The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Han Dongmei felt somewhat dazed.

So strange!

The ”Heh Yuntian” before her looked truly strange!

It was clearly the same face, the same person.

But the Heh Yuntian just now seemed like an oily and average guy, who after being exposed by her, showed all sorts of flustered and exasperated behavior, a downright hypocritical scoundrel.

Yet now, why does he suddenly seem like a forthright and confident male idol?

Just like the perfect man she had imagined in her heart and mind when she was infatuated with Heh Yuntian!

Han Dongmei was a bit at a loss at once, unsure whether to feel panic or secret joy in her heart.

The panic stemmed from something seeming to slip from her control;

While the secret joy was that she hadn’t loved the wrong person in the past.

If she discovered that the object of her obsession was unworthy, she could certainly wake up completely.

But, she wouldn’t be able to resist self-doubt: Was I stupid in the past? Or was I blind? How did I end up in this situation for such a scoundrel?!

With the idol filter restored, even if she unfollowed, it wouldn’t be too sad or resentful, at most they would just part ways and wish each other well.

”I clearly hate Heh Yuntian, the scumbag, he tricked me—”

Han Dongmei tried hard to say this to herself in her heart.

But as she kept saying it, she couldn’t continue.

Because Heh Yuntian hadn’t deceived her.

Just like the things ”Heh Yuntian” said earlier, all the while she pursued him relentlessly, he kept refusing.

And he stated it very clearly, ”I don’t like you! Dongmei, matters of the heart really can’t be forced!”

A twisted melon isn’t sweet!

Heh Yuntian had said this to her, and Han Dongmei understood this herself.

But she just wasn’t willing to let go, pestering him from the city to the small mountain village, knowing well that Heh Yuntian liked Zhuoya, yet still using ”friend” as a reason to stick by Heh Yuntian’s side.

Those money and goods were also what she insisted on giving.

Heh Yuntian initially rejected them, and it was Han Dongmei who, at one moment angrily said, ”If you don’t want them, I’ll throw them into the river,” and at another moment tearfully said, ”You don’t like me, do you even despise my things?”

Perhaps Heh Yuntian really was enamoured by those things, but it can’t be denied, Han Dongmei did everything she could just for a chance to associate with the male idol.

Heh Yuntian’s final acceptance was also due to Han Dongmei’s persistent pestering.

After all, even if they can’t be lovers, they don’t have to be enemies.

Living in the same Educated Youth Corps, meeting often, and both families being old neighbors.

Heh Yuntian, unless he really broke with her, would find it hard to refuse Han Dongmei.

It’s just, everyone has a selfish side.

Many times, even when making mistakes, one wouldn’t easily self-reflect and instead instinctively place the blame on others.

Han Dongmei was no exception, she ”foresaw” her future, ”saw” herself living so miserably, and blamed it all on Heh Yuntian.

It was because he was such a scoundrel, because he misled her, that this—

Adding to it were the urging of the live stream audience, and Han Dongmei increasingly felt she was a pitiful victim.

So, she angrily came to demand her debt, and with no hesitation, wanted to slap the scumbag!

But now, suddenly realizing Heh Yuntian wasn’t the oily average guy, but still the male idol she most liked and was obsessed with, her heart was in turmoil.

She lost her earlier momentum, instead being pressured to retreat by He Tiantian’s radiance.

”I, I—” She wanted to explain, but couldn’t say anything.

Her expression, seen by the witnessing educated youths and villagers, seemed like she was guilty and lacking confidence.

Boom!

The crowd exploded again.

”So Educated Youth Heh wasn’t lying, after all, those things were also received out of necessity!”

”Exactly, I don’t think Comrade Heh is someone who would cheat women out of money. They’re classmates, after all, and live under the same roof as fellow educated youths, so Comrade Heh can’t be too absolute in what he says!”

”Yeah, yeah, Comrade Heh accepted things also to preserve Comrade Han’s dignity!”

”...During infatuation, gifts are given frantically; when dislike sets in, claims of deceit and demands for the return of gifts arise!” This kind of behavior, while not exactly wrong, is somewhat unethical.

Everyone discussed animatedly.

Of course, some also spoke up for Han Dongmei, ”Even if there was no deceit, if a girl gives you things, doesn’t it mean something? Isn’t it clear to you?”

”That’s quite right, taking someone’s things, if they don’t want them back, fine, but if they demand, they should be returned.”
