Celestial Night Emperor

Chapter 150: Chapter 150: Da Xia Is Unworthy of Acquiring Us

Qin Tianxuan spoke with Taichu for a while. After hearing his report on how Fatty Yang had been handled, he rushed back to Shenghua Hospital without delay.

The negotiations for the acquisition of Shenghua Hospital were to be held on the top floor of the main administration building.

Lingsu, dressed in white and carrying a folder of documents, met up with him, and they proceeded to the negotiation room.

”Shenghua Hospital is giving us the cold shoulder, but the truth is, they’re in a tight spot financially. They’ve been wanting to sell this hospital for a long time!”

”Then why won’t they sell to us?”

”Sigh... Sir, you don’t know. Their representative said that Da Xia People aren’t worthy of acquiring a hospital owned by the Bruce Clan. They’ll only sell to other foreign buyers!”

Qin Tianxuan stopped in his tracks, his expression darkening. ”Didn’t you tell them? This is Da Xia Land. Here, they answer to us!”

”Sir, they’re just looking down on us. There are two other foreign buyers who also want to acquire the Shenghua Hospital brand!”

”And what’s most infuriating is that the director from the Jinling Foreign Business Institute looks down on our own people, too!”

The director of the Foreign Business Institute was currently sitting proudly in the conference room, glancing at his designer watch every so often. ”What’s the deal with this Dongshen Financial Group? Do they think this is Su City? They might be able to call the shots in Su City, but once they’re in my Great Jinling, they have to play by our rules!”

Seated with him were various prominent figures from Jinling.

There were also many reporters from media outlets of the same ilk.

They were all sneering. ”A small company from Su City... they have no idea about the rules and customs here in Jinling! Su City is decent enough, I suppose, but compared to Great Jinling, it’s just a minor town.”

As they chatted, the sound of approaching footsteps was heard.

A foreigner entered from the opposite side of the room, flanked by a group of assistants and underlings, a cold expression on his face.

The director of the Foreign Business Institute shot to his feet, bowing and scraping as he scurried over. ”Little Bruce, we’ve received your complaint. You see? I brought all these people here to help you resolve this issue!”

Little Bruce spoke in stilted Chinese, ”This is an insult to our Bruce Clan! I have already made my position clear. Shenghua Hospital is a treasure bestowed upon us by God, and it will never be sold to some small-time Da Xia merchant!”

”Yes, yes! The Shenghua brand in Jinling has such a stellar reputation precisely because it’s a foreign-owned private hospital!”

”We all know that foreign-owned hospitals have superior medical care. They may be expensive, but they get the job done.”

The portly director grinned with a subservient and fawning smile.

Little Bruce was very pleased and condescended to shake his hand. ”What’s your name? Well said.”

”I’m the newly appointed director in charge of foreign business affairs. I hope you’ll look out for me in the future. My name is Zhang Chao, just a minor official.”

”Hm. Mr. Zhang, I’ll do you a favor and wait for the person in charge of Dongshen Financial Group to arrive. But as for acquiring us? Heh, that’s impossible! Because he isn’t worthy!”

Little Bruce sat back down, still looking impatient.

The portly director, Zhang Chao, turned back around, his posture immediately straightening. He waved his hand dismissively. ”Call that Dongshen Financial Group right now! Give them ten minutes. If they’re not here by then, tell them to get lost!”

Before the call could be made, Qin Tianxuan entered with Lingsu.

The two of them had witnessed the entire scene from the doorway. Lingsu was so angry she was livid.

Qin Tianxuan, however, looked perfectly calm. He stepped inside and announced his identity, ”I’m the one in charge of negotiations for Dongshen Financial Group. My surname is Qin.”

The unscrupulous media members around the room paid them no mind, and the various Jinling business magnates just shot them sidelong glances before resuming their own conversations.

The portly Zhang Chao started putting on his official airs. ”Come here and verify your identity first. Then, wait outside. I have to ask the Bruce Clan what they think. Dongshen Financial Group couldn’t even bother to send a CEO? Are you looking down on our esteemed foreign guests?”

Qin Tianxuan slowly walked over and glanced at Zhang Chao. ”Giving me orders? Who the hell do you think you are?”

Zhang Chao flew into a rage.

’A pissant company like this dares to throw a tantrum in front of me?’

In a flash, he snatched a nearby teacup and hurled its contents at Qin Tianxuan.

Even Lingsu was shocked that the scoundrel could be so brazen.

Qin Tianxuan dodged it with ease, but some of the tea splashed onto the hem of Lingsu’s clothes.

Tea leaves and dregs littered the floor.

Lingsu, a neat freak, recoiled, disgustedly trying to wipe her clothes clean.

”Hah, you think that’s dirty?” Zhang Chao’s temper flared. ”Men! Soak her!”

His cronies snickered as they came forward, hurling more tea at her.

The frothy tea and wet leaves splattered all the way to the doorway.

Qin Tianxuan had already pulled Lingsu back out of the room.

Zhang Chao roared with laughter. ”That’s right! You’re not even worthy of setting foot in here! Let me make this clear: anyone who offends the Bruce Clan offends my Jinling Foreign Business Institute! Fuck, our bonuses depend on attracting foreign investment!”

Bonuses!

Credit!

Keeping foreign investors happy was a major accomplishment! It meant promotions and riches!

This was the real reason for Zhang Chao’s despicable behavior!

Qin Tianxuan silently watched the crowd laughing hysterically inside.

Strangely, he wasn’t angry anymore.

Because there’s no point in getting angry at a pile of trash.

”Sir, they’re despicable! If this were the Northern Domain, I’d have executed this pack of foreign-worshipping bastards on the spot!”

A murderous glint even appeared in Lingsu’s eyes.

Qin Tianxuan patted her shoulder comfortingly, then took out his phone and made a call.

Then, he enunciated every single word, ”In the name of the Night Emperor, by the authority of Celestial Hall, I command all personnel in Jinling involved with foreign commerce to assemble immediately on the top floor of Shenghua Hospital! I don’t care what they’re doing. They will be here!”
