The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Chapter 933: Chapter 362: My Sister Is Reborn (Part 6)

”Two phones, one for each of you sisters! The brand, model, and color are exactly the same, so don’t say I’m playing favorites!”

Mrs. He placed two identical packaging boxes in front of her daughters, speaking with a hint of emotion.

”Oh, by the way, I haven’t unsealed them yet. You can check the colors first. If you don’t like them, you can take the receipt to the mall and exchange for a color you prefer.”

”I’ve also got the SIM cards ready for you, one for each. I’ve preloaded five hundred bucks for the phone bills, you can use it for now.”

Mrs. He talked, but her heart still faintly ached.

Money, it’s all money.

And phone bills these days aren’t cheap, it’s chargeable both ways.

That means the person making the call gets charged, and so does the person receiving it.

Now all four in their family have phones, so whenever they call each other, it’s double the phone bill.

”Thanks, Mom! Wow, this phone is really gorgeous, and it’s the latest model. I just saw an advertisement for this phone on TV, it’s endorsed by Kim X-shan from Cosmic Country!”

He Tiantian cheered, jumped off the sofa, and took one of them right away.

She opened the packaging and looked at the exquisite red phone, playing with it, unable to put it down.

No matter whether she was truly happy in her heart, her little mouth was very sweet—

”Wow, Mom, your taste is really great, I just love red. Look at this color, it’s so vibrant and not gaudy at all.”

”I don’t need to exchange it! I just love what you picked for me!”

He Tiantian showed her love for the phone with her actions; she directly removed the protective film from the screen, then opened the back cover, took out the battery, and swiftly placed the SIM card inside.

In her heart, she was thinking, ”These phones are quite interesting nowadays, you can actually take out the battery. To think, ten years later, all phones will have big screens and non-removable batteries.”

Although she didn’t understand why she knew about the high technology ten years later, she decided not to dwell on it.

She knew, so she knew; why question it so much?

It’s just like the benefits Space provides, similar to those skills.

He Tiantian was very philosophical, not wasting her energy questioning or probing.

”Hmph! Just knowing how to say sweet things to please people!”

He Tianxin couldn’t stand He Tiantian’s crafty words and deeds.

In her past life, she was the fool, stupidly tricked by He Tiantian’s constant ”big sister,” and ended up becoming a Helping-Sister Demon.

But in this life, she would never make the same mistake again.

No matter how sweetly He Tiantian spoke, she wouldn’t easily trust her.

Having resentment towards a sister who only knows how to talk glibly, He Tianxin constantly reminded herself not to be deceived, and just seeing He Tiantian sweet-talking their real mother made her angry.

These deceptive ghost words again. Parents playing favorites, He Tiantian’s glib tongue played a role to a certain extent.

He Tianxin was unhappy inside, and it somewhat showed on her face.

Besides, what did Mom mean by her previous statement?

What does ”don’t say I’m playing favorites” mean?

Did their real mother sense her eldest daughter’s hostility towards He Tiantian and deliberately gave her a hint?

He Tianxin pursed her lips, unwilling to think ill of her mother.

But, with the painful memories from her past life, she became extremely sensitive and even a bit hostile.

Maybe it was just a careless remark from their mother, but He Tianxin could interpret it negatively!

Moreover, He Tianxin dared to bet, that though Mom said she wasn’t playing favorites, her thought of buying phones for her daughters was certainly because of He Tiantian.

As for the so-called ”fairness,” one for each, it was just for appearances; she, He Tianxin, was merely an add-on.

Thinking about this, He Tianxin’s excitement about having a new phone quickly turned gloomy.

”... Tiantian and I can’t use the same one, it’s too easy to mix them up. I’ll exchange mine for a white one!”

After all, He Tianxin had lived two lives, even though she had a belly full of suspicion and negative emotions, she didn’t show too much of it.

At least, she didn’t directly say anything like ”I don’t like red,” but instead, she tactfully changed her wording.

Mrs. He thought about it and found it reasonable.

Perhaps she was slightly ”overcorrected” due to her husband’s lecture.

Buying phones, she insisted on buying two identical ones.

Actually, as long as the price and brand are the same, they could completely choose a different model or select two different colors.
