Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 754: Revised: Chapter 334 Thank-You Gift_2

Don’t underestimate this doubling in size. The price increase isn’t as simple as just twofold.

The Pocket Ring in his hand costs roughly between 50 and 80 Golden Sails.

The price fluctuates based on local production volume.

In the Homeland Sea, it might only cost just over fifty Golden Sails, but in the Endless Sea, the price would rise to 80.

The chaotic situation increased the Difficulty of transportation, even though many islands produce Space Stones.

But for a standard, one-cubic-meter Pocket Ring, wanting one even slightly larger means the price multiplies.

For instance, the one in his hand is double the volume, but the price is five times higher.

And that’s assuming the seller isn’t trying to rip you off.

Normally, it would be six times higher; five times is practically a friend’s price.

By this calculation, these nine rings alone are worth almost as much as the nine boxes of treasure from earlier.

”How large is the space?” Chadite asked from the side.

”Two by one by one,” Alka replied.

”That large? They’re truly generous then,” Chadite said in surprise.

Jason watched these items from the side. ”This really is a token of gratitude.”

After all, the fee for their team’s services isn’t that high. They were self-aware enough to know that.

If every job paid like this, they wouldn’t need to hunt for treasure; they would have become rich as Mercenaries long ago.

”Come on, let’s divide these up,” Alka said, pushing the box over. He then slipped the ring he was holding onto his own finger.

As the ring settled onto his finger, the crystal-set band began to emit Magic Power, adjusting to fit Alka’s finger perfectly.

Such a function is essential. Otherwise, for a member of a large-bodied Race like Pororo, it would be quite troublesome.

”Damn it, it won’t go on!” Pororo exclaimed in frustration, looking at the Pocket Ring that wouldn’t fit his finger even when expanded to its maximum size.

”That shouldn’t happen,” Simon said, puzzled. He took the ring and examined it carefully.

”Modern Pocket Rings shouldn’t lack such a feature; it’s impossible that it wouldn’t be adaptable to a Merman’s physique. Besides, there are plenty of Mermen in the Endless Sea.”

After a brief examination, he immediately discovered the reason.

”Oh, this uses an older crafting technique, not a modern one designed for larger body types. Hold on, I’ll modify it for you.”

Simon said this and placed the ring in the palm of his right hand. The Hand of Precision, now a part of his arm, immediately began to work.

The metal setting flowed off, leaving only the bare, perfect crystal band.

He then took out some materials, fashioned a new filigree, and re-wrapped it around the crystal band.

This time, the filigree formed a silver-blue Thunder Pattern.

”Now try it.”

Pororo took the ring, which now fit perfectly, and admired the new pattern, nodding in satisfaction. ”Not bad at all.”

”Modify mine too,” Jason said, walking over. Then he casually took two Golden Sails from the large box nearby and handed them to Simon. ”Your tip.”

”Although I hate to rain on your parade, according to my calculations, you’re going to owe all of us money,” Chadite said quietly, standing next to Alka.

”Huh?” Jason sounded confused.

Chadite explained, ”Based on contribution, Alka and Lucilia will definitely get the largest shares this time. The Puppet Legion also gets a portion. But that one box of crystals alone is worth one-fourth of the total. Considering we’re all shipmates, even if you don’t get a single penny from the distribution, you’ll still end up owing us some.”

After Chadite quickly explained the distribution, Jason became dejected.

He glanced at the jewels piled in the box beside him, then reluctantly turned his head away. Silently, he tossed the two Golden Sails he’d intended as a tip back into the treasure box.

Simon cheerfully took the ring from Jason’s hand, then turned to Chadite and said, ”Make a note that he owes me an extra two Golden Sails.”

Jason grew even more despondent. He looked at the box of Crystal Gems by his feet and sighed.

”Then modify mine too,” Matilda said, walking over.

Everyone else also requested a change in their ring’s appearance. After all, since it was so simple, why not get it modified into a design they liked?

Lucilia, from Alka’s shoulder, and Chadite, standing beside him, silently handed their rings to Alka.

”You can modify these too, right?” they seemed to ask.

Seeing their expectant looks, Alka didn’t refuse. He took the rings with a smile and said, ”Of course. Expertly crafted and free of charge.”

...

Handling these treasures didn’t delay their plans.

They tucked their already packed luggage into their new Pocket Rings, and everyone felt much lighter.

They left the inn and headed towards the port of the Fragrant Land.

Although calling this place an ’island’ wasn’t quite accurate, it did possess a small port. It hosted various sea wagons and small fishing boats.

The Puppet Girls were seated on a large patrol machine floating behind them. Smaller puppets also clung to various members of the group.

When they reached the street, the ruins were already gone, and the bloodstains on the ground had vanished.

However, many areas were still under reconstruction, and the reconstruction process was quite peculiar.

Some Priests were cultivating new flowers and planting new seeds.

These huge, house-sized flower structures were, remarkably, actually grown from planted flowers.

”’It’s the big sisters! Those big sisters!’” a little girl’s voice exclaimed loudly from nearby.
