Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

208: ParticipationFrom what Su Jixing said, the director sensed that Lu Qingyu didn’t seem to want to participate in the entire program.

He knew that many fans online were messaging singers on Weibo and through private messages, begging them to join the show. Perhaps Lu Qingyu was also forced by his fans’ persistence, especially since he was currently ranked number one on the ”Most Requested Singers” list.

The director guessed that Lu Qingyu just wanted a one-day stint on the show, so he asked uncertainly:

”There’s still a month left before our program ends. If Qingyu succeeds in his challenge, I wonder if he’ll be able to participate in the subsequent episodes?”

Su Jixing: ”Of course, but we only have this one request: he won’t participate in rehearsals or previews, only the competition on the day of the show. This applies even to the grand finale. I wonder if you can agree to that, Director?”

Su Jixing’s confidence came from Lu Qingyu. If it were any other singer he had managed before, he wouldn’t have dared to make such an arrogant request to the director. But because it was Lu Qingyu, he did.

Moreover, Su Jixing had to state the requirements clearly to prevent the Program Production Team from labeling Lu Qingyu as arrogant and uncooperative later on if he didn’t have time for rehearsals.

Within just two seconds, the director’s brain was burning with thought, and then he immediately agreed.

”Fine, as long as Qingyu can come and participate in the show, I agree to all of this.”

Having received the desired answer, Su Jixing gave a knowing smile.

”Then please send me a copy of the contract, Director. If there are no issues after I review it, we can sign it directly online.”

The director hung up the phone and immediately told his assistant to modify the contract.

The assistant pulled out the contract template and modified it according to the director’s instructions.

”Director, if he doesn’t participate in rehearsals and previews, does Lu Qingyu just want a one-day stint on the show?”

The assistant had the same thought as the director.

Director: ”That’s not important. What’s important is that he comes to compete.”

The director wanted to show the audience that he had invited everyone they wanted; the rest depended on their own performance. If they performed poorly, the blame shouldn’t fall entirely on him.

It was already 2:00 AM when Su Jixing received the contract. He decided to rest first and wait until he woke up the next morning to handle it.

During the five or six hours he was resting, the director was waiting on his end for the contract to be finalized.

Throughout the process, the director was incredibly anxious, fearing that Lu Qingyu might have a change of heart at the last minute and not join the show.

Finally, six hours later, he received the contract with Lu Qingyu’s electronic signature.

The director breathed a long sigh of relief and stood up. Although the show hadn’t started yet and the outcome was unknown, he felt a strange sense of vindication.

After arranging the show, Su Jixing notified Lu Qingyu and then booked a flight for the day after tomorrow.

Before heading back to participate in the show, Lu Qingyu began frantically working on film and television production plans.

Normally, the theatrical release period for a film is one month.

According to Lu Qingyu’s plan, he would spend the first half of the year filming movies and TV series and release them all in the second half. To dominate theaters and television stations, he would need at least six movies and two series.

Therefore, he planned to start three Project Teams simultaneously to film movies. The staff from Magic Paradise alone wouldn’t be enough, so he intended to transfer people from Qingcheng Entertainment.

With each movie taking three months to film and three Project Teams working at once, they could finish six movies in the first half of the year, leaving plenty of time for the two television projects.

Now, the only thing missing was what to film.

He searched through the popular movies from his past life, with Marvel being at the forefront, followed by DC, Disney, transformers, Star Wars, and so on.

Marvel had become famous through comics before being adapted into movies. Lu Qingyu specifically searched online for terms related to the films he wanted to make to ensure that things from his previous world didn’t overlap with this one.

To his surprise, not only were there no such movies in this world, but there weren’t even any such comics.

This was truly a wonderful surprise!

Marvel, the perpetual motion machine of the sci-fi movie world—he would take this massive superhero market for himself.

The six movies Lu Qingyu planned to start were Spider-Man, iron man, Thor, transformers, Batman: Dark World, and frozen to conquer the children’s market.

For the two TV series, he chose gotham and the boys.

Having made up his mind, Lu Qingyu got to work.

Since these would be original works in this world, he had to complete all the scripts by himself.

It was time for Lu Qingyu to work himself to the bone.

game of thrones was a massive hit. With its high-quality content, exquisite cinematography, and legendary story, even minor characters who just made brief appearances were well-known to everyone.

When Emilia’s Dragon Mother appeared, with her silver-white hair and ethereal face, she looked like an elf, making people want to worship her.

Thanks to the role of the Dragon Mother, Emilia’s followers on Instagram surged by 3 million, and her popularity with the public skyrocketed.

Today was another gathering of Emilia’s small circle. Usually, Charlotte was the last to arrive at these gatherings, but today someone was even later than her.

Emilia had been very busy lately. Since playing the Dragon Mother, she had received constant film and television offers, all of which were top-tier opportunities.

Charlotte had set her sights on the female lead role in a big-budget movie. She had gone out to eat and drink with the Producer more than ten times, and the role was originally going to be hers. However, after the film’s director saw Emilia’s performance as the Dragon Mother, he insisted that Emilia play the female lead.

This infuriated Charlotte; she couldn’t understand how Emilia had gotten so lucky.

She had worked so hard to leave Emilia behind, yet with just one show, game of thrones, Emilia had not only overtaken her but had also leaped to become an A-list star.

Emilia arrived late to today’s dinner, and Charlotte naturally assumed she was putting on airs on purpose.

Emilia greeted everyone warmly. While the others were chatting and laughing with her, Charlotte made a snide remark.

”I’m afraid our gathering will be missing one person from now on. Emilia is so famous now, she probably won’t want to hang out with us anymore.”

The expression of the actress who was chatting with Emilia stiffened; they all knew Charlotte always liked to make things difficult for Emilia.

Emilia didn’t respond but instead sat down.

”Long time no see, Charlotte. It seems you’ve been quite free lately.”

Hearing the word ”free,” Charlotte’s temper flared instantly.

”Are you mocking me?”

In the past, Emilia always seemed indifferent to competition and was generally easygoing. Whenever Charlotte mocked her, whether openly or subtly, Emilia would always pretend not to understand.

Charlotte originally thought it would be the same this time—that if she were aggressive enough, Emilia would either stay silent or back down.

However, what Emilia said next surprised everyone.

”Yes, you’re exactly right.”
