Chapter 562: Chapter 562: Arriving at Island Country_1

For a moment, the whole Capital City was abuzz with the news of the marriage alliance, becoming a hive of activity.

In Zhonghai, when Ling Qingya heard the news that Qin Yuru was to marry the Young Master of Century Group, she too was taken aback.

However, her shock stemmed from knowing that Qin Yuru had a past relationship with Ye Luo. Now, she was about to marry another man—if Ye Luo learned of this, it was uncertain how he would react.

After a long moment, Ling Qingya still decided to take out her phone and attempt to inform Ye Luo of the news. Yet she was unaware that Ye Luo’s phone had long since sunk to the bottom of the sea, leaving no trace; her call would simply not go through.

Of course, Ye Luo knew nothing of this. At that moment, he was sitting on the cruise ship, admiring the scenery of the vast sea.

After a day’s journey, the cruise finally arrived at the Island Country.

As soon as the cruise ship docked, Ye Luo and Mingyue disembarked, setting foot on the land of the Island Country where Yamaguchi Momoe and a middle-aged man walked over.

”Mr. Ye, could you leave me a contact number? I’d like to express my gratitude for saving my life before,” Yamaguchi Momoe said to Ye Luo.

”My phone was lost to the seawater, so I don’t have a contact number. Besides, Ms. Yamaguchi, you saved our lives as well. We’re even now. No need for formality. If fate allows, we’ll meet again,” Ye Luo said with a smile.

”Very well, this is my contact information. If you encounter any problems or need assistance in the Island Country, feel free to reach out to me,” Yamaguchi Momoe said, handing him her business card.

”Alright,” Ye Luo nodded as he accepted the business card, then led Mingyue away from the area.

”Miss, I suspect this man’s identity is not as simple as it seems,” remarked the middle-aged man standing next to Yamaguchi Momoe, his gaze narrowing into a line.

Yamaguchi Momoe’s eyes sparkled as she responded, ”As long as he is not our enemy, that’s all that matters.”

”Let’s return.”

”Miss, should we take any action regarding the recent assassination attempt...”

”Don’t mention it - pretend it never happened,” Yamaguchi Momoe said with a sharp look in her eyes.

Meanwhile, in a luxurious villa in Tokyo, Island Country, an alluring and seductively dressed woman was glaring at a man in front of her with an expression full of anger.

”Incompetent fools, all of you! So many men, yet unable to handle even a few people. What good are you?” the woman said coldly, her eyes filled with rage.

”Please calm your anger, Miss,” the man said with a trembling voice as he suddenly knelt on the ground.

”Get out!” The woman’s face contorted in fury as she barked the order, and the man hurried out.

The woman’s eyes narrowed, glinting with cold sharpness.

”What should we do now?” Mingyue asked Ye Luo while on the streets of Tokyo.

”First, let’s find a place to stay. Then we can contact Ruo Bing or the Special Security Bureau to report our situation. After that, we’ll decide our next move.”

”But it seems we don’t have any money on us, right?” Mingyue suddenly remarked. They had lost all their possessions when they fell into the sea.

Swish!

Ye Luo flourished a bank card in his hand and said, ”What about this?”

”Where did you get that card?” Mingyue asked in surprise.

”Yamaguchi Momoe gave it to me,” Ye Luo said indifferently.

”You kid, you seem to really have a way with women, even someone like Yamaguchi Momoe has fallen for you,” Mingyue said, pursing her lips.

”You must be jealous,” Ye Luo laughed heartily as he walked straight into what looked like a nice hotel.

The front desk at the hotel was quite attractive and very kawaii.

With the card in hand, Ye Luo had wanted to get two rooms, but he found out he couldn’t because he had no ID. Just as he was feeling disappointed, a manager-looking person came over, saw the bank card in Ye Luo’s hand, and his expression changed to one of surprise. He immediately allowed them to check in without IDs.

”Looks like the card Miss Yamaguchi gave isn’t a regular card. It must be some kind of VIP card, which is why the manager recognized it and let us check in,” Mingyue commented lightly.

”Let’s not worry about it for now. Let’s go up, take a shower, tidy ourselves up, then go out for a meal.”

Ye Luo headed toward the elevator, and soon the elevator door opened. Both of them walked inside. Right at that moment, the doors of an adjacent elevator also opened, and two young men, each with a woman in tow, walked out—it was Tagawa Ichiro and Han Li.

”It’s him!”

Han Li came out and saw the figure of Ye Luo entering the adjacent elevator. His expression grew tense, but by the time he looked again, the elevator doors had already closed.

”Who?” Tagawa Ichiro asked with a puzzled look on his face.

”Ye Luo!” Han Li said in a deep voice.

”What? That bastard? How could that be? How could he be here?” Tagawa Ichiro’s face was immediately full of shock, and he pushed away the women beside him.

”Could you have seen wrong?” Tagawa Ichiro suggested after some thought.

”Impossible, that guy caused my family’s downfall. I would never mistake him; it’s definitely him,” Han Li said with a touch of agitation in his voice, his eyes flashing with a fierce coldness.

”If that’s the case, we’ll just check the surveillance and then we’ll know everything,” Tagawa Ichiro said evenly.

Later, in the hotel’s surveillance room, Tagawa Ichiro and Han Li’s expressions both shook when they saw Ye Luo entering the hotel.

”It really is him!” Han Li’s fists clenched as he watched Ye Luo’s figure, his eyes filled with intense hatred.

”This damn guy, he even dares to come to the Island Country!” Tagawa Ichiro slammed his hand on the table.

”Young Master Tagawa, we can’t miss this opportunity,” Han Li said, looking at Tagawa Ichiro.

”Right. He made us suffer so much in Zhonghai. Now that he’s come to the Island Country to seek death, we can’t be blamed for what happens. This time I’ll make sure he never leaves this land,” Tagawa Ichiro added coldly, his eyes flashing with a cold light.

Of course, Ye Luo had no idea that he had just arrived in the Island Country and already had the misfortune of encountering Han Li and Tagawa Ichiro, who had recognized him at a glance.

After a good shower in his room, he contacted the customer service to deliver a clean set of clothes. Once ready, Ye Luo went straight out and came to Mingyue’s room, knocking on the door.

”Are you ready? I’m heading out to eat,” Ye Luo called out.

”What’s the rush?”

Mingyue flung open the door, dressed in a white shirt that covered her hips, giving the illusion that she wasn’t wearing pants, revealing her long, fair legs. Mingyue was drying her hair with a towel.

”Geez, don’t you know how tempting you look like this? Are you trying to hint at something?” Ye Luo leaned against the door, a devilish smile on his face as he looked at Mingyue.

”Get lost, as if I’d ever tempt you,” Mingyue spat out scornfully, then turned and walked back inside, grabbing her clothes and heading to the bathroom. Moments later, Mingyue emerged dressed in a shirt and jeans, in a cool and refreshing outfit.
