Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

”Since Ulu Liwus isn’t here right now, I’m going to grab a drink, you know.”

Pororo shook his head impatiently and followed Jason out. It wasn’t because he also wanted a drink, but because he had money and Jason did not.

Soon, only Alka and several soundly sleeping Puppet Girls remained in the room. Everyone else had already left.

After resting for a while, Alka left the room and headed towards the Church.

He arrived at the main entrance of the Church, circled around, and entered through a side door. The Knights on guard and the surrounding Priests recognized Alka and didn’t stop him, merely nodding in acknowledgment.

Alka had already become acquainted with them from his previous research. After all, the island wasn’t particularly large or small, and the Church had a limited number of personnel, so it was easy to get to know everyone after staying for a while.

Wandering through the huge church hall, he arrived at the library on the periphery.

”Alka? Long time no see! Has it been a year already? That ship you’ve docked out at sea is quite conspicuous,” a middle-aged man with glasses, sitting at the counter, said with a smile.

”Is word spreading that fast?” Alka asked, somewhat puzzled. He had only just landed. It had taken him some time to find an inn and rest, and yet, word of his arrival had already spread this far.

”Haha, my friend, that Treasure Tree on your ship is just too eye-catching! Knight Marlo even complained about having to assign extra guards to help you protect it,” the man said with a laugh, adjusting his glasses.

Alka could only shrug helplessly. ”Please thank Knight Marlo for me. The Holy Mother will surely bless such a dependable man.”

The man nodded. ”Anything to ask this time?” After all, Alka didn’t come here genuinely intending to read books.

”I want to know if there are any Spells or rituals related to stars or the starry sky.”

Hearing Alka’s words, the man frowned slightly. ”Regarding stars and the starry sky?”

He frowned in thought, then flipped through the thick directory in his hands. ”There is some, but not much is recorded here, so it might not contain what you want. Also, there’s a lot of duplicate content. If you want more, I suggest you go take a look at the Great Library next door. They enjoy collecting all sorts of unusual information; even if they don’t have exactly what you need, you’ll find plenty of clues and insights there.”

The ”next door” he referred to was, naturally, the Holy Machine Church.

Alka nodded. ”Thanks, I’ll head over then.”

”Go on. It’s in the fourth row, the thirteenth bookcase from the right. Most of it is kept there.”

Following the directions, Alka arrived before a towering bookcase.

*Broken Star*, *The Ever-Changing Star*, *The Dense Night Sky*, *Countless Star Changes*, *Starry Sky Demon*, *Otherworld Star Extinction*...

Countless books related to stars and the night sky were arrayed here. Alka casually picked one up and began to flip through it.

Most of the records here described the changes in the starry sky that occurred after the world was shattered and lost its barrier. Only then did Alka realize how much this world knew about the Star Realm—far more deeply than he had initially thought.

”Machiark Mercenary Group, originating from among the dense expanse, from the northern direction, the fourth star of the Southern Triangle Zone.”

A mercenary group from the Otherworld?

My understanding is still too limited.

Besides these, there were various Divines who had once taken stars as part of their responsibilities.

Alka saw a familiar name here: Hochal Meira.

He began to read the information about her from an observer’s perspective.

Alright, there isn’t much information here either; it’s just a brief mention.

The information they had previously acquired in the Land of Fragrance came from the Holy Scripture and was heavily embellished. Active during the Divine War, she was an important Priest under the Flower Fairy. It was said that the Flower Fairy had granted her Divinity originating from the stars. Outsiders gave her a title: Secret Technique Star Flower.

Alka flipped through all sorts of information about the starry sky.

He finally saw something akin to a star-related ritual. Moreover, this ritual had been excavated from some ruins—an archaeological find related to a certain ancient Starry Sky Divine.

Alka, finally having made a discovery, perked up slightly and began to examine it more intently.

As for Spells related to stars, Alka finally found several.

[Starlight] Its brightness isn’t very high, but its penetration is extremely strong. It can be seen in the night sky even from extremely far away and is generally used for signal transmission or atop a Lighthouse.

[Stellar Divination] The Core Spell with the broadest applicability for star-based divination, it is extremely accurate in predicting the destinies of mortals. However, when it concerns individuals who are not ordinary mortals, the accuracy likely drops to about 10% to 15%. Furthermore, it frequently provides incorrect information, often expressed in peculiar ways. Use with caution.

Below, it was also written that this Spell could not be transmitted to any of the Four Divine Seas. This was because the only remaining worlds where mortals still existed were within the Four Divine Seas. In the Endless Sea, ordinary mortals had almost vanished. Most people there possessed at least some Magic Power, varying only in amount.

After gaining a general understanding of these things, Alka put the book back. He looked towards the sunlight streaming through the window beside him.

Sunlight streamed through the window. As its rays shone in, an Hourglass appeared in Alka’s hand. Nineteen hours of the day had passed; night was not far off.

Alka bid farewell to his acquaintance in the library and returned to the inn.

When Alka arrived at the inn, only Chadite and Lucilia were there, chatting about something; they seemed to be designing clothes. Everyone else was out.

The two women looked up when Alka returned.

”How was it? Any gains today?”

”Yes, I didn’t find much, but there’s more information in the Holy Machine Church’s library. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see what Simon uncovers.”

Hearing Alka’s words, they both nodded.

”Since you’re back, come take a look at these clothing designs for us. What do you think?”

”Sure, let me see.”

Saying this, Alka walked over and looked at their design sketches.
