My Silly, Sweet Wife

”Siping, this has nothing to do with you!” Manager Song, whose full name was Song Hongyu, was also a senior member of the Chen Group.

As the manager of the finance department, Song Hongyu had capabilities, and since the Chen Group was growing bigger, more and more people were trying to ingratiate themselves with her, and many were sending gifts.

Especially in recent times, after collaborating with the Star Group and swallowing the Longteng Group, Song Hongyu had soared to new heights and was flattered wherever she went.

Unconsciously, Song Hongyu’s mindset changed. She even arranged for her nephew to enter the finance department and made him her secretary with just a few words.

When her nephew got beaten today, Song Hongyu was already feeling a bit unhappy. But she knew that Ye Guichen was Chen Ziran’s fiancé and didn’t want to make things rigid, so she glared at Song Siping and then said to Ye Guichen: ”Manager Ye, whatever the issue is, we can discuss it back in the office. Look, a mere security guard making you come all the way here, beating my nephew. It’s laughable!”

”Laughable?” Ye Guichen sneered, ”Zhao Erdan got injured because of Ziran. His medical expenses were all covered by the company, you know that, right?”

Song Hongyu smiled awkwardly and nodded, ”I know.”

”Then what’s this about two thousand yuan?” Ye Guichen pointed at the envelope in Song Siping’s hand.

The smile on Song Hongyu’s face slowly faded, and she confidently said, ”Manager Ye, I know about your relationship with Mr. Chen, but you’re just the manager of the Security Department. It seems you’re overstepping into the finance department’s affairs, aren’t you?”

In Song Hongyu’s view, being a senior in the Chen Group and managing the entire group’s finances, even Chen Ziran wouldn’t dare to easily move her.

The Ye Guichen in front of her was just the manager of the Security Department because of his relationship with Chen Ziran. Besides being able to fight, what other skills did he have?

This kind of person who climbed up by relying on others dared to question her in front of others, naturally making her lose face.

Zhao Erdan and his wife also felt the ill vibes from Song Hongyu and immediately grew nervous.

”Boss, maybe we should let it go?”

Zhao Erdan knew Ye Guichen’s temper. If they offended Song Hongyu, which then affected the operations of the Chen Group, it would be a big problem.

Ye Guichen ignored Zhao Erdan, having understood what Song Hongyu meant.

She didn’t take him seriously at all.

”Manager Song, I’ll just ask you one thing, are you taking kickbacks?” Ye Guichen didn’t want to waste more words.

Song Hongyu crossed her arms, unmoved, and said with a mocking smile, ”Manager Ye, I call you Manager Ye out of respect because we’re colleagues. Don’t take it too seriously. Frankly, as the finance manager, so what if I take some money? Even Chen Ziran turns a blind eye. If I leave the finance department now, let’s see if the Chen Group doesn’t plunge into chaos.”

”So you’re admitting it?”

”Yes, I admit it.” Song Hongyu said confidently, ”Manager Ye, you hit my nephew. I’m magnanimous and won’t hold it against you. If there’s nothing else, we’ll be leaving.”

With that, she turned to leave, completely disregarding Ye Guichen.

”Manager Song, since that’s the case, you don’t need to go back.” Ye Guichen took out his phone, ”You’re fired.”

”Fired?” Manager Song burst out laughing, ”Manager Ye, are you confused? Call Mr. Chen and see if she’d fire me? I’m not afraid to tell you that if you dare to fire me, I can take two-thirds of the finance department with me. Then let’s see how the Chen Group operates.”

”Right, kid, who do you think you are that you can fire someone just like that!” Song Siping also shouted with a thick neck.

Zhao Erming and his wife were terrified by this.

”Boss, let’s just let it go. I’m really fine.”

Ye Guichen directly dialed Chen Ziran’s number, ”Song Hongyu is suspected of embezzlement. Notify the Justice Department immediately and file a case against her.”

Chen Ziran was stunned, wanting to say she already knew, but hearing Ye Guichen’s unquestionable tone, she nodded, ”Alright, I’ll notify the Justice Department right away. But...but what about our finance department...”

”Don’t worry about that. Someone will take care of it soon.” Ye Guichen hung up the phone.

”Damn, Aunt! Did I hear wrong? It sounded like he was ordering the CEO of the Chen Group?” Song Siping laughed at the absurdity, ”Aunt, he even wants to hand you over to the authorities. What a joke, hahaha, that’s the funniest thing I’ve heard.”

Song Hongyu also felt Ye Guichen was bluffing and sneered, ”Manager Ye, is this fun for you? You’re just Chen Ziran’s fiancé, not even an official son-in-law yet. Would Mr. Chen listen to you?”

However, the next second, Song Hongyu’s phone rang.

She was stunned and seeing it was a company call, she immediately answered, ”What’s going on?”

”Manager, it’s bad. The Justice Department said you’ve been fired. They’re all in our finance department, auditing the accounts.”

”What?” Song Hongyu couldn’t believe it, staring at Ye Guichen, not understanding why Chen Ziran would sacrifice the Chen Group’s interests to deal with her. After a moment, she became furious, ”Ye Guichen, do you know the consequences of this? With a single word from me, the finance department’s accounts will be in chaos. Then let’s see what you do! Hahaha, at this point, unless you find a more professional team than mine, the Chen Group is done for!”

Ye Guichen shrugged, ”You don’t have to worry about that.”

He then took out his phone again and dialed another number, ”Immediately dispatch twenty professional accountants from the Star Group to take over the Chen Group’s finance department within a day.”

”The Star Group?” Hearing Ye Guichen’s words, Song Hongyu was completely shaken.

The Star Group was far superior to the Chen Group. They had already established an office in Yun City, even though their office building was still under construction, the team was there.

Could Ye Guichen command people from Star Group?

”Are you really going for mutual destruction?” Finally, Song Hongyu was scared.

She had heard of Ye Guichen’s close relationship with the Star Group but dismissed it as rumors.

How could a mere fiancé know people from the Star Group?

But now, Song Hongyu suddenly realized it was not a rumor, and judging by Ye Guichen’s demeanor, the Star Group seemed to obey his orders.

Ye Guichen waved his hand dismissively, ”Someone like you isn’t worth mutual destruction. Don’t worry, the two of you will just serve a few years in prison. No big deal.”
