Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

It matches perfectly with these materials.

”Let’s go with a ring—simple and practical,” Alka said directly after some thought.

For jewelry, it’s certainly a versatile choice.

Since Alka had already decided, Simon nodded and asked, ”What abilities might this Divine Essence provide?”

Knowing the basic abilities is crucial for configuring the equipment to maximize its features.

Drawing upon his knowledge, Alka recalled what he had seen and answered, ”The traits of stars relate to divination, allowing one to see the essence of a person through their natal star. It can also see through disguises; under the night sky, all disguises will vanish. The more stars in the sky, the stronger the power. Like stars, it enables flight, with a trajectory resembling that of stars. It can also summon stars for attacks...”

What Alka described were the abilities once used by Hochal Meira through the Divine Essence. But what Alka mentioned seemed more like techniques derived from the Treasure’s abilities, rather than its fundamental nature.

Alka was aware of this issue and said somewhat helplessly, ”The concept of ’stars’ is too abstract. It encompasses so-called divination and fate, as well as the symbolism of twinkling stars and shooting meteors. It also includes the guidance supposedly offered by twinkling Starlight in the sky.”

In simple terms, it was too vague, covering a broad range.

Such abilities, when applied to different people, could lead to diverse uses, even if Alka knew Hochal Meira’s techniques. Personal habits could yield different powers. The essence is too abstract, unlike the Mirror Surface or Dream Catcher, which are more straightforward.

After hearing Alka’s words, Simon nodded, having a rough understanding. ”Let’s start then,” he said. ”Think about how we should construct it. I’ll first discuss the properties of these materials with you all.”

Then the four of them began working collaboratively. Such thoroughness was warranted because it involved an item that would carry a Scepter-level Divine Essence. It was to become a Scepter-level Treasure, so the utmost care was necessary.

Chadite began drawing up the designs based on their requirements. Lucilia reviewed the documents, selecting usable Spells and necessary rituals. Using her knowledge, she examined whether improvements could be made by integrating them to enhance the characteristics of the vessel. Simon and Alka naturally focused on constructing the ring’s body according to the material properties. All four devoted their full energy to this project, even becoming somewhat oblivious to eating and sleeping.

Jason sat on the deck, looking at Chadite and Lucilia, and asked, ”Are they still in the manufacturing hall?”

The two nodded.

They had checked out of the inn and returned to the Dawn Sound. Primarily because the precision tools they needed were in the ship’s hold. So, everyone returned to their rooms on board to rest, as the inn wasn’t far from the port. Although they weren’t at sea, but rather in a shipyard warehouse on the shore, they had spent a little money to rent out the entire warehouse.

”You seem anxious. Is something bothering you?” Chadite asked, noticing Jason pacing.

Upon hearing this, Jason nodded. ”I received news that another member of the Nafasi Clan has appeared on the island.”

”Another one?”

”Is the information accurate?”

Jason nodded again. ”It’s reportedly quite accurate. I checked with Church personnel, and it’s confirmed. Moreover, they seem to be planning to settle here, having stayed for more than half a year now.”

Chadite nodded at this news. ”In that case, keep an eye out. It would be best to make their acquaintance.”

Jason nodded; he had the same intention.

Just then, the sound of footsteps on wooden planks came from below deck, catching their attention. Alka and Simon walked up from below. They had heavy dark circles under their eyes, and visible fatigue was etched on their faces. With their stamina, such a state indicated they hadn’t slept for several days. In the Endless Sea, two or three days were equivalent to four or five ordinary days. This, combined with their intense concentration during the crafting process, naturally resulted in their current exhausted state.

”We’ll take a break and discuss things later,” Alka said.

Seeing their condition, everyone nodded and accepted the item Alka handed over, watching as the two returned to their room.

Chadite looked at the little box in her hand and opened it. Inside lay a ring sparkling with blue Starlight.

Jason glanced over and asked, ”Is this the result of your recent efforts?”

Chadite and Lucilia both nodded.

With the ring now forged, it was nearly time to begin the fusion ritual. Upon hearing this, all other companions who had been exploring the island promptly returned.

Looking at the darkened sky, Chadite turned to Jason and said, ”Jason, book a secluded chamber with the Church. We might need it soon.”

”A secluded chamber? What is that?” Jason asked, puzzled. He considered himself a Church member but had never heard of such a place.

Simon explained from the side, ”It’s an enclosed room that can provide Isolation from most interferences, necessary for conducting highly precise Magic operations.”
