Global Lords: I Have Information System

Global warming provided by Red Star News has led to a large amount of carbon dioxide being absorbed by the ocean, causing the acidity of seawater to rise sharply.

However, paleontologists have discovered in the fossil sediments of the Paleocene-Eocene that in seawater near the equator at approximately 38 degrees, small organic organisms called dinoflagellates, which cause ”red tides,” began to proliferate massively.

Marine survey ship research provided by Red Star News is being conducted in the Baltic Sea.

Currently, water bodies in different regions worldwide are dealing with similar situations: hundreds of so-called ”dead zones” have been recorded globally, including locations such as the Gulf of Mexico and the Baltic Sea, facing the risk of reverting to the ”PETM period.”

Experts say the current rate of carbon emissions is unprecedented.

In fact, scientists often use the PETM period as a benchmark to compare modern climate change. However, studies indicate that due to the speed of current global warming surpassing any climate event after the extinction of dinosaurs, our pace at catching up with this benchmark is faster than previously expected.

Provided by Red Star News, global warming has intensified, accelerating the melting of ice in Antarctica.

A study published in 2019 revealed that the rate at which humans now emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere is 9 to 10 times that of the PETM period 56 million years ago. Research indicates that if carbon emissions continue to rise, the total amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere from the time humans began using fossil fuels up until 2159 could be equivalent to the total amount released during the PETM period.

Gabriel Bowen, a geophysicist at the University of Utah, states, ”If everything goes as usual, even with the PETM as a reference background, the current rate of carbon emissions is unprecedented. Therefore, in understanding how Earth responds to such changes, we don’t have many geological examples to refer to.”

Editor’s Note: The mainstream method for diagnosing mental problems in the medical field currently is to use checklist systems, where clinical doctors compare patients’ reported experiences against a list of symptoms to determine the type of disease. However, the symptoms of depression and anxiety share many similarities, making it difficult for both patients and professional doctors to distinguish between these two diseases. Considering that the medications for treating these diseases are similar, failing to distinguish between them doesn’t have much impact on treatment outcomes. Nevertheless, scientists are actively exploring this domain, attempting to refine the classification of diseases to provide tailored treatment plans for patients. This article is translated from Medium; the original author is Erman Misirlisoy, PhD, titled ”Is It Depression, or Is It Anxiety?”, and aims to inspire you.

How do anxiety and depression start, and how do they end?

In 2017, the World Health Organization estimated that 4.4% of people globally (over 300 million people) suffer from depression, and 3.6% (over 250 million people) suffer from anxiety. However, a fact complicates this matter: many people who have symptoms of depression also have symptoms of anxiety, and vice versa. This makes it challenging to reliably diagnose and distinguish these two diseases.

The mainstream method for diagnosing mental problems currently is to use checklist systems such as the latest version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5). Clinical doctors compare patients’ reported experiences with a list of symptoms. If a person persistently exhibits symptoms like depressive feelings and a sense of worthlessness, they may be diagnosed with major depressive disorder. If a person commonly experiences persistent anxiety and irritability, they may be diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. However, looking at these criteria for each disease, it’s not hard to find a lot of commonalities. For instance, both depression and anxiety hinder living activities, disrupt sleep, and consume personal energy.

The primary difference between these two diseases lies in the basic state of a person’s emotions: extreme sadness can be defined as depression, while extreme fear or worry can be defined as anxiety. But we can also easily see the connection between them. When people feel sad about their lives and past experiences, they also feel anxious about the direction of their future lives. When they feel anxious about the future, they simultaneously feel sad about their current life.

Due to significant overlaps in symptoms of anxiety and depression, and because patients can display the same symptoms for different reasons, clinical doctors need to consider the overall situation when making diagnostic decisions. Huck says, ”DSM diagnoses of depression or anxiety (or both) must take into account the entire clinical situation, rather than any particular symptom or sign.” Most people diagnosed with anxiety or depression also seem to have symptoms of other diseases. As Rother states, ”Comorbidity is the norm.”

According to media reports cited by Kuai Technology, recently at the Tesla 2021 shareholder meeting held in Austin, Texas, Musk discussed with reporters his new goal of establishing a city with 1 million residents on Mars and building a Tesla factory there by 2050 through SpaceX.

Musk stated that Tesla’s first extraterrestrial factory may take many years, and although the development over the next 40 years is uncertain, he hopes to see it on Mars before he passes away. Additionally, Musk mentioned that after Tesla’s factories in Austin and Berlin along with existing factories in Fremont, California, and Shanghai are completed and operational, new factories may also be built.

The 19th Party Congress report proposed that more middle vocational students receive better and higher-level vocational education. With the release of the ”National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Plan” at the beginning of 2019, vocational education and ordinary education have been clearly defined as having equal important status.

As of September 2020, Chengdu City had 87 secondary vocational schools, with 184,000 students enrolled. Among them, the ”double certificate” rate for vocational graduates reached 83.8%, and the employment rate was maintained above 98%. The export and success of vocational students have been given layered attention from the central to local levels.
