The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

”Brother Ah Ya, I’m not worried. I believe everyone in the Marquis Mansion is a good person!”

He Tiantian forced a smile at the man and replied softly.

Although there’s no need to worry about the plot and roles, the character cannot collapse, that’s the most basic requirement.

He Tiantian certainly wouldn’t continue to deceive and harm people like the original host, but all of this requires an opportunity and a process!

For now, He Tiantian still needs to play the part of a kind and naive village girl.

Cough, cough!

Truly kind!

She suddenly found a severely injured man at the bottom of the cliff, and instead of finding the clan leader or reporting to the authorities, she secretly took him home.

She didn’t even find a doctor, relying only on some folk remedies for external injuries she learned from her hunter father to ”experiment” on the man.

The man had a strong will to live, amazingly, he didn’t die from the ordeal but slowly woke up.

However, when the man fell off the cliff, he hit his head, and upon waking up, he found he couldn’t even remember his own name.

As for his parents, whether he had a wife and children, or brothers and friends, he remembered nothing.

The original host He Dian was overjoyed, secretly hiding the luxurious robe and Jade Pendant that could potentially trigger the man’s memories, even news of a search from the other side of the mountain was tightly concealed by He Dian.

She took even better care of the man and even gave him a name: ”I found you at the bottom of the cliff, from now on, I’ll call you Ah Ya, okay?”

Ah Ya’s mind was blank, the feeling of amnesia left him with an extreme lack of security.

His life-saving benefactor gave him a name, giving Ah Ya a brief sense of reality, of course he didn’t object.

Just like that, Ah Ya started living in He Dian’s small mountain dwelling.

His injuries were severe, and He Dian’s ”medical skill” was genuinely second-rate; it took nearly half a year for Ah Ya to fully recover.

His injuries healed, but his memory did not return.

Ah Ya was perplexed, he didn’t know where he should go or what he should do.

Fortunately, while recuperating, he fell for his life-saving benefactor, He Dian, and He Dian was an unmarried orphan girl.

He Dian also developed deep feelings for him!

So, the two seamlessly became husband and wife.

He Dian gathered herbs, wove fabric, and Ah Ya, who surprisingly knew some martial arts, used the bow and arrow left by He Dian’s deceased father to hunt.

The small couple’s life wasn’t particularly affluent, but they could afford to eat and clothe themselves warmly.

But this wasn’t the life the original host He Dian desired.

Three months after marrying Ah Ya, He Dian noticed her period hadn’t come, she knew she was probably pregnant.

Pregnant, He Dian felt more confident.

She nonchalantly took out the clothes and Jade Pendant Ah Ya wore when he was injured.

Ah Ya saw the familiar yet strange objects, and fragments quickly flashed through his mind.

He didn’t fully recover his memory, just realized he should be the son of a noble family.

He Dian encouraged Ah Ya to leave the mountain forest and go to the nearest county to inquire for news.

The couple arrived at the county only to find out that months ago, nobles from the Capital City were indeed searching for someone with great fanfare.

However, after searching for over a month with no success, those people left.

Although they left, they posted missing person notices everywhere around the county government and city gates.

And every so often, someone would update the notices, fearing they would be damaged.

After asking directions, the couple found the nearest bulletin board.

Looking at the board full of notices, Ah Ya suddenly realized he could read.

He found the missing person notice and skimmed through it quickly.

After reading, he was completely stunned.

He Dian, who couldn’t read but was adept at observing expressions, noticed something off with her ”Brother Ah Ya” and hurriedly asked meekly: ”Brother Ah Ya, what does the notice say?”

”...The notice says that ten months ago, the Third Young Master of the Marquis Nanning’s Mansion, Gu Jingyuan, encountered mountain bandits near Tiger Head Cliff, was severely injured, and went missing!”

And Ah Ya remembered clearly, he was saved by Ah Dian from the bottom of Tiger Head Cliff.

The time and place matched perfectly.

The clothes he wore when injured were the luxurious attire only nobles could wear, and that Jade Pendant was clearly made of the finest Mutton-fat Jade.

All this evidence unequivocally proved: he, Ah Ya, was indeed the Third Young Master of the Marquis Nanning’s Mansion, Gu Jingyuan!

”Ah Dian, this is fantastic, I finally know where my home is!”

After shock came elation for Ah Ya.

He grasped He Dian’s hand excitedly and said, ”I have a feeling, I must be Gu Jingyuan!”
