten meters long, lay on its side, its wings folded in to create a small windbreak.

Everyone lay beside it.

Zong Shen was a bit bolder, lying directly on its hind leg.

It was like a lion’s hind leg, smoother despite having scales.

A night of coping, and it would be over!

...

The next day, around seven in the morning.

Baron Bezos was already awake.

Compared to Zong Shen, he cared more about the excavation progress.

He was eager to turn the entire ruins upside down in a day.

Under his mobilization, all the laborers and Bang City State Warriors woke up one after another.

The warriors were in fairly good shape, but the laborers were extremely exhausted.

Digging was never an easy task.

Their constitution couldn’t match that of the warriors.

After only six hours of rest, they were somewhat drowsy.

The mountaintop was filled with yawns.

Seeing this, Baron Bezos gave a temporary pep talk.

”Listen up, everyone.”

”Let’s do a good job today and aim to finish all work tonight.”

”As an incentive, as long as the excavation task is completed tonight, everyone will receive a one-time payment of 20 dinars!”

”Counting yesterday, that’s 25 dinars, and on your return trip tomorrow you will be paid 5 dinars per day, so that’s already 30 dinars!”

He decided to use money as motivation.

Earning 30 dinars in two or three days was equivalent to nearly a month’s income for these laborers.

Equivalent to a menial maid’s one and a half month’s salary.
