Chapter 556: Chapter 556 Shark in the Sea_1

In Qin Yuru’s office, Qin Yuru stood there with a heavy expression, while Xiang Tiandong looked at her anxiously.

”President, what should we do now? Do we really have to hand over the Qin Clan to your third uncle?” Xiang Tiandong couldn’t help but ask.

”Of course not, they killed Grandfather, and I will never let Grandfather’s lifetime of hard work fall into their hands, no matter what,” Qin Yuru said with determination on her face.

”But President, they have five percent more shares than us in their hands; we can’t stop them at all.”

Qin Yuru’s face turned solemn, and her eyes flickered with a glint as she murmured to herself, ”There must be a way, there must be a way.”

Suddenly Qin Yuru’s phone rang, and as soon as she answered it, her brows furrowed slightly, and she said, ”Alright, I got it.”

”What’s wrong, President?” Xiang Tiandong looked at Qin Yuru with some confusion.

”It’s nothing. Don’t worry, I will figure something out,” Qin Yuru said, her eyes sparkling with spirit.

On an isolated island.

Ye Luo and Mingyue sat by the shore, gazing into the distance.

”It’s been so long, and we haven’t seen a shadow. It seems we might have to stay on this island for life,” Mingyue said with regret.

”Don’t worry, there’s always a way out, I believe we will not die here on this island,” Ye Luo’s eyes twinkled with confident light.

Time passed unknowingly, and the faint sound of a cruise ship’s horn rang out.

Ye Luo and Mingyue were both startled, their gazes turning towards the distant sea where a huge silhouette appeared faintly visible, a cruise ship.

”There’s a ship, there’s a ship!”

Mingyue said excitedly, jumping up and waving her hands as she shouted, ”Hey, we’re here! Someone’s here, come quickly!”

Ye Luo looked at Mingyue as if she were an idiot and said, ”Like this, even if you shouted till your throat was sore, the people on the ship wouldn’t be able to hear you.”

”Then what do we do? Are we just going to watch that ship leave, without knowing when the next one will come?” Mingyue asked anxiously.

”Watch me.”

Ye Luo’s mouth curled into a smile as he suddenly rushed towards the wilderness of the island. In less than a minute, Ye Luo returned carrying a one-meter-long log.

”What are you going to do with this?” Mingyue asked curiously, looking at Ye Luo.

”Of course, we’re going to use this to get to that cruise ship, unless you want to wait for them to come to us,” Ye Luo said as he threw the log into the sea and sat down on it.

”Will this work?” Mingyue asked worriedly.

”If you don’t believe me, stay here by yourself,” Ye Luo said as he was about to leave, and Mingyue quickly jumped on.

”Sit tight, hold on to me,” Ye Luo said, but Mingyue still didn’t embrace him.

Soon, Ye Luo gathered True Qi in his hands and waved, creating a powerful recoil that sent the log far out in an instant.

Mingyue was startled, her body leaning forward as she suddenly grabbed onto Ye Luo.

Ye Luo’s mouth revealed a hint of a smile. His hands kept waving, True Qi gushed out as if they were booster engines, making the log drift on the sea.

”This method isn’t bad, why didn’t you use it earlier? We could have just left the deserted island like this,” Mingyue suddenly spoke up.

”You really think I’m Superman, don’t you? Don’t you know this consumes a lot of True Qi? If we did that, I reckon we’d end up dying at sea instead. Truly a case of beauty without brains,” Ye Luo said with a sneer, his face full of disdain.

”Who are you calling beauty without brains?” Mingyue sat up abruptly, her face indignant.

Bang!

Ye Luo gathered True Qi in his hands once again and swept it across the sea, sending the log shooting far off, which made Mingyue cling tightly to Ye Luo again.

As Ye Luo continuously consumed his True Qi to propel the log forward on the open sea, they finally got a clear view of the ship, which was a huge, luxurious cruise liner.

”What are those pointy things?”

Suddenly, Mingyue pointed at several sharp objects protruding from the sea surface in the distance, her face full of confusion.

Ye Luo glanced over and said directly, ”Those are sharks.”

”What? Sharks?” Mingyue’s face immediately changed, her eyes revealing a hint of shock.

”Are all those pointy things sharks?” Mingyue looked at the sharp objects breaking the sea surface with a fearful expression.

”Yes, there are over a dozen of them,” Ye Luo nodded, whereupon Mingyue’s face turned pale from fright.

Although Mingyue was an Innate Expert, she still instinctively felt a trace of fear and dread towards sharks, the ferocious rulers of the sea.

”We’re not going to be eaten by these sharks, are we?” Mingyue couldn’t help but say, her voice trembling.

”Don’t worry, with me here, I won’t let you get eaten by the sharks so easily.” Ye Luo revealed a playful smile, showing no concern in the face of these approaching sea predators.

Soon, these sharks revealed their massive bodies, at least a dozen of them, each as big as elephants, charging towards Ye Luo and Mingyue. The sight was spectacular, enough to scare any ordinary person to death.

And Mingyue was holding on to Ye Luo tightly with both hands, not daring to let go for even a second, her head buried against Xiao Yifeng’s back.

In the blink of an eye, these dozen or so sharks opened their huge mouths, revealing sharp teeth capable of easily crushing even metal and bone.

”Lingyun Sword!”

At that moment, Xiao Yifeng finally made his move. With a swipe of one hand, the Lingyun Sword appeared in it. The Nine Yang True Qi surged from within him, channeled into the Lingyun Sword, and immediately the blade’s light shone brightly, emitting a terrifyingly sharp aura.

Swish, swish, swish!

Xiao Yifeng swung more than a dozen times, releasing bursts of Sword Qi infused with Nine Yang True Qi, blasting onto these sharks above the sea surface.

Although the sharks were tough and massive, they were unable to resist against Xiao Yifeng’s formidable Sword Qi.

In an instant, four or five sharks were sliced open by the sharp Sword Qi, their blood dyeing the ocean red and the stench of blood filling the air.

Seeing this, Mingyue’s expression changed slightly, but her tension was involuntarily relieved.

After those four or five sharks were killed, the remaining sharks did not continue their charge. Instead, they turned towards the carcasses of their fallen brethren and began to feast frantically.

In less than a minute, the corpses of the four or five slain sharks were cleanly devoured by their companions, not even scraps were left, much to Mingyue’s dismay.
