Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

In the temporary meeting room, everyone held a small meeting, exchanging and sharing the intelligence they each knew and their current goals. After exchanging intelligence in their specially designed room, they returned to their rooms to rest.

Alka returned to his room. He didn’t go to sleep immediately; instead, he sat by the desk. A large number of maps appeared in his hand. Each of these maps was sealed and arranged neatly. You could even see specific numbering information on slips of paper tucked into the upper right corner of each map. On a small piece of paper hanging beside one map, you could see the treasures obtained from it. These were records Alka had made for the islands he had visited, documenting the gains from those islands, and were paired with his sailing manual.

He picked up the map of the island in his current region and tapped on an orange point of light.

[Star of Hochal Meira]

[Difficulty: Extinction Abhorrence (Stages 4-5)]

[Fame: 1]

[Treasure Information: An ancient Land of Flowers, the legacy of Morning Star Hochal Meira. 160 meters underwater, this is where Hochal Meira perished alongside those who dared offend her Divine; it is also her burial place. The hatred from the enemies she eradicated formed into Abhorrences here. They bear extreme animosity towards the one who granted them death. In this place, external perception is blocked, and they hunt every living being within range, determined to make their foe stay with them forever, to be eternally tormented, unable even to proceed to the afterlife. Her soul has been tormented severely, closing herself off completely, hoping only to meet her Divine one last time. Hold an artifact bearing the aura of the Flower Fairy when you visit this place; Hochal Meira’s residual spiritual body will help you suppress these Abhorrences. If not, you will face the full strength of these Abhorrences, who possess deadly techniques that strike directly at the soul. When you clear the Abhorrences and restore her to peace, she will gift you her power. If you bear an artifact with the aura of the Flower Fairy, she will grant you more. Guide her to meet the Flower Fairy, and you will achieve perfection.] (Perfect)

Looking at the treasure information, Alka thought, It’s simply perfect. Obtaining the treasure was very straightforward. There were monsters around the treasure, and as long as one could eliminate these monsters, the treasure could be obtained directly.

But the strength of these monsters was only at the Fifth Stage; their danger lay in their attacks that struck directly at the soul. All soul-targeted attacks were among the most potent. Few people possessed soul defense techniques, so soul attacks were exceedingly rare. And soul attacks were mostly deadly.

Isn’t this a stroke of luck? It certainly is! Seeing this information, Alka couldn’t help but smile. Alka wasn’t confident about much else, but he was extremely confident regarding his soul. His spiritual and mental strength far exceeded his current power level, and the intensity of his soul was extraordinary. Coupled with his identities as a Dream Realm King and a Divine Descendant, his soul wasn’t necessarily equal to a Divine’s, but it was at least on par with that of a naturally divine being from ancient times. Unless a soul attack was powerful enough to have soul-penetrating properties, it would be difficult to inflict severe harm on him.

The attacks used by these Abhorrences were soul attacks; correspondingly, they were also vulnerable to soul attacks. The difficulty just dropped significantly. Plus, with the blessing he had recently received from the Flower Fairy on his forehead, he believed this mark would absolutely be enough to awaken Hochal Meira’s slumbering soul, helping him suppress these monsters.

”Blocking external perception… so this is why the treasure is so close to the Land of Fragrance, yet no one has come to retrieve the corpse?” Alka mused, looking at this section of the treasure information. He had already been puzzled when he saw the information at the celebration. After all, the difficulty of this treasure was actually very low for powerful individuals like them. It only required Fifth Stage strength; anyone beyond Fifth Stage could obtain it perfectly. And the Great Gardener’s strength was definitely at the Sixth Stage, or even higher. Obtaining this treasure would hardly be a challenge for him. So why was such a dangerous place left so close to the Home of Fragrance, just tens of kilometers away? Not to mention, it was the resting place of a Divine Will Executor’s corpse.

So it was because those slain enemies, unreconciled to death, had shielded all perception of her corpse’s location, ensuring her mortal remains were left abandoned in this place. Thinking about it carefully… it was truly, utterly malicious. The place where the Divine she worshipped and believed in lay, just tens of kilometers away from her. And she had remained nearby like that for tens of thousands of years.

Don’t think about it, don’t think about it! The mere thought made Alka furious.

He realigned his thoughts. If he took a riskier approach, he could actually go down alone right now to claim this treasure. If he was willing to use his trump cards, the probability of success wasn’t low. After all, he could directly exert Fifth Stage strength, though it would come at a certain cost and be quite troublesome. However, considering that the blessing he was now known to possess could awaken Hochal Meira’s residual soul to aid him, there was a real possibility he could obtain it.

The other option was the safer one: wait until his strength truly broke through to the Fourth Stage. By then, he would be able to easily unleash the considerable power of a Fourth Stage adept. Jumping two stages from the Third Stage to attain Fifth Stage strength came at a great price and had significant side effects.
