Entertainment: Wanted to Acquire the Company on the First Day of Signing

205: Is it a bet?William and his associates could dominate the film and television industry, but that was limited to just this circle; they could not compare to Kane Bailey.

Kane Bailey was a man who could dominate in any circle.

At this moment, everyone suddenly remembered that the first company to buy advertising for game of thrones was a subsidiary under Kane Bailey. Thinking about it now, they had known each other all along.

Knowing this background of Lu Qingyu, they naturally could not treat him as they had before.

William was secretly angry, but he dared not show it on his face.

It seemed there would be no way to deal with Lu Qingyu in the future.

However, they did not expect Lu Qingyu to actually mention a gamble. William and Monica looked at each other, both seeing a gleam of pleasant surprise in each other’s eyes.

Had this young man gone mad? Didn’t he know that the gamble was invented by white people like them?

It had always been them using the gamble to trap others; they hadn’t expected someone to run straight into their line of fire today.

”This is something you brought up; we didn’t force you.”

Kane Bailey frowned when he heard the word gamble.

He was very familiar with the robbery-like behavior of a gamble. There were many people in the financial world who did this. He had also gambled with others in his earlier years, but later he felt that a gamble was truly an unfair game, so he never used it again.

Lu Qingyu was too impulsive; he would undoubtedly lose if he gambled with this bunch of old foxes.

William concealed his inner surprise: ”What, does Mr. Lu want to have a gamble with us?”

Lu Qingyu: ”I do indeed have this idea, I just don’t know if Mr. William has the courage for it.”

Low laughter spread around, and some people whispered near them.

”Has this young man gone crazy? How dare he propose a gamble to William.”

”William is a genius at the gamble; how many Best Actors and Best Actresses have fallen into his hands, becoming his slaves to work for him.”

”He is the current boss of Magic Paradise, didn’t you know? Their company produced avatar and game of thrones; I think he has some talent.”

”So what? Weren’t all those people who gambled with Warner before like that? Even the Best Actors and Best Actresses with works ended up losing, didn’t they?”

”William must be overjoyed; this is a piece of fat meat delivered to his door.”

They had never seen anyone rushing to have a gamble with Warner.

Lu Qingyu: ”If Mr. William doesn’t dare, then forget it.”

”Of course I dare.”

William immediately answered Lu Qingyu, fearing that Lu Qingyu would change his mind.

Lu Qingyu: ”Mr. William, you don’t have to force yourself.”

William: ”No, no, no, not forced at all.”

”I just don’t know what you want to gamble on? What is the stake? And how much is the capital?”

Lu Qingyu: ”According to Mr. William’s thoughts, what do you think is appropriate for us to gamble on?”

William: ”When I have a gamble with someone, I usually gamble on that person’s net income within one year.”

Lu Qingyu: ”Then how much do you think is appropriate for us?”

William stroked his chin and did not speak. Currently, the most valuable artist on the market had an annual net income of 800 million USD. He wanted to set the price at 1 billion, but he was afraid that this price would scare Lu Qingyu away. If they couldn’t play, he would get nothing.

Who knew that at this moment, Monica spoke up for him: ”Since a gamble is a gamble, there must be risks, so the funds should be set at an amount that is slightly fair to both sides.”

”How about we use 1.5 billion USD net income as the stake? If Mr. Lu can exceed a net income of 1.5 billion USD within one year, you win. If your net income does not exceed 1.5 billion USD, then we win. How about that?”

Lu Qingyu deliberately did not speak, wanting to keep William and Monica hanging. 1.5 billion USD was not much to him.

The amount William and the others set was treating him as an artist, not as capital.

But what they didn’t know was that in Lu Qingyu’s eyes, he himself was the capital side.

After Monica finished speaking, William turned his head to look at Lu Qingyu’s face; he felt that the amount Monica set was a bit high.

Seeing that Lu Qingyu was hesitant, William added: ”Or we can raise the net income to 2 billion USD, but the term is two years.”

This would still be 1 billion USD per year; it sounded fairer, but in reality, the difficulty was greater because no one could guarantee that the annual income could reach 1 billion USD every year.

Kane Bailey’s expression was serious. These people wanted to bully the person he was protecting right under his nose.

Who knew that Lu Qingyu actually agreed.

Moray stood beside his father. He had been exposed to heir training courses since he was a child, and having studied beside his father for so long, he naturally knew what a gamble meant.

William’s eyebrows lifted with joy when he saw Lu Qingyu agreed.

”Then our stake...”

Lu Qingyu curled his lips: ”I am willing to put up 5 billion USD. If I lose, then this 5 billion USD will all go to Warner, and Magic Paradise will also belong to you. If I win, I want the entire Warner plus 3 billion USD in cash.”

Lu Qingyu did not ask for this price randomly; the market value difference between Magic Paradise and Warner was less than 2 billion USD. Only William and Monica knew clearly that they were the ones taking advantage.

At this time, quite a few people were already surrounding them, especially where Kane Bailey appeared; there were many elite tycoons from the business world.

After hearing Lu Qingyu’s words, the scene was in an uproar!

This kid was too daring with his words.

And 5 billion USD, did he have that much money? Was he that rich?

William was also extremely surprised when he heard this number. This kid’s appetite was really big; he actually wanted Warner.

Moray, who was beside Kane Bailey, quietly walked over to Lu Qingyu and whispered to advise him:

”Lu, calm down, this gamble is too dangerous.”

Kane Bailey did not want the young man he admired so much to be ruined by this matter:

”Everyone is here to attend the charity gala today; why not discuss any matters tomorrow.”

William saw that Kane Bailey was clearly favoring Lu Qingyu, but since he had spoken, he could not force Lu Qingyu.

”Since Mr. Bailey has said so, then...”

Lu Qingyu: ”Does Mr. William want to gamble or not.”

Unexpectedly, Lu Qingyu was still insisting. Kane Bailey wanted to emphasize the seriousness of the matter to Lu Qingyu. Lu Qingyu felt Kane Bailey’s protective heart towards him. He walked to Kane Bailey’s side and whispered a few words in his ear; no one knew what he said, but Kane Bailey stopped speaking.

William: ”I naturally want to, but, can Mr. Lu come up with 5 billion?”

William questioned Lu Qingyu’s strength; he was not sure if Lu Qingyu could scrape together 5 billion from industries other than Magic Paradise.

At this moment, Kane Bailey spoke: ”I am willing to be his guarantor.”

William’s eyes lit up. He trusted Kane Bailey’s reputation. If Lu Qingyu couldn’t pay back the 5 billion, then Kane Bailey would definitely pay it back for him when the time came.
