Chapter 561: Chapter 561 Board of Directors Upheaval_1

In the largest meeting room of the Qin Group, the entire Qin Clan shareholders and directors converged, but department managers were not qualified to attend the board meeting.

The board meeting of the Qin Group was only convened when the company had to make some major decisions, and it was the highest-level meeting of the Qin Clan.

At this moment, Qin Tianchen took his seat on the chair reserved for the helmsman of the Qin Group, looking relaxed. Clearly, he had already seen himself as the new helmsman of the Qin Clan.

None of the shareholders and directors present said anything, or rather, they now had no right to speak, as eighty percent of their shares had ended up in the hands of Qin Tianchen.

Some of them only retained the title, or to put it another way, they had no connection with the Qin Clan anymore. The few shareholders and directors who still held shares amounted to no more than one percent combined, and Qin Tianchen did not even take them seriously.

”It’s been so long, and Qin Yuru still hasn’t shown up. It seems she knows she’s lost and is too ashamed to show her face here anymore,” Qin Tianchen said with a smile as he checked the time.

”The word ’lose’ does not exist in my dictionary!”

Suddenly, a cold voice burst forth, and Qin Yuru walked in, her face emotionless, exuding the aura of a powerful woman.

”My dear niece, you finally arrived. I thought you wouldn’t come,” Qin Tianchen said with a smile as he saw Qin Yuru appear.

”Today is the board meeting of the Qin Group, and as its helmsman, how could I not come? Oh, and sorry, please get up. You’re sitting in my seat,” Qin Yuru stated coldly as she approached Qin Tianchen.

Qin Tianchen, watching her demeanor, frowned with anger and said, ”It seems you still haven’t come to terms with reality. My shares have already surpassed yours; you no longer have the right to be the helmsman.”

”As long as the board has not announced the replacement of my position as the Qin Group helmsman for even a second, I am still the owner of this company. You have to stand up. You don’t have the right to sit here,” Qin Yuru demanded, her gaze fixed on Qin Tianchen.

”You...” Qin Tianchen’s eyes flashed with anger as he stared at Qin Yuru and stood up abruptly, addressing the assembled directors and shareholders, ”Alright, since that’s the case, let’s now announce who will be the new helmsman of the Qin Group.”

Hearing Qin Tianchen’s words, the shareholders and directors exchanged glances, ready to speak.

”Hold on!”

A calm male voice rang out, and Ji Lingtian, clad in a white suit, walked in with an imposing presence.

”Ji Lingtian!”

Seeing Ji Lingtian’s arrival, both Qin Tianchen and Qin Yun, who was sitting beside him, had a change in expression.

The shareholders and directors present also showed surprise on their faces at Ji Lingtian’s appearance.

”Young Master Ji, this is an internal board meeting of the Qin Group. It’s rather inappropriate for an outsider like you to be here. What’s the meaning of this, Qin Yuru?” Qin Tianchen turned his gaze from Ji Lingtian to Qin Yuru, knowing that without her permission, outsiders couldn’t simply enter this meeting room.

”Of course, I know this is an internal board meeting of the Qin Group. But my arrival is just in time, because I am now also a shareholder of the Qin Group. Isn’t it normal for me to attend this board meeting?” Ji Lingtian said, smiling.

”What do you mean?” A bad feeling crept into Qin Tianchen’s heart.

”This is my share certificate, and as of now, I control eight percent of the Qin Group’s stake, making me the largest shareholder aside from you and Miss Qin. I assume there shouldn’t be any problem with me attending the board meeting,” Ji Lingtian said as he tossed a document to Qin Tianchen, who looked increasingly upset upon seeing it.

”Then, may I ask what is Young Master Ji’s purpose for attending the board meeting today?” Qin Tianchen’s eyes fixed on Ji Lingtian, flickering with light.

”My purpose is quite simple. I heard that some people want to replace Miss Qin as the helmsman of the Qin Group, which naturally, I disagree with. I believe that with Miss Qin’s shares combined with my eight percent, there should be no one else in the Qin Clan who owns more shares than this, right?” Ji Lingtian spoke indifferently.

Qin Tianchen and Qin Yun, father and son, both looked grim and a bit ugly.

”Young Master Ji, may I know what kind of condition Miss Qin Yuru has offered you?” Qin Tianchen said, gazing at Ji Lingtian.

”There’s no conditional exchange between Miss Qin and me, for she will soon be engaged to me. By then, Miss Qin will be my fiancée. Is it not right that I help my fiancée?” Ji Lingtian smiled as he looked at Qin Tianchen.

Upon hearing Ji Lingtian’s words, everyone present revealed a shocked expression.

Qin Tianchen’s eyes hardened as he turned toward Qin Yuru and said, ”I didn’t expect my dear niece to make such a great sacrifice for the Qin Group. Truly impressive.”

”The Qin Group is grandpa’s lifetime effort; I will never let it fall into your hands,” Qin Yuru said firmly, her expression cold and her gaze resolute.

”Good, very good. Yun’er, let’s go,” Qin Tianchen said with a cold laugh, taking Qin Yun and leaving the meeting room directly.

”Yu Ru, I’ve looked at the calendar earlier, and ten days from now is a good day. How about we set our engagement for then?” Ji Lingtian’s eyes turned to Qin Yuru.

”Everything is up to you,” Qin Yuru nodded in agreement.

”Well then, I will announce the news,” Ji Lingtian said, his lips curving into a thick smile.

Outside the Qin Group, Qin Tianchen and Qin Yun emerged, both wearing extremely gloomy expressions.

”Dad, are we just going to let it go?” Qin Yun’s eyes shimmered with unrest.

”Don’t worry. Even with Ji Lingtian’s support, it’s not over yet. No matter what, we still hold forty-five percent of the shares. The Qin Group will ultimately belong to the two of us,” Qin Tianchen said, his smile taking on a sly twist.

Soon, the news spread throughout Capital City: Qin Yuru, the head of the Qin Group, was to get engaged to Ji Lingtian, the Young Master of Century Group.

This news instantly sent shockwaves through Capital City and even the entire Huaxia. After all, Century Group had joined the three major groups in striking against the Qin Group not long ago. Now, the two major groups were about to form a marital alliance, which was a rapid change indeed.

Once these two business behemoths joined forces, it would cause a series of chain reactions, as Century Group had substantial assets, in no way inferior to the Qin Group.

The union of these two business titans would undoubtedly exert a tremendous influence on the entire Huaxia’s business sector and economy, even affecting the interests of many other powers.
