Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

But if it’s just a slight enhancement to reach perfection at the Fourth Stage, the cost of improvement within the same stage won’t be as high. Moreover, these monsters are merely creatures of hatred combined with remnants of souls. To put it bluntly, they might be intrinsically countered by Alka.

After thinking for a while, Alka decided to choose the second option. I’m not in a hurry, nor do I have anything urgent to do, so why risk my life for this? I just need to proceed steadily and surely, step by step.

Moreover, there was a most fatal point. With my current strength and the already severe separation from the Dream Realm, if I accidentally suffer a soul-targeted attack... although my soul might not be severely injured, is there a possibility that the already unstable connection could be severed directly? Though I would still be alive, my reality and dream would become separated. My body in reality would collapse like a soulless corpse. This is not what I want; I’ve always been trying to avoid this.

And if he reached the Fourth Stage, such a connection would instantly stabilize, and his strength would also be greater.

Frankly, acquiring this treasure still boiled down to the reward he’d receive for rescuing Hochal Meira. According to the description on the map, with his current abilities, Alka was fully capable of guiding her to meet the Flower Fairy. Perfect. This treasure is practically guaranteed. I just need to elevate my power to the Fourth Stage.

After deciding on his course of action, Alka put away the map. He steadied his mood and looked at the two maps laid out below.

One was a map of the Jade Fortress and its surroundings. The key target was the Nafasi Clan’s treasure. This too was a must-have; although it might not strengthen their power, it could enhance their wealth. As a Treasure Hunting Team, it was a disgrace that they were inexplicably short on money. Jason had even resorted to living on borrowed money.

Next was the map of Trial Island and Vastva. These two islands harbored another two Scepter-level treasures. And both had already reached perfection, only requiring them to meet the requirements to obtain them.

Alka couldn’t help but grumble aloud, ”When I think about it, this orange treasure before us is actually the easiest to acquire among those of the same level. The one we learned about earliest is the hardest to obtain, while the one we learned about last is within easy reach!”

It perfectly reflected a truth Alka had understood long ago. Things deliberately buried or hidden are the hardest to find. Yet treasures left behind due to accidental death are the easiest to get. Because it’s very possible that as you walk past, it’s buried right in the soil beneath your feet, and just digging a bit could get it. Commonly known as picking up treasures.

Back in the Homeland Sea, Alka had done this not just once or twice. Though none were valuable, the joy of picking up money was very real.

Just like this Scepter-level treasure. It was so simple and straightforward; defeating the monster was enough to get it, without any other bizarre conditions. Unlike Vastva and Trial Island, which not only require strength but also various other conditions. Trial Island even adjusts the difficulty based on your power.

Thinking of this, Alka looked at the map with the two columns of orange light. Trial Island was still the same as before. However, when Alka tapped on the orange light column of Vastva, the information changed. The treasure information, which had seemed complete, now had further details.

[Heart of Vastva]

[Difficulty: A Quarter of Power (Third Stage)]

[Fame: 126,000]

[Treasure Information: The city-state Vastva, the Ancient City, whose people believe in the Ancient Secret God of the Four Parts, also known as Change...

...Gather the treasures of the four Great Temples, and a quarter of power will be automatically obtained. Within the council, distribute the treasures, place them in each statue’s hand, and chant ’Vastva’ to obtain the hidden treasure.

The original unlocking method can no longer be used due to special reasons. You need to acquire other treasures related to spring, summer, and autumn. Additionally, you must obtain a sliver of Divine Power to simulate a quarter of power in the council disc to unlock the treasure.

Summer clue: Balazs.

Spring clue: Mermaid Relics.] (Perfect)

Two additional sentences had appeared, directly indicating to Alka the information about the treasures represented by the summer and spring seasons.

The summer clue is Balazs. Does it have something to do with him? Alka wondered. Balazs… his treasure seems connected to fire. Although they hadn’t seen Balazs in action much, every time he acted, various flames would converge into attacks. So they had long known that Balazs’ treasure was related to fire.

He recalled what he had seen today. The symbols of summer include fire. Are the symbols really that broad in meaning?

The spring clue is the Mermaid Relics. But the Mermaid Relics I know of are just a blue magic item; there’s nothing peculiar about them. If I have to connect these, then it must be the treasure left behind by that merfolk. She hid the treasure on the very border of the Life and Death Boundary. So, could this treasure be the representation of spring?

Alka couldn’t help but recall what Julia had said about the information left by the merfolk. The Life Master went to the Life and Death Boundary to attempt to change this abnormal environment.
