Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

203: Charity GalaHe had originally just wanted to offer a friendly sponsorship to the young Lu Qingyu, but he hadn’t expected such a massive return.

This young man was truly magical; he was full of surprises.

Kane Bailey approved the sales manager’s pre-sale and then had someone contact their own factory to prepare for the production of this bicycle.

Lu Qingyu was very satisfied with these results; they didn’t let down his heavy investment in the film.

No one was more furious than Charlotte, who hadn’t expected game of thrones to become such a massive hit.

The DM Charity Gala was a very important event in the United States. Westerners loved doing charity, and entrepreneurs placed great importance on it because it brought them a good reputation.

The DM Gala invited elites from all walks of life, with an estimated 500 invitations sent out.

As the owner of the currently hit TV series game of thrones, Lu Qingyu naturally received one as well.

Su Jixing looked at the invitation from all angles. He had heard of the DM Charity Gala back when he was in China; Hollywood’s best actors and actresses could be seen everywhere there.

Su Jixing really wanted to see it for himself: ”Boss, are you going?”

This kind of high-quality, large-scale social scene was the best place to build connections. Since Lu Qingyu had nothing else to do, he figured it wouldn’t hurt to go and take a look.

”I’ll go. Since I don’t have anything else on my plate right now, it’ll be good to check it out.”

Su Jixing: ”Boss, can you take me with you?”

Lu Qingyu: ”Of course I have to take you. Not only are you my Agent, but you’re also the director of my company. You’ll need to deal with them for many business matters in the future.”

Su Jixing happily helped Lu Qingyu reply to the DM Gala’s email.

In Beverly Hills, a group of entertainment industry moguls gathered inside a house to drink.

One of the moguls, William, lit a cigar, took a puff, and slowly blew out a smoke ring.

”What is everyone thinking? Let’s talk about it together.”

After William spoke, the rest of them exchanged glances and didn’t hold back, saying directly:

”William, the current European and American film and television market was developed bit by bit by us. We can’t let an outsider benefit from it.”

This ”outsider” referred to Lu Qingyu.

These moguls had previously invited Lu Qingyu, but he hadn’t attended, which they viewed as a provocation.

Magic Paradise was no longer the obscure film company it once was. Its movie, avatar, had seized billions in box office revenue, and now game of thrones had such strong momentum. Not only did it break the previous viewership records for TV series, but the record he set now would be hard for other film companies to surpass.

The company that produced the mind controller, the series Morgan had invested advertisements in, was William’s veteran company, Warner.

Warner had dominated the film industry for over twenty years, and its leading position would not allow anyone to shake it.

Especially since this person was Asian.

William nodded, expressing his agreement with the speaker.

The series game of thrones had caused his own the mind controller to go down the drain. He had to teach him a lesson and let him know who was really in charge here.

”So, what are everyone’s thoughts now?”

Monica was 35 years old this year, with blonde waves and a red slit dress that clung to her waist, revealing a curvaceous and proud figure. As a woman who had broken into a man’s circle, she relied not only on her looks but also on her ruthlessness.

”William, Magic Paradise has good resources and technology, especially its digital special effects, which have great prospects. Such a company shouldn’t fall into the hands of an outsider.”

”I think for the harmony of the film industry, we should take this company back.”

William looked at Monica; she had spoken exactly what was on his mind.

This company should never have been sold to Lu Qingyu. Such a promising company had actually been picked up by Lu Qingyu at a bargain. Cunning Asian.

”Magic Paradise’s current financial situation is good. It might be difficult to acquire it.”

Monica walked up to William with a bottle of wine: ”We don’t necessarily have to acquire the company; I think a capital injection would be good too.”

”Even though Lu Qingyu is an outsider, being able to plan projects like avatar and game of thrones shows he is a talent. Such talent should be used by us.”

If Lu Qingyu had heard this, he would have slapped Monica regardless of whether she was a woman or not. ”My company is doing perfectly fine, and you guys just want to come in for dividends and expect me to work for you?”

William immediately understood what Monica meant. It was a great idea. On one hand, they would control Magic Paradise, and on the other, they would have Lu Qingyu in their grasp. It was killing two birds with one stone.

William: ”So the problem now is how to get Lu Qingyu to agree to our proposal.”

Monica sat on William’s lap: ”He’ll have to agree. If he doesn’t, he’ll be blacklisted by the entire film industry. By then, no matter how great his resources are, they’ll just rot in his own company.”

William burst out laughing after hearing this: ”Monica, I’ll leave this matter to you. Go and set up a meeting with him.”

Monica replied with a smile: ”The DM Charity Gala is in two days, and I heard Lu Qingyu is going. Why don’t we take this opportunity to meet him, see who he really is, and solve our problem at the same time?”

William laughed heartily, picked Monica up, and headed toward the bedroom, with two creepy men following behind.

Two days later, at the DM Charity Gala, Lu Qingyu arrived with Su Jixing.

The gala was held at the largest resort under Kane Bailey’s ownership, and it was surrounded by reporters.

There was one path specially prepared for celebrities, while business people who didn’t like to show their faces could take another.

Lu Qingyu and Su Jixing took the other path.

From their path, they could see many celebrities dressed in magnificent gowns.

Su Jixing: ”Boss, look! It’s the Kardashians. Holy crap, the way the women in that family dress, there’s practically no difference between wearing clothes and not wearing them.”

Lu Qingyu looked in the direction Su Jixing pointed. A woman was arm-in-arm with her black husband; her outfit could only be described as a few scraps of fabric—even a bikini used more material than what she was wearing.

There really was no difference between wearing it and not wearing it.

The two of them handed their invitations to the doorman at the entrance and entered the banquet hall.
