The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Since she was able to remember, Ye Muwan knew she was different from her brother—

Every year on her birthday, her mother, grandparents would give her many expensive gifts.

Jewelry, cars, houses.

As she grew older, the gifts became more and more valuable.

Until she was sixteen, her grandfather simply gave her shares of the Qiu Group.

In contrast, her brother only received pitifully small red envelopes or some not-so-valuable items.

Of course, Ye Muwan didn’t know the so-called ”truth” back then.

Qiu Wanting explained it as: ”Muwan, you’re a girl, of course you should be raised rich.”

”Your brother is a boy and will have to bear more responsibilities in the future. So he should be raised poor!”

Back then, not only Ye Muwan, but even Ye Beixuan inwardly felt a bit jealous and, at the same time, accepted this explanation.

Both siblings misunderstood Qiu Wanting’s meaning, wrongly assuming she was talking about: daughters before marriage being cherished more by the family, given more financial support to ensure they have confidence in the future;

As for sons, since they have the family’s assets as a safety net, it’s reasonable for them to receive fewer valuable gifts.

Three years ago, when Ye Beibei suddenly appeared, Ye Beixuan and Ye Muwan only learned the real reason for being treated differently—

No wonder the Qiu Family valued Ye Muwan so much, it wasn’t because of any raising rich girls and poor boys, but because Ye Beixuan wasn’t related by blood to the Qiu Family at all.

Their annual red envelopes or gifts to Ye Beixuan were merely face-saving actions, not treating him as a real grandson.

Ye Beixuan said: ”Muwan is a daughter, of course she needs to be raised rich!”

It seemed he understood Qiu Wanting and the Qiu Family’s differential treatment all along and bore no resentment for it.

But in fact, it’s impossible for him not to have any inner turmoil: Ha, what treating him as a real son, is nothing but deceptive ghost talk.

Claiming love verbally, yet dividing up the family assets with Ye Muwan.

In the past, Ye Beixuan felt something was amiss, tried every way to prove some suspicions deep down.

Three years ago, even though ”identity” hadn’t been exposed, Ye Beixuan already wanted to secretly do a DNA test.

... This was also the main reason Qiu Wanting raised a ”foster son.”

In the eyes of the unaware Ye Beibei, Ye Beixuan still seemed as close and harmonious with Qiu Wanting as before.

But, only the parties involved knew there existed suspicion and estrangement between them.

Ye Beixuan was eager to start his own business, mainly due to this.

And now, suddenly ”crying poor” to Ye Muwan, he had various reasons—

First, it was just a habit between the siblings.

From childhood to adulthood, Ye Muwan was always a little rich lady.

It’s not an exaggeration to say her personal assets could surpass that of Ye Cheeng, the ”President Ye.”

As for Ye Beixuan, he wasn’t neglected either, besides large red envelopes during holidays, he had a monthly allowance of no less than five figures.

But, in the wealthy family circle, even if Ye Beixuan wasn’t a reckless wastrel, daily expenses were considerable.

Especially after growing up, having friends, buddies, sneaking out for meals, clubbing, or engaging in some entertainment activities all required money.

Ye Beixuan was the most outstanding of his generation, even if he wasn’t a leading figure, he was someone with notable status.

And for ”top-grade,” not only must the ability be outstanding, ”Money Ability” couldn’t fall behind.

With more activities, Ye Beixuan’s funds started to run thin.

Ye Muwan, knowing her brother was ”raised poor” by the family and she received so many good things, inevitably felt some guilt.

She intentionally joked with her brother, finding excuses to give him money or lend him her villas and yachts in her name.

Ye Beixuan cooperated, played along, acted cute, then accepted his sister’s generosity.

Secondly, Ye Beixuan indeed had inner discord.

He had correct values, personal pride, and persistence.

But, the sudden exposure of ”identity” made him realize he was always treated differently not because of rubbish rich and poor upbringing, but for another reason.

The unbearable ”truth” completely shattered Ye Beixuan’s assumed beauty.

He truly found it hard not to have feelings.

Of course, Ye Beixuan didn’t turn into a ”top-grade” due to the blow.

He ”cried poor” to Ye Muwan, hoping to get financing from his sister, not wanting to take advantage of her for nothing.

Ye Beixuan was very optimistic about his tech company; if Ye Muwan really invested, he would give her corresponding shares according to legal procedures.
