My Silly, Sweet Wife

Yun City First Middle School Academic Affairs Office.

A roughly fifteen or sixteen-year-old boy, looking rough around the edges, had his clothes torn to shreds, with wounds all over his face and body.

He stood rigidly, a look of defiance on his face.

Opposite him, another boy of similar age was lounging with his legs crossed, watching him with a smug expression.

Beside them, a middle-aged man wearing glasses was constantly scolding the boy with his hands behind his back.

”Zhao Hu, you’ve really got guts now, haven’t you? Running amok after just three days unsupervised?” This middle-aged man named Han Hua was the Academic Director: ”Today, I’ve already asked your homeroom teacher to call your father, and I definitely plan to expel you!”

Zhao Hu raised his head and glared at Han Hua: ”You Hongchang is the one who hit me, I am the victim, why should I be punished? Look, he isn’t hurt at all and is just sitting there.”

Zhao Hu pointed at the boy sitting on the sofa, trembling with anger.

The boy named You Hongchang spat out a sunflower seed shell and stood up, suddenly slapping Zhao Hu: ”Zhao Hu, who do you think you are, trying to compete with me?”

Han Hua acted as if he hadn’t seen the slap at all, instead agreeing: ”Exactly, Zhao Hu, how could you compare yourself to You Hongchang? His father is one of our school’s board members, do you understand what a board member is? What does your father do? I’ve heard he’s just a lowly security guard, right? And your mom, running a small noodle shop, can she make in a year what You spends in a day?”

”Director Han, you’re so snobbish!” Zhao Hu, having been slapped, didn’t dare retaliate with Han Hua present.

You Hongchang became more arrogant: ”Zhao Hu, feeling resentful? Haha, alright then, since you are, today I’m telling you, I just don’t like you. If I want to hit you, I’ll hit you, what can you do? Damn it, you dare question me! Today I not only hit you, but when your parents arrive, I’ll hit you again in front of them, see what you do!”

”You Hongchang, you’ve gone too far!” Zhao Hu’s eyes widened, seeming ready to devour You Hongchang.

Zhao Hu, with his rough appearance, stood at least 1.75 meters tall, a head taller than You Hongchang.

If they really fought, You Hongchang wouldn’t stand a chance against Zhao Hu.

But You Hongchang came from a wealthy family and had many followers.

At school, You Hongchang was a bully, often harassing female classmates and hitting anyone he disliked. Zhao Hu, who refused to obey him, often got beaten up.

Zhao Hu had previously swallowed his grievances after getting beaten.

This time, because Zhao Hu fought back and kicked You Hongchang, You immediately went to the Academic Director to have Zhao Hu expelled.

Zhao Hu didn’t expect Han Hua to help him, but he was completely caught off guard when Han became even more unreasonable, acting like a servant to You Hongchang and pushing for his expulsion.

”Damn it, touch me again and I’ll kill you!” Zhao Hu shouted at You Hongchang.

You Hongchang was startled, shrinking back.

Han Hua shouted angrily: ”Zhao Hu, you are truly despicable and incorrigible! If you dare lay a finger on You, today I’ll not only expel you, but make your parents apologize!”

”Director Han, you...” Zhao Hu’s eyes turned red, his clenched fist ultimately not swinging.

You Hongchang got even more cocky, taunting: ”Haha, Zhao Hu, you should be called Sick Cat instead! Coward, you’re just like your pathetic father. I heard your dad isn’t even a security guard anymore, right? Haha, got fired, huh? Let me tell you straight, my dad’s exhibition center needs cleaners. If you kneel and call me grandpa, maybe I’ll get my dad to give your pathetic dad a job cleaning toilets.”

”Exactly, Zhao Hu, think about it. You’s father is the head of our Yun City Exhibition Center, and I’ve heard there’s a fashion expo happening soon. Big bosses from all over the industry are coming, even that top star Chu Tiange is coming.”

At this point, Han Hua changed his tone, laughing: ”By the way, You, our school hasn’t had any sponsorship in a while, could you ask your dad to donate to the school? Haha, it’d be great if Chu Tiange could come sing a few songs for us, our school’s reputation would skyrocket.”

You patted Han Hua’s shoulder: ”Director Han, don’t worry, I’ve got this. My dad told me last night that Chu Tiange is counting on him for an endorsement, just ask my dad and a concert at our school is no problem.”

”Really? Thanks so much, You!” Han Hua nodded incessantly, totally disregarding his authoritative role, glaring at Zhao Hu: ”Zhao Hu, listen, You is thinking about raising our school’s profile. And you? You do nothing but disgrace us, making trouble all the time.”

”Also, your parents are so slow, would they be too stingy even to call a cab?” Han Hua impatiently shouted at someone near the door: ”Teacher Xu, hurry them up! How come your class has pests like this?”

Teacher Xu, Zhao Hu’s homeroom teacher, immediately nodded: ”Director, I’ll hurry them up, hurry them up.”

Just as he took out his phone, a voice shouted from outside: ”Son, son, who the heck bullied you?”

Ye Guichen and his group stormed in.

As soon as they entered the office, Zhao Erdan saw Zhao Hu beaten and covered in wounds, instantly furious: ”What’s going on? Damn it, who dared to hit my son?”

”So uncouth, truly uncouth!” Han Hua frowned at Zhao Erdan’s appearance: ”Are you Zhao Hu’s father?”

Zhao Erdan was stunned and looked up at Han Hua: ”Who are you?”

”I am Han Hua, the school’s Academic Director.” Han Hua arrogantly pointed at Zhao Hu: ”Since the parents are here, I’ll explain the situation. Your Zhao Hu has repeatedly fought and injured other students, I announce his expulsion!”

”What?” Upon hearing Zhao Hu’s expulsion, Zhao Erdan’s face immediately changed.

Li Xiaoqin quickly rushed forward, smacking Zhao Hu: ”Hu Zi, Hu Zi, why do you worry us so much? Don’t you see how hard your dad and I work to earn money for your education? You ungrateful child, always fighting, if you get expelled, how will you go to college? Apologize, quickly!”

”Mom, it’s not my fault at all.” Zhao Hu pouted: ”Why blame me without asking what happened? I might as well quit school.”

”Are you trying to kill me?” Li Xiaoqin smacked Zhao Hu hard: ”Hurry up and apologize to the director, quickly! You’re still young, what will you do without school?”

”Hah, no need.” Han Hua sneered: ”Whether I forgive or not is irrelevant, apology only matters if You forgives.”

Pointing at You Hongchang: ”This is our You. If he says you’re forgiven it counts, otherwise, even if you break your heads, it’s useless.”

Li Xiaoqin looked at You, surprised to see he wasn’t injured, doubt creeping in.

Zhao Erdan also found it strange: ”Director, why should my son apologize if he was the one hit?”

”Haha, Zhao Hu’s father, you’re joking.” Han Hua shook his head at Zhao Erdan’s crude demeanor: ”Is there any right or wrong in this world? What’s your status compared to You’s? If he apologizes, would you dare accept it?”

Zhao Erdan’s face turned red: ”You’re implying I’m poor?”

”Wow, some self-awareness.” Han Hua shook his head and sighed: ”Like father like son, a mouse can only dig holes. Yet no such realization, wanting to attend our school, truly delusional.”
