Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

He had to convey it in a way that Alka could precisely understand.

”Reproduce?”

”Got it. Continue,” Alka immediately cut off that topic and prompted him to go on.

”After the world’s shattered consciousness went into Deep Sleep, no new kin were born. The losses in the outside world also affected us. Our numbers inevitably decreased. With the current number of dream creatures, it’s difficult to repair the outside world.”

Having said this much, Shadow Robe thought for a moment, preparing to say everything at once.

”Truly repairing the world isn’t that easy. The current world is stuck in a vicious cycle. To have the world quickly and stably repaired, fog-like creatures would need to be spread across all parts of the Dream Realm, but that’s clearly impossible. Currently, fog-like creatures can only gather in the dream realms corresponding to more densely populated areas, and even then, their numbers are somewhat insufficient. To increase the number of fog-like creatures, one way is to revive the world, but that would plunge her into inescapable pain. The second way is if life in the outside world increases, chaos lessens, and things become stable.”

For life in the outside world to increase, chaos to lessen, and stability to be achieved, more fog-like creatures are needed. And more fog-like creatures require life in the outside world to increase, chaos to lessen, and for things to become stable. However, it’s already a vicious cycle. No matter what is done, the status quo can only be maintained, or it might even worsen.

”So, these buildings?”

”Yes, that’s right. Tens of thousands of years ago, the Dream Kings of that era established such standards. Although the probability of generating new kin is low, it’s not zero. Moreover, these buildings can also enhance the repair of the outside environment.”

With this explanation, Alka completely understood.

So the so-called Royal Court is equivalent to the largest world-repair corporation.

At least for Alka, whose Royal Court consists almost entirely of fog-like creatures, their Royal Court is indeed like this.

This aligns with my goals and philosophy.

After listening, Alka nodded and asked no further questions. He even began to observe the construction process of these fog-like creatures more closely, diligently trying to understand how these buildings and the creatures themselves influenced the world. He needed to understand the details, to know them more clearly. Only then, when he became stronger later, could he truly contribute to repairing the world.

To find the Sea of Moisture, they had spent over 100 days and nights at sea. But when they left the Sea of Moisture and headed straight for Gemini Island, the journey took less than 20 days and nights. This was because, at that time, the Sea of Moisture had apparently drifted to a location not far from the Gemini Island chain. It could be considered a stroke of luck.

”We’re finally about to arrive,” Jason said, looking at the large cluster of islands in the distance. Seeing the ships coming and going around them this time, he sighed in relief.

They circled the edge of the island cluster and entered the central harbor through its entrance. They had officially returned to Gemini Island. It was just as they had left it; there was nothing peculiar.

They docked the ship.

A Priest wearing the robes of the Holy Mother Church, accompanied by several soldiers, was looking at Alka’s ship. His gaze also fell upon the Treasure Tree on their ship, which inevitably attracted significant attention.

Alka and the others gazed at the Treasure Tree and couldn’t help but sigh. The tree was far too conspicuous, yet it was impossible to hide completely. In such a crowded harbor, they sometimes had to lament that this was the first minor trouble caused by the ship’s modifications.

The Priest looked at the ship’s prow, which resembled a distinctive bird head. Clearly, he recognized whose ship it was.

”Lord Alka, can the tree on your ship be covered?” the Priest asked loudly.

Hearing the question from below, Alka helplessly shook his head.

This tree is still in its growth phase; covering it for an extended period is clearly not feasible.

”Then how long do you plan to stay here?”

”At least a week,” Alka replied.

Hearing Alka’s response, the Priest nodded. Then, Magic Power surged from beneath the water, forming two currents that lifted the Sound of Dawn onto the rails ahead. As the rails operated, the sailboat moved into an open-air warehouse.

Only then did everyone disembark, stepping down from the deck.

The open-air warehouse consisted of four walls that enclosed the ship, shielding it from view. Only the top of its tallest mast protruded, visible from the outside. More than providing other protections, its main purpose was to prevent outsiders from seeing the Treasure Tree, lest they be unable to suppress their avarice.

After they expressed their gratitude to the Priest, Simon said, ”I’ll head to the Church first then, to collect the materials you need and the information on those Spell rituals.”

The others nodded, watching Simon board a small ferryboat in the channel and head to the opposite shore.

They went to a nearby inn and rented several adjoining rooms.

After returning to their rooms, Alka said to everyone, ”We rarely get to come here. If there’s anything you want to buy, now’s your chance. Alright, dismissed. Feel free to do your own thing.”

It was worth noting that although they hadn’t obtained the most valuable treasure of the Nafasi Clan from the Sea of Moisture this time, their efforts in the Land of Fragrance had been fruitful. By helping the Church complete various commissions—assisting them in finding and apprehending those Cultists—almost every one of them had ended up with nearly a thousand Golden Sails. This was already a considerable fortune.

Except for Jason, of course. He, on the other hand, actually owed the group several hundred Golden Sails. He would likely only become prosperous once they managed to secure the Nafasi Clan’s treasure.

At this thought, Jason looked at Pororo.
