The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 940: Chapter 364: My Sister Is Reborn (Part 8)_2

The taxi driver was somewhat astonished, oh wow, is this a scene from a TV drama playing out right before my eyes?

Are you chasing after a rebellious daughter, or trailing an underage girl?

Noticing the peculiar gaze of the taxi driver, Mr. He hurriedly explained, ”The one in front is my daughter. She just got out of the hospital today and insisted on going out by herself to buy things. I’m worried—”

Before Mr. He could finish his sentence, the middle-aged taxi driver, who was also a father, immediately understood.

”The heart of a parent is so full of worry, especially when raising a daughter, you can’t help but be concerned.”

”Last time, I picked up a young girl, she looked under twenty, but she was alone with her suitcase going to the maternity hospital for an abortion.”

”Her parents were probably unaware, otherwise, they would be heartbroken and anxious.”

”Young girls are too easy to suffer losses, and as men, we know all too well the tricks men can play...”

Taxi drivers really are the best at small talk, Mr. He said just one sentence and it brought out a tirade from the driver.

Mr. He: ...I, I have two daughters.

But my eldest daughter is sensible and intelligent. My youngest is delicate and clever, she won’t be easily deceived by the boys out there!

Thinking this in his heart, he still couldn’t help but worry.

Indeed, his two daughters are growing up, and some things indeed require caution!

While thinking silently, Mr. He’s eyes didn’t forget to keep an eye on the taxi ahead.

After driving for more than twenty minutes, the taxi arrived at a cultural supplies market.

There were bookstores, stationery shops, and some shops selling art supplies.

Seeing his daughter get out from the taxi in front, Mr. He also quickly called to stop.

After paying the fare, Mr. He continued to follow quietly behind He Tiantian.

”Get me a set of mid-range supplies: pencils from HB to 8B, one of each. Also, 8K sketch paper, 8K and 4K gouache paper...”

He Tiantian stood on the culturally rich commercial street, glanced around, and picked a relatively simple store.

Entering the store, she scanned the interior, finding that it was indeed well-stocked.

There were various types of drawing paper, rows and rows of paints, palettes, and brushes of all sizes.

Additionally, plaster portraits and still life plates for painting were also all available.

Without being too picky, He Tiantian directly found the shop owner, ”Also, gouache brushes, a palette, a small bucket, and all sorts of paints, give me a set of those too!”

”Sure, please hold on a moment!”

Upon hearing He Tiantian’s request, the owner knew she was knowledgeable.

He didn’t bother with unnecessary chatter and swiftly selected a mid-range brand, configuring everything according to He Tiantian’s requests.

Shortly, the owner stacked a pile of items on the counter.

After gathering everything, the owner pulled out a calculator and began tallying up with a beep-beep sound.

”Altogether it’s two hundred and seventy-three yuan. I’ll round it off for you, just give me two hundred and seventy.”

He Tiantian raised an eyebrow, painting indeed burns money.

And these are just mid-range art supplies, a complete set costing nearly 300 yuan.

Considering this is an era when the minimum wage in the Provincial City is only six hundred yuan.

This set alone wipes out half the salary of some low-income people.

However, this is just the beginning.

There will be more expenses to come.

Not to mention, the art class recommended by He Tianxin, where the tuition wouldn’t be cheap.

Didn’t He Tianxin say it herself? The art teachers responsible for the classes are graduates from S Art Institute, including a young painter in the province, Qin Song.

This kind of strong teaching lineup is not something a casual small art interest class could compare to.

And naturally, the tuition is far above those small training classes.

He Tiantian estimated roughly according to the current prices, feeling that taking a class from Teacher Qin Song would cost around two to three hundred yuan per session!

”Thank you, boss!”

While secretly complaining, He Tiantian pulled three 100 yuan bills out of her backpack.

The owner gave her change and casually handed her a business card, ”Young girl, here’s my business card. As you can see, I specialize in art supplies here!”

”Not only mid to low-end brands but many large foreign brands, I’m also an agent for them.”

”If you ever need anything in the future, feel free to call me, I can reserve them for you.”

”Oh, by the way, do you need a reliable tutor? I know some teachers at S Art Institute.”
