Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

201: TV series releasedKane Bailey’s investments never go wrong, but in this situation, the Investment Recruitment Team can’t help but wonder if his brain is broken.

With all the news surrounding game of thrones fermenting, it was finally time for the premiere.

At 8:00 PM, whether they were students or white-collar workers from all walks of life, they were all glued to their television screens, wanting to see just how good this work, which had been hyped as an epic masterpiece, really was.

The show opened with a 10-second commercial. To the audience, it was just an ad, but to investors and people in the entertainment industry, this was burning dollars.

”game of thrones—the advertising fees are so outrageous, yet someone actually invested!”

”Is it because they have too much money to burn?”

They stared at the ad, wanting to see which idiot company it was. When the company logo appeared in the final two seconds, everyone was dumbfounded.

It was actually the damn Bailey Group.

Everyone was bewildered and deeply shocked.

”What does the Bailey Group mean by this? Did Magic Paradise scam them?”

”Such a legendary investor as Kane Bailey has crashed and burned here again.”

”Could this show actually be not bad?”

The commercial finished, and the show officially began.

In the cold environment at the beginning, a noble soldier and two veterans were patrolling the Wall.

Suddenly, they discovered a group of dead wildlings, their corpses arranged in eerie patterns.

A close-up camera shot pushed in on the face of a little girl hanging from a tree. She looked like a broken doll, and inside her opened eyes, one could see black pupils.

The slightly eerie atmosphere made everyone wonder: is game of thrones actually a horror movie?

This was not what the audience had expected. Listen to the name—since it’s called game of thrones, shouldn’t it be about nobles fighting for the throne?

They had never heard of an epic masterpiece that could be a horror movie.

Curiosity drove everyone to patiently keep watching. They wanted to know: is this game of thrones actually a horror movie?

On screen, one of the veterans ran back in panic to share the information with his two companions. Another veteran wanted to go back and report to his superiors, but the noble soldier who came with them arrogantly thought the two veterans were too cowardly to even look at dead bodies.

The noble soldier insisted on seeing how eerie the corpses the veteran spoke of really were. Helpless, the two veterans had no choice but to follow. Then, suddenly, White Walkers appeared and—snap—chopped the noble soldier’s head off.

This scene suddenly gave everyone a scare.

And the dead little girl who was hanging from the tree earlier appeared again.

The audience looked at the little girl’s face and instantly felt their scalps go numb.

Just as everyone was wondering what all these things were, the scene shifted, and a very magnificent opening sequence appeared, showing Kings Landing and the sigils of various great families. One could feel that this was a film with a very grand background. This part was completely different in tone from the previous one.

Everyone suddenly realized that perhaps they had used some flashback technique, and this was actually the real beginning of the show.

Then came the story of the Stark family.

Just as everyone was getting into it, the first episode ended.

The one-hour content had completely finished playing.

When the ending credits appeared, many people watching the show hadn’t even reacted yet.

It ended just like that? This is too... Stubborn viewers refused to say the word ”good,” and in the end, they substituted it with the word ”curious”.

”What were those zombie-like things earlier?”

”And that eerie little girl, will she appear again?”

”That Cersei is so annoying. She’s having an affair with her cousin and pushed the cute Bran off the tower.”

”Snow looks a bit pitiful. I hope he’ll be better later on.”

”This dwarf looks quite interesting. Why do they call him the Imp?”

Everyone said it was just average, but the level of discussion about game of thrones was anything but.

Curiosity had already been piqued; without continuing to watch, it was hard to calm their hearts.

Fortunately, this show is updated daily, so they can watch the second episode tomorrow.

At 10:00 PM, the employees of Magic Paradise were working overtime.

Actually, they could have left work at 6:00, but not a single person wanted to go home.

This show was the first film project they had worked on together, and they were very eager to know the results.

Since the employees weren’t leaving, the boss naturally couldn’t leave either.

Lu Qingyu ordered takeout for everyone, and after everyone was full, they waited for the results together.

Currently in the market, a view count of 1.5 million for a show is considered passing, 3 million is excellent, and a show that reaches 4 million basically belongs to the hit shows of the year.

And the current record for the highest view count for a show comes from a magic romance series by Warner, with 5.6 million views.

The employees prayed silently in their hearts. After all, this was their first attempt at a show. Even though they were all filming things, the pacing of a show is completely different from a movie.

Therefore, as long as they could get their view count over 1.5 million and pass, it would already be a great start for their company.

When the statistical results were available, everyone stared intently at the computer page. Lu Qingyu looked from behind; eight burly men crowded the computer desk so tightly there wasn’t a gap. Just as he was about to ask for the results, the eight burly men suddenly went crazy.

Inside the office, the room was instantly turned upside down by screams.

”4.08 million! We succeeded!”

”This result far exceeded my expectations; it’s simply amazing!”

”Boss, look quickly, our first episode’s view count today is 4.08 million!”

”If we can maintain this data, our show will definitely be a hit this year.”

Everyone was excitedly discussing the show game of thrones in the office.

Lu Qingyu looked at everyone’s happy expressions, and they finally let him see the computer. Lu Qingyu looked at the specific data.

game of thrones had a very high retention rate, reaching 90%. According to this conversion rate, tomorrow’s view count would only be higher, not lower.

It seems it will rise again tomorrow.

After these data came out, the official website of game of thrones issued a bulletin to congratulate themselves.

At the same time, they conducted the second round of advertising recruitment. The Investment Recruitment Team sent out mass emails, but the price had gone up again.

Now, for the ad slots for episodes 2 through 5, excluding the 10 seconds given to Kane Bailey, the remaining 20 seconds of advertising time cost $500,000 per second.

Advertisers didn’t expect game of thrones to be filmed so well. They indeed had the intention to insert ads before the show; after all, big hit shows don’t come around every year.

Just as they were hesitating, they scrolled to the bottom of the email and saw the $500,000-per-second ad rate, and they were so angry their noses were crooked.
