Chapter 580: Chapter 580: Grenade Destroys the Saint Realm_1

But Liu Chuan Mingyi was in a terrible state. Even though he was a Saint Realm fighter, he wasn’t an immortal nor did he have an indestructible body.

Facing the force of a grenade explosion, it was difficult to fully defend himself, and since he was at the epicenter, he suffered the greatest damage.

His body was sent flying immediately, crashing against a wall before falling to the ground, coughing up blood. An arm had been blown off, and his body had been hit by the explosive energy.

Fortunately, he managed to use his True Qi to form a protective shield around himself at the last moment, withstanding the shockwave produced by the grenade’s explosion, or else he might have been blown to pieces by now.

Despite that, he now looked exceedingly wretched, not only was his body severely wounded, with an arm lost and his abdominal injuries splitting open again, bleeding profusely—it was truly injury upon injury.

For a Semi-Saint Realm fighter to fall to such a state was indeed lamentable; all this could only be blamed on Ye Luo being too cunning.

”It seems carrying a grenade wasn’t a mistake after all,” Ye Luo said as he got up, looking at Liu Chuan Mingyi’s miserable state.

Knowing that a formidable opponent like Liu Chuan Mingyi was hiding in Ginza, he carried a grenade as a precaution, thinking it might be useful in a desperate situation. It turned out to be truly useful.

Ye Luo, holding the Lingyun Sword, walked towards Liu Chuan Mingyi with a cold smile on his lips.

”What’s a Saint Realm fighter good for if they can still be killed by a single grenade?”

”You... despicable...” Liu Chuan Mingyi looked at Ye Luo, his expression filled with rage and unwillingness. With his strength, he should have been able to crush Ye Luo, but he hadn’t expected such a tragic end.

”You a Saint Realm third level master fighting against a kid in the Innate Realm, isn’t that despicable? Moreover, you people from the Island Country have no right to speak of despicability, for you are the most despicable,” retorted Ye Luo coldly, and with a swing of his Lingyun Sword, he finished off Liu Chuan Mingyi.

Then, Ye Luo headed toward the top level. At this moment, Ruo Bing’s voice came through Ye Luo’s earpiece.

”How are you handling things, Ye Luo? The Island Country’s government has gotten the news, and there is a military force heading towards the Ginza building. They’ll probably arrive in three minutes; you’ll be in danger by then.”

”Understood,” Ye Luo responded, and he reached the top floor of the Ginza building, which was also the location of the bio-weapons research lab.

This third floor had been thoroughly transformed into just a long, white corridor, with a massive metal door at the end. And through his Clairvoyant Eye, Ye Luo saw that the door was at least one meter thick and made of a special kind of metal—not so easy to open.

Ye Luo rushed forward but as he set foot into the white corridor, purple light beams shot out from the walls.

It was ultraviolet light. Ye Luo’s face changed, and he quickly dodged. A purple beam grazed his arm, cutting a deep gash into it.

Ye Luo urgently activated Dragon Soaring Nine Heavens and dashed like lightning to the metal door, where there was a fingerprint scanner, obviously meant to secure entry.

Ye Luo tried concentrating all his True Qi into a punch against the door, but it only dented a few centimeters in, far from breaking through.

Meanwhile, inside the lab, several researchers had grabbed a bunch of documents and a white canister, preparing to evacuate.

There was a passage in the lab leading directly to the rooftop of the Ginza building, and at that spot, a helicopter was already waiting.

Aside from the passage within this laboratory, there were no other ways to access the rooftop; there wasn’t even a single window. Clearly, everything was meticulously designed to prevent accidents from happening.

”Girl, I’ve run into a metal door here that I can’t open. It requires fingerprint recognition. Think of something fast, or they’re going to take the bioweapon and run,” Ye Luo hurriedly said through his Bluetooth headset.

”I know. Place the button I gave you onto the fingerprint scanner,” the voice of Mingyue came through the earpiece.

Ye Luo took out a black button from his person, the same one Mingyue had given him before his mission started, saying it would come in handy.

Ye Luo placed the button on the fingerprint scanner, and immediately a ”ding” sounded, and the button stuck to it.

It wasn’t more than ten seconds before Mingyue’s voice rang out again.

”It’s done!”

Subsequently, the heavy metal door slowly opened.

”Damn, girl, you’re really something!” Ye Luo couldn’t help but exclaim as he watched the scene unfold.

”Now you see my worth, right? It’s not all about being great in martial arts.” Mingyue’s smug voice came from the earpiece, but Ye Luo wasn’t listening to her boast; he had already charged into the laboratory.

The entire laboratory was a sea of white, filled with research equipment, and a bunch of research personnel who seemed a bit stunned as Ye Luo barged in.

Considering the risk of disturbing the research of the bioweapon and the fact that the three floors below were guarded by many experts, the laboratory itself had no defensive force; it was full of unarmed research personnel.

However, Ye Luo paid no attention to these people and dashed towards the secret passage within the research lab. With his Clairvoyant Eye, he had already seen an old and middle-aged man in white lab coats, carrying a document bag and an extinguisher-shaped white canister to the rooftop, ready to board the helicopter.

If he let the helicopter take off, it would all be over; no matter how powerful he was, he couldn’t fly.

Therefore, Ye Luo moved with his fastest speed towards the rooftop.

On the rooftop of the Ginza Building, the propellers of a helicopter were already whirring, and a pilot was seated in the cockpit ready for takeoff, while the two men carrying their items ran towards it.

”Hurry, Professor, get on the plane!” The middle-aged man urged the elder into the cabin, who was clenching the canister tightly in his hands.

The helicopter soon began to ascend slowly, and Ye Luo burst out towards it, watching as the helicopter was about to fly away he sprinted and leaped towards it.

”Speed up, speed up!”

The middle-aged man saw Ye Luo rushing over and his face paled, urging the pilot to accelerate.

The helicopter’s blades were spinning quickly, and at that moment, it had risen five or six meters off the rooftop, about to leave.

Whoosh!

At that instant, Ye Luo leaped, brandishing the Lingyun Sword. He swung it fiercely, releasing a sharp Sword Qi that blasted directly onto the propellers.
