The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

”No matter what reason, I indeed took your money, tickets, and scarce items.”

As she spoke, He Tiantian took off the plum blossom watch on her wrist.

She placed the watch into Han Dongmei’s outstretched hand, ”The watch, the leather shoes, and some clothes are still usable, I’ll return them to you!”

”As for the things I ate, used, or gave away, I can’t return them to their original state. I can convert them to cash, but of course, I don’t have much money right now. How about this, I’ll write you an IOU!”

He Tiantian was very serious, her eyes full of sincerity, ”Comrade Han Dongmei, you calculate it yourself, tell me an amount, and I’ll pay it back within three months!”

Bang!

Hearing He Tiantian’s words, the people around started discussing it again.

”Wow, Educated Youth Heh is truly sincere, voluntarily asking to write an IOU!”

”Tsk tsk, if my ex-boyfriend had half of Educated Youth Heh’s understanding, I would be content!”

”Give me a break. What ’understanding’? This is breaking the norm. Between friends or lovers, giving some money or items is very normal.”

”As long as it’s not intentional deception, it’s normal social interaction.”

”When things are good, you give what you can; when it goes sour, you want everything back, and the consumed or used things to be converted to cash, this, this—”

The rest of the words were left unsaid by a bystander, but everyone around, including Han Dongmei, understood the implication.

This Han Dongmei, so petty and quick to ask for past transactions, really not someone ’trustworthy’.

He Tiantian: ...I’m not intentionally targeting the Female Supporting Character, but just doing what the male lead should do.

Repaying debts is only natural.

Even between lovers, after breaking up, the dumplings made by one’s mother can make the other person pay eight cents!

He Tiantian doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with Han Dongmei asking for money and goods back. After all, Han Dongmei gave a lot more to the original owner, not just a few dumplings or festive red envelopes like 5.20 or 1.314.

So much money, tickets, and scarce items, oh, and a whole set of review materials, something you can’t buy even with money.

Even if Han Dongmei persistently gave it, the original owner didn’t refuse and accepted it willingly, that was his fault.

Now that He Tiantian has come to this world, unable to retain Golden Finger for the Female Supporting Character nor make double compensation, she can only first return what should be returned!

”...I, I don’t want them anymore!”

Han Dongmei couldn’t feel He Tiantian’s ”goodwill”. She was so ashamed and angry from being pointed at and mocked by the people around.

She no longer had the momentum to demand her dues, holding the watch as if it were a hot potato.

She forcefully flung it away, not only slapping away He Tiantian’s hand but also throwing the valuable plum blossom watch.

Bang!

The watch fell to the ground, the delicate watch case shattered, just like the pride and dignity Han Dongmei just established.

”Oh no, such a good watch, how could it just break like that?”

”Such wastefulness, truly a wasteful girl!”

”Even if the watch was bought by her, it shouldn’t be treated so roughly. I heard a watch costs more than a hundred and twenty yuan!”

”My goodness, over a hundred yuan, that’s more than what the strongest worker in our family earns in a year!”

Once again, there was a buzz of chatter among the crowd.

Han Dongmei couldn’t hold back anymore, she covered her face and ran back to her room crying.

He Tiantian:...

Really want to extend Er Kang’s hand and earnestly tell the Female Supporting Character: Honey, I didn’t mean it!

Shaking her head vigorously to dispel the chaotic thoughts, He Tiantian bent down and picked up the watch.

Looking at the shattered watch case, He Tiantian pressed her lips together.

Then, she looked up, smiling at the people around her, and said, ”It’s all right, it can be fixed! In a couple of days, I’ll go to the County and find a watch repair Master to replace the case, it’ll be as good as new!”

”Educated Youth Heh is incredibly generous.”

”Indeed, in the past, I thought city slickers had no sense of responsibility, but surprisingly, Educated Youth Heh, despite looking delicate and scholarly, is truly a stand-up guy!”

He Tiantian couldn’t listen anymore; if the crowd kept talking, the original character, a gigolo living off women, would soon become a straightforward and upright real man.

He Tiantian couldn’t ruin the original character’s image, but she also couldn’t, against her conscience, help the male lead clean up his image.

She quickly said, ”It’s not about being responsible, I indeed accepted Dongmei’s things, to be honest, it’s somewhat inappropriate.”

”I couldn’t give Dongmei something in return, if Dongmei is tired, weary, no longer wanting to like me, that’s perfectly normal!”

Yet, the more she spoke this way, the more everyone regarded Educated Youth Heh as straightforward!

Making mistakes isn’t scary, what’s scary is knowing the mistake but not correcting it.

Knowing the mistake and correcting it with such sincerity, that’s a good comrade!
