Celestial Night Emperor

Chapter 113: Chapter 113: A Farce

Oh my god!

Qin Niannian is the daughter of the chairman of the Dongshen Financial Group!

And Han Biwei... Han Biwei is even more terrifying. She... she’s the wife of Dongshen Financial Group’s Chairman Qin!

That means the office behind the screen must have been built specifically for Han Biwei.

So... so...

Ms. Zhang’s delicate face had turned as white as a sheet.

Her lips trembled. She suddenly shrieked and pointed at Teacher Chen. ”It was all her! She was the one who insisted our parent-teacher association gift her a pair of designer high heels! I had no choice but to ask Madam Han to help buy them.”

Teacher Chen was stunned.

She couldn’t believe this bitch, Zhang, had just thrown her under the bus.

In a flash, Teacher Chen rushed forward, grabbed Ms. Zhang by the hair, and started hitting her. ”You bitch! You were the one who used the parent-teacher association’s name to buy them for me! All those gifts you’ve been giving me lately, weren’t they all from you? You did it so I’d take special care of your son!”

The two women began to brawl!

From behind them, Alice stepped out and said coldly, ”Stop it! Let me ask you two, who broke the shoes Madam bought? Those were the limited edition Black Diamond Magic High Heels. They cost six million. Now, which one of you is going to pay for them?”

What!

Those drab-looking high heels were actually worth six million?

Black diamond!

A top-tier black diamond luxury item?

Teacher Chen let out a wail, clutching her head as she burst into tears. ”I... I didn’t know! I thought they were some cheap knock-offs, so... so I threw them downstairs.”

”Then you’ll be the one to pay for them,” Alice said coldly. ”If you can’t afford it, I’ll go directly to your school!”

Teacher Chen was terrified.

Six million. How could she possibly afford that?

’My cousin is the secretary to a government official,’ the hysterical woman thought, looking at him with pleading eyes. ’He has to help me, right?’

But the Governor’s secretary just turned his head away, his legs trembling, pretending not to know her.

Unfortunately for him, Chen Hai had heard everything loud and clear.

Governor Chen grabbed his secretary by the collar and dragged him aside. ”You’ve worked for me for years, so you know my temper. Speak! Did you or did you not give this crazy woman special favors? What have you done for her using your position?”

The secretary was so terrified he almost fell to his knees.

”Getting... getting her into Tianjiao Primary School... I... I was the one who pulled the strings for that. Other than that, I... I really didn’t do anything else!”

Chen Hai’s gaze was icy. ”With her acting like a shrew, what right or ability did she have to become a teacher in an advanced class at Tianjiao Primary School? Wasn’t it because of the connections you have behind the scenes? And your connections rely on my name!”

The secretary started to cry. ”I’m sorry, Sir! I was wrong!”

Chen Hai’s expression was grim. ”You think a simple ’I was wrong’ is enough? Go back and resign. Out of consideration for your many years of service, I’ll arrange a post for you in some rural township. I don’t want to see you ever again!”

A chill ran through the secretary. In that moment, he was dying of regret.

’She’s just a cousin from back home, and she’s completely ruined me!’

He gritted his teeth, rushed over to the hysterical woman, and slapped her face repeatedly.

Teacher Chen’s eyes were vacant. She bowed and apologized over and over, her words becoming an incoherent mumble.

Finally, she plopped down onto the floor, pointed at Ms. Zhang, and sobbed, ”It was actually her! She didn’t want Mr. Qin’s daughter to get into the advanced class, so she stirred up all this trouble.”

All eyes turned to Ms. Zhang.

Ms. Zhang’s face was a ghastly mix of pale and green. She trembled and stammered, ”I... I’m not that kind of person. You... you can’t bully a lone woman like me.”

She still couldn’t bring herself to swallow her pride; she was too used to being in charge.

’Besides, this is the Dongshen Financial Group, not my own company. What’s there to be afraid of?’

Seeing the hostile looks on the faces of the executives, Ms. Zhang finally erupted. ”I’m warning you! I’m the Executive Vice President of the Golden Sparrow Silver Alliance, understand? The Silver Alliance! All of you business types have to answer to us!”

What?

From the back of the crowd, the head of the Golden Sparrow Silver Alliance, who had rushed over from the Imperial Capital, grew furious.

He stepped forward. ”Which Silver Alliance’s vice president are you? The Su City branch?”

Ms. Zhang had never had the chance to meet the head of the entire organization. She looked at him askance. ”And who are you? Is this any of your business?”

The head of the Silver Alliance snorted angrily and took out his phone. ”Get me Zhao Daqian from the Su City Silver Alliance branch! Tell him that I, Jin, am right here, and one of his vice presidents, a Ms. Zhang, has offended me!”

Those were heavy words.

Before long, Chairman Zhao of the Golden Sparrow Silver Alliance came scrambling over. He bowed repeatedly to the old man. ”I’m so sorry, truly sorry! I honestly don’t know any vice president named Zhang! Who is she? Please, tell me, sir, and I’ll deal with it immediately!”

The head of the Golden Sparrow Silver Alliance gave a dry laugh and pointed at Ms. Zhang. ”This one, right here. She’s been doing quite a lot in the Silver Alliance’s name. You tell me, what should be done?”

Chairman Zhao turned to look. ’Holy shit,’ he thought. ’It’s that damned woman. She’s just some woman from a partner company of the Silver Alliance. She calls herself a vice president, but she’s really just a gofer.’

”Zhang, when did you become a vice president of our Silver Alliance? I’m the one in charge here, and even I didn’t know about it!” Chairman Zhao hissed through clenched teeth.

Ms. Zhang’s mouth hung open, her tongue suddenly feeling thick and useless. With a cry of despair, she collapsed to the floor, just like Teacher Chen, trembling too much to stand back up.

”I’m sorry, I was wrong!” All of Ms. Zhang’s arrogance had vanished.

Now, like a complete idiot, she couldn’t stop begging for mercy.

She knew what her fate would be!

Losing the partnership with the Golden Sparrow Silver Alliance meant her so-called ”Vice President” title would be gone instantly.

After that, she, Ms. Zhang, would no longer have any status whatsoever.

What could she do?

In that moment, Ms. Zhang desperately wanted to kneel before Han Biwei, to kowtow and beg for forgiveness.

But no one was going to give her that chance.

”Drag her out! Don’t let her disgust everyone here!” the head of the Golden Sparrow Silver Alliance commanded with a fierce wave of his hand.

As the security guards dragged her away, Ms. Zhang shrieked, ”It wasn’t my idea to frame Madam Han! It was that guy Niu who came up with the rotten plan! I’ve been framed...!”

Her voice grew fainter and fainter until it disappeared completely.

Back in the room, Brother Niu, the only remaining member of the parent-teacher association, rolled his eyes. ’Heh, that damn woman. Trying to drag me down with her as she goes. But it looks like she made a mistake. I’m not afraid of anything!’
