Mafia Lord's Mute Sweetheart

Chapter 130: Chapter 130 He really noticed everything

Jafer’s Romani Restaurant was the nearest decent restaurant Alessio could think of.

It wasn’t the most luxurious place in the city. But it was elegant and private, where people could have conversations without being overheard, where the lighting was soft and the atmosphere was good.

Perfect.

The black car rolled to a smooth stop in front of the entrance.

Before Daisy could even reach for the handle, Alessio had already stepped out. He walked around the front of the car with his usual unhurried stride and opened the passenger door for her himself.

Daisy looked up at him, surprised. She smiled and gave him a small nod.

Thank you.

Before she could gesture any further, Alessio spoke first.

”...I know.”

A tiny laugh appeared in Daisy’s eyes. She obediently stepped out of the car, her rose-red dress flowing around her knees as she moved.

Not far from the entrance, one of the restaurant’s security guards froze. His eyes widened almost imperceptibly.

Mr. Ricci...

He recognized that face instantly. Months ago, he had witnessed something he wished he could forget. A business meeting had somehow turned into complete chaos. The private room had erupted into violence. Furniture had been overturned. The floor had been stained with blood.

By the time the police arrived, one man had never walked out alive. And through it all, Alessio Ricci had remained frighteningly calm. Those cold green eyes that made everyone’s blood run cold.

Even the police hadn’t dared to do anything to him. He was that powerful.

Ever since then, the guard had never dared look at him directly again. He avoided eye contact, kept his head down, and prayed the man would never notice him.

Today, seeing the infamous Alessio Ricci standing at the entrance, holding a car door open for a young woman, the guard questioned whether he was looking at the same person.

His shock deepened.

Alessio didn’t spare him a single glance. It was as though he didn’t even exist. Instead, his attention remained entirely on Daisy.

As they walked toward the entrance, Alessio noticed the polished glassy marble floor reflecting the warm lights overhead. It was beautiful but also slippery. The kind of floor that looked stunning but could easily cause someone to lose their footing.

Without saying a word, he gently reached for Daisy’s hand. His large fingers wrapped lightly around hers.

”Careful. The floor is slippery.”

Daisy looked down at their joined hands. Then back up at him. Her cheeks turned a delicate shade of pink.

She nodded shyly. She hadn’t even noticed the floor. Her heart warmed at his thoughtfulness.

He really noticed everything.

Alessio naturally led her inside.

The hostess immediately recognized him and respectfully guided them toward one of the restaurant’s private dining rooms. Her posture was deferential, her voice soft.

The moment the door opened, Daisy’s eyes lit up.

One entire wall was made of glass. Beyond it lay a beautifully designed garden. Warm golden lights illuminated rows of carefully trimmed plants and flowering shrubs, making the greenery glow softly against the evening sky. A small fountain shone beneath the lights, its gentle ripples creating a peaceful atmosphere.

Daisy slowly walked toward the window. Her eyes sparkled with childlike wonder.

This was... beautiful.

She had never been to a place like this before. The soft glow, the quiet fountain, the gentle rustle of leaves. It felt like stepping into a dream.

Alessio watched her quietly.

She wasn’t impressed by expensive furniture or luxurious decorations. A softly lit garden was enough to make her this happy.

For some reason, he found that incredibly endearing.

A waiter entered the room carrying two menus. The moment he looked up, his face stiffened.

”Good evening, Mr. Ricci.”

His voice was respectful, careful and nervous.

Alessio gave a small nod. Nothing more.

The waiter quickly placed the menus on the table. Without even looking at his own, Alessio picked one up and placed it in front of Daisy.

”Choose anything you like.”

His voice was calm. ”Just point at whatever you want.”

Daisy blinked. Then looked at him.

She hesitated for a moment before slowly opening the menu. Every page made her eyes grow wider.

There were so many dishes she had never even heard of. Strange names. Fancy descriptions. Ingredients she couldn’t pronounce.

She looked adorably confused. Her finger hovered uncertainly over one item before moving to another. Then another. She bit her lower lip thoughtfully.

Alessio rested his chin lightly against his hand, watching her with quiet amusement.

He didn’t rush her or offer suggestions. He simply waited, enjoying the way her brow furrowed in concentration, the way her lips moved silently as she read the descriptions.

She looked so serious about something so simple. It was charming.

Daisy carefully looked through the menu for nearly a full minute.

The more she turned the pages, the more confused she became. Every dish had a fancy name she had never heard before. Some had ingredients she couldn’t even pronounce. Words like ”confit” and ”reduction” and ”coulis” stared back at her like a foreign language.

She quietly glanced up at Alessio. Then back at the menu. Then back at him.

Finally, her shoulders drooped ever so slightly. She made the tiniest little pout, her lower lip jutting out just a fraction.

Alessio noticed immediately.

”What is it?”

Daisy slowly raised both hands. With an adorably troubled expression, she gestured,

I... don’t know what to order.

She looked almost apologetic. As though she had somehow failed at reading a menu.

Alessio blinked. Then, unexpectedly, a low chuckle escaped him.

He reached over and gently pulled the menu toward himself. ”Alright. I’ll order for both of us.”

Daisy’s eyes instantly brightened. She nodded enthusiastically without the slightest hesitation.

Okay!

There wasn’t even a hint of doubt in her expression. She trusted him completely.

For some reason, that realization made Alessio’s heart soften.

He signaled the waiter over. Without even opening the menu again, he began ordering calmly.

”We’ll have the grilled herb chicken. The truffle mushroom risotto. One roasted vegetable platter. And fresh bread.”

The waiter quickly noted everything down.

Alessio paused before glancing at Daisy. ”You don’t dislike mushrooms, do you?”
