Treasure Hunting System： The Ocean Conquerer

”Is this the place?” Chadite asked, looking at the layer of vines below, which appeared no different from any other area.

Alka glanced at the map and nodded. ”That’s right, this is it. It seems like another underwater treasure spot.”

After confirming, Chadite slowly submerged herself in the water, leaving only her head above the surface. Her entire body was underwater; she knelt on one knee, her hands resting on the layer of vines.

The Ring of Light appeared above her head, and the triangular gemstone began to rotate slightly.

In an instant, the surroundings dimmed slightly, creating a stark contrast with the nearby sunlit areas, as if a dark cloud had drifted overhead.

A large amount of light emanated from Chadite’s body, transforming into silver ripples that began to probe beneath the layer of vines.

Normally, they wouldn’t do this. The main reason was Alka’s clear warning that this place was extremely dangerous and required utmost caution. Therefore, Chadite conducted an initial deep probe.

The silver ripples penetrated the vines, traveled down through the seawater, and probed even deeper.

Although the seawater and vegetation slightly hindered the expansion of the silver ripples, there were no spell-inhibiting materials in this area. Thus, this hindrance was negligible.

The silver ripples continued to expand.

A vast expanse of the sea below was now clearly mapped in Chadite’s mind. In her mind, Chadite now had a clear, three-dimensional image of the area.

Apart from the two of them, Lucilia, Pororo, Julia, and Matilda were also present.

Jason and his group were responsible for gathering information in the city, so they did not accompany them. To collect such relatively covert information, they needed to invest considerable time, and it was ideal if the collectors were human. Sometimes, one had to admit that, compared to other races with distinctly different appearances, fellow humans found it easier to gain trust.

While Chadite was probing, a gust of wind swept down from the sky, and a dazzling object, shimmering in the sunlight, plummeted towards them.

It landed steadily in the water.

It was the Crystal Dragon Ululius, who lived outside and was in a very bad mood.

Julia and Matilda stepped forward to communicate and comfort her, and from the Pocket Ring, they took out the gemstones Jason had given them before leaving. Then they helped down the few members of the Puppet Legion from Ulu Liwus’s back and thoughtfully began to check if any of their parts needed repairing.

Judging by the wings on their backs, the members of this Puppet Legion were all from Shi’s team. They were responsible for observing the safety around Ulu Liwus and reporting any situations Ulu Liwus encountered to Alka and the others. After all, Ulu Liwus was still a child.

With the gemstones, the Crystal Dragon’s mood noticeably improved. From the sound of her voice, it seemed she was still complaining that Jason hadn’t come out to see her. The two women could only comfort her from the side.

Besides them, Lucilia was nearby with Wu and five Puppet Girls from Wu’s team. They were calibrating some peculiar conical mechanical devices.

”I haven’t detected any unusual energy fluctuations...” Chadite reported. ”If there’s anything strange, it’s that sixteen thick, long vines are entwined together, forming an object that descends into the deep sea, to a place beyond the reach of my ripples.”

”More than 100 meters?” Alka asked.

Chadite nodded. ”Hmm...”

If it exceeded 100 meters, the environment in that sea area would obviously not be suitable for Alka and the others to fight in. Only Pororo and his two companions could perfectly utilize their full power in that area.

This is troublesome.

Alka had hoped that by waiting for his strength to break through to the Fourth Stage, he could rely on hidden means to access the power of the Dream Realm to deal with this danger. Clearly, the excessive depth of the sea significantly increased the risk. More preparation is needed.

”Wu, it’s your turn,” Alka said.

Wu and her team members nodded. They began to operate the conical devices, sending them deep into the sea. Of course, they only handled the controls and didn’t enter the water themselves.

These detection devices moved underwater towards the dozen intertwined vines Chadite had mentioned, following them as they descended.

These were Simon’s specially constructed deep-sea detection machines.

As the devices gradually entered the deep sea, connection was lost with all of them simultaneously.

The six Puppet Girls opened their eyes at the same time.

”Something suddenly destroyed the detection devices at a depth of 168 meters.”

It seemed there was indeed danger.

”Can you determine what it was?” Alka asked.

”We couldn’t detect it,” Wu shook her head and said with some regret. ”The enemy’s attack was incredibly swift, instantly destroying all six detection devices spread within a 20-meter range.”

It seemed even more dangerous than they had anticipated.

”How about I go down and take a look?” Pororo suggested from the side.

Alka shook his head. ”No, it’s too dangerous.”

It looks like this expedition will be for nothing.

Other than confirming that the area below was indeed dangerous and that the hazard zone began at a depth of 160 meters, they had made no further gains.

Alka was decisive. He immediately gave up on probing further.

”Pack up. We’re going back,” Alka commanded.

Having wrapped things up, everyone began to return to the city.

On the way, they encountered patrolling soldiers who seemed to recognize Alka and his group, nodding as they passed. This was mainly because their team was quite conspicuous.
