Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

Similarly, there was Jiu, who had wings for aerial combat. The others had all suffered some damage, more or less.

Alka began examining the damaged Puppet Girls, then recorded their condition so that Simon could start manufacturing replacement parts and check their stability.

Thus, they used the hall as a manufacturing room and began repairs.

Fortunately, these Puppet Girls were all made by them, and they had stored a batch of replacement limb parts long ago. With some newly made parts added, the repairs were conducted in an orderly manner.

Shortly after they returned, the curtain of night was drawn back.

...

「Ten hours into the daylight of the following day.」

The well-rested group gradually woke up one after another. The last to wake were Alka and Simon, who had worked until dawn. They had only gone to sleep after finishing the repair and replacement of all the Puppet Girls.

Upon waking, they smelled an aroma wafting from the hall. Their stomachs couldn’t help but RUMBLE.

”You’re awake! We’ve been waiting for you. Come quickly,” Juanlu said, looking at the two of them.

The pair hurried over, sat in their respective places, and began to eat heartily.

”It feels so good to eat well and fill your stomach!”

Hearing Alka’s words, Chadite smiled beside them.

”What’s the situation outside now?”

”I went out for a look when I woke up,” Jason said as he ate. ”Most of the blood has been cleaned up. They are still repairing the damaged greenhouses and clearing the rubble caused by the battle.”

It seems that the whole Land of Fragrance is in a state of mourning and busy work.

”Then let’s not disturb them. Let’s rest again tonight, and tomorrow we’ll head to the Giant Wood Habitat to retrieve the Treasure,” Alka said after a moment’s thought.

Hearing this, everyone at the table nodded in agreement, without any objection.

At this time, the Fragrant City was caught in mourning and reconstruction. They couldn’t offer any help, and the heavy atmosphere wasn’t suitable for them either. When they returned with the Treasure, perhaps things would be much better here.

”Has Xuan woken up?” Alka suddenly asked.

”Awake!” Xuan suddenly jumped out from some corner and landed on Alka’s lap.

Looking at the awakened Xuan, Alka asked, ”I didn’t see you in the Dream Realm yesterday. Where did you go?”

”Hmph! Didn’t that bad guy run away yesterday? I went after him in the Dream Realm,” Xuan said proudly, hands on his hips.

Alka looked puzzled. Bad guy? Then he suddenly realized who Xuan might be referring to. Considering Xuan’s location at that time, it could only be that member of the Nafasi Clan, the planner of this operation—the black-robed man who had left alone and even mocked them as they rushed to the house.

As Xuan spoke, everyone’s attention focused on him.

”Did you find him?” Alka asked Xuan.

Xuan shook his head with some regret. ”I can roughly guess the direction he went, but the Dream Realm there was too chaotic.”

Hearing this, Alka looked towards his side and rear, in the direction of the Giant Wood Habitat.

The Dream Realm was too chaotic? He couldn’t help but think of that chaotic area, and the two malevolent Divines from yesterday who were in less-than-ideal states. One was bloodthirsty and brutal. The other was foul-mouthed and crazy, apparently able to use some kind of Energy within the Dream Realm. Thinking of the Divine who seemed related to fear and Nightmares, Alka couldn’t help but recall some of the things he had said. From his words, it was clear that Divine had known the original owner of Alka’s fragment. His multiple attempts to obstruct him suggested that both he and the fragment’s original owner were Divines in the Dream Realm. If that Divine was within the Giant Wood Habitat, it would explain why the Dream Realm in that area was so chaotic.

As Alka was thinking, Xuan added, ”Although I didn’t find his exact location, I marked him as he entered that area.”

”Marked?”

”Yes, I learned it from Shadow Robe,” Xuan said.

”Does it have any effect?”

Hearing Alka’s question, Xuan nodded and replied, ”As long as I get close enough in the Dream Realm, I can detect his position and a more specific direction.”

Hearing this, Alka squinted slightly and nodded.

This was indeed a valuable discovery. Finally, they had some clues and a basis for finding that guy. Completing the commission would not only allow the people of the Land of Fragrance to get their revenge but also help them obtain the final component of the Treasure.

After eating and drinking to their hearts’ content, they didn’t leave the Flower Forest. Instead, they quietly stayed at their inn, each occupied with their own tasks.

The battle from yesterday was not without gains for them. They needed to carefully ponder and understand its lessons, identify their shortcomings, and figure out how to address them.

Of course, this was true for everyone except Simon.

He needed to go out and recover those patrol drones that hadn’t been completely destroyed but were shot down. Yesterday, he had spared no expense, deploying almost his entire stock and even using special constructs for all operations. He also needed to find those six mechanical devices placed at various nodes and the huge central hub under the Celestial Flower.

He wasn’t wealthy enough to casually discard these items. These mechanical devices were things he had crafted through sheer hard work, spending almost all his fortune on their creation.
